Q Television Network Launch Announcement

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Sep 8, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Frank Olsen announced today that Q Television Network has solved the technical problems that prevented it from launching the Network on September 4, 2004. With assistance of RCN, Network Teleport Systems and Firestone Communications, Q Television Network will be on the air September 8, 2004. Over the next 45 days Q Television Network will be rolling out its original programming, which will be 20% life and 10% recorded. Q Television Network goal is to rapidly grow to 150,000 subscribers within the first year and 250,000 the second year. Olsen went on to say that a second goal is to make the Network interactive with its subscribers through unique use of the latest technology. The launch on RCN is a major breakthrough for the Network, as it will showcase its resolve to serve the needs of the community it attracts.

In an unrelated event to the launch, the company announced that it has completed a second round of financing by obtaining a second loan of $1,000,000 and an equity placement of another $1,000,000 with its financial backers in New York, thus enabling the company to grow to its full potential.

About Q Television Network

This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. lzguy - Exactly! Nice catch. $1,000,000 a month the first year operating and yes, San Francisco will have 150,000 subs alone.

End of 2006 QTN should have $23,850,000 in revenues if Frank meets his goal which I think is way below what they will actually do!

I know it sounds picky, but I just called QTN to remind them to change "life" to "live". This is a PR that will be READ. The young man who answered was very courteous and said that they had just received a call about that. He had to put me on hold--lots of calls coming in??????
I should have also asked him about the "other" 70% percent--10% + 20%=30%. If it's not live or recorded--what is it?
