On a chart, the CCI tells you the stock you're thinking of buying is overbought, chances are it will pull back. If, however, the CCI indicates the stock is oversold, That's the perfect icing for the breakout play.
Another is, when you see a divergence between the CCI and the stock's current price (the stock's price is high, but the CCI reads-100, or -200), You can bet the stock will soon follow the direction of the CCI. Crystal-ball effect!

Before my husband and I signed up for RCN I asked the sales person if they had BET and THE WORD (24 hour preaching), she said yes.

NO they didn't have THE WORD, we could have waited to get BET from another company if we had known sooner!!!

We received internet, telephone and cable from RCN and no WORD!!!

The billing from day one was wrong!!! I paid with a master card they gave me a confirmation number. The next bill came it was doubled. The confirmation number didn't matter, said it's just given to the customer to let them know we got their information, not that the card went throught (that was a first for me!!!) Anytime I pay a bill a confirmation number is given because they took the payment right then and there! So we from there had made double payments and over payments and still no WORD!!!

RCN has horrible service and customer service and just stick to Comcast or the Dish!

Oh yeah, RCN says we still owe them!

My daughter switched her phone service on August 2 to RCN (which is primarily a cable company). For the first few days, every time I tried to call her, the phone rang, no one answered and the answering machine did not pick up. When I saw her and mentioned this, she said that she had been at home several of the times I called, and that her answering machine had been on.

I assumed that the problem existed only between our two homes, because we have RCN phone service as well. I called RCN on August 6 to report the problem. I e-mailed them the next day and received a replay stating that the problem had been reported. They promised that it would take 24 to 48 hours to repair the problem.

I called RCN again on August 9 to tell them that I still couldn’t get through. The young man I spoke with (Daniel) told me that there was no record on a complaint. He promised to have the problem repaired. That night, we received a call from our grandson’s teacher who said that she had been trying to call my daughter all day, and the phone rang and no answering machine picked up.

We were able to reach my daughter on our cell phones since they have a different area code. We then informed her that it was obvious that she could receive no local calls at all. She then called RCN to report the problem. Since that time, she had been unable to receive ANY calls from anywhere.

Obviously, this would be a problem for anyone. However, in our case, we consider it to be of extreme importance. Our grandson is handicapped, and it is vital that his teachers be able to reach my daughter in the case of an emergency. As for me, I had a stroke two years ago, and it is very frightening to know that I cannot reach the relative who lives closest to me.

My daughter tried to call RCN today and they hung up on her twice. She finally was able to speak with a woman named Siobbhan who was rude and said "So you have cell phone don’t you? What’s the problem". My daughter asked to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor refused to speak with her.

We need to have this problem repaired IMMEDIATELY. Please help us.

Cable company appeals $2.2 million judgment

The cable guys are fighting Newtown Township through several channels - federal, state and county courts.

In July, Bucks County Judge Robert Mellon upheld a $2.2 million judgment against RCN Corp. for defaulting on an agreement to provide cable services to Newtown Township.

By the end of the month, RCN had filed an appeal to Commonwealth Court.

And last week, RCN's attorney, Andrew J. Katsock, also filed a petition to open or strike the $2.2 million judgment in Bucks County court.

That basically means RCN is asking Mellon to reconsider the facts of the case and change his decision.

"Based upon what we've done so far, we feel that, on appeal, we will be successful," Katsock said.

Briefs haven't been filed for the appeal or the petition to strike, he said.

In addition, RCN's federal case against the township claims that the township was obligated to delay its hearing and judgment on the cable company until it discussed a modification RCN proposed.

The township solicitor, Stephen B. Harris, said the township is asking Mellon to dismiss RCN's latest petition.

The township's argument is that Bucks County no longer has jurisdiction because the company already has filed an appeal in a higher court.

"My guess is that these guys have a big judgment against them, and they're going to do everything they can to get that judgment removed," Harris said.

Newtown Township and RCN signed an agreement in 1998 authorizing RCN to bring its cable services to the township by 2002.

But after receiving a letter from RCN in November 2001 that RCN would not begin construction in 2001 or 2002, the supervisors held a hearing in February 2002 and ordered RCN to pay $2.2 million.

The company isn't a hoax, if it was they could have gotten our money and not have had to work or go as far as they did... It would have ended a while ago.
