I live in the town that borders San Francisco, and as of yet we can not get RCN in our area. However my friend and colleague at work has RCN and he has been checking for me to see if QTN has been showing. Until today the answer has always been "no". I pestered him again today via e-mail, and at 1:45 pm Pacific time he wrote me back saying that he had found it on channel 255. Unfortunately I didn't see his message. But when I saw him this evening at work he told me in person that it is showing. He had not had time to watch the program that was airing, but he said that it was definitely QTN, and the signal was not scrambled.

I can only assume that Q is offering a free preview. I suppose it is possible that it was some kind of temporary test signal, but he said it looked like he came in in the middle of a show.

He's very busy and is not going to be available to check it out further tomorrow. So I urge anyone in the SF area with RCN to see if they can further confirm that it is now showing.
