Companies may repurchase their own stock on the open market, usually common shares, for many reasons. In theory, the buyback should not be a short term fix to the stock price but a rational use of cash, implying that a company's best investment alternative is to buy back its stock. Normally these purchases are done with free cash flow, but not always. What happens is that if earnings stay constant, the reduced number of shares will result in higher earnings per share, which all else being equal will result, should result, in a higher stock price.

(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE) -- Triangle
Broadcasting Company (OTCBB:GAAY) announced today
that it is increasing
its share offer to Triangle MultiMedia Limited
(OTCBB:QBID) for the
purposes of facilitating a Business Combination.

Management has requested that Triangle MultiMedia
Limited "sticker"
their current proxy to include the increased offer.
Previously,
management had offered a 1 share for 1 share
exchange. The new offer is
three and three-quarter shares of GAAY for each share
of QBID. The
offer is made to the QBID shareholders based upon the
following items:

(1) Net Asset Value of each company.
(2) Number of shares outstanding in each company.
(3) Management of each company.
(4) Share Price and Market Capitalization of each
company.

Shareholders of QBID will be asked first to consider
the new offer in
their current proxy. If the offer is not accepted by
QBID shareholders
each company will continue as an individual entity. If the
offer is
accepted then it will need to be ratified by GAAY
shareholders in a
proxy within the next 30 days following the end of the
QBID proxy
period. If GAAY shareholders do not ratify the
combination ratio then
each company will go on as individual entities. If GAAY
shareholders do
ratify the combination ratio then the companies will be
combined into a
new entity also called Triangle MultiMedia Limited on a
ratio of three

Due to a potential conflict of interest with GAAY

If insiders are selling to the company I'm OK with that because they were going to sell them any way & this way it reduces the shares being circulated. Now if they follow through & retire those same shares that would reduce the float which creates more demand on the shares actively being traded.

Did they wheel & deal some shares to do this deal? Again I'm OK with that because they can take a fraction of those same shares & buy their debt back after the launch. I sincerely hope that Frank did this because in the end if he reduced the float even by a 10th that will help increase demand. But what will really send the stock flying would be like you said, a well timed announcement that they reduced the float by retiring shares through a buyback.

All they have to do is launch!

Feb 09, 2004 (The Business Press - Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News via
COMTEX) -- A Palm Springs media company that specializes in programming for gays
and lesbians will launch a cable television network.

The Triangle Television Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Triangle
Multi-Media Limited, will begin broadcasting within 90 days, Chief Executive
Officer Frank Olsen said Feb. 4.

TTN, as the network will be known, will be available to about 10,000 cable
television companies throughout the United States and Puerto Rico for $2 a month
for each subscriber, Olsen said.

Time Warner Cable television has agreed to make the signal available to any of
its local system operators that want to broadcast it, Olsen said.

The fledgling network must persuade other cable carriers, large and small, to
pick up TTN's signal.

"We're going to throw sand up in the air and hope the wind catches it," said
Olsen, who has spent 40 years working in radio and television. "It's a slow
business and it can take a while for things to catch on, but we think this can
work. The cable networks can send the signal to whoever wants it without
offending anyone.

"I'll be happy if we get one subscriber," Olsen laughed.

Triangle Television will employ six people to start, and has spent about $6
million developing the network.

Triangle Television could spend another $2 million before it begins broadcasting
its signal by satellite.

Triangle Network will broadcast taped gay athletic contests and fashion shows,
among other programs.

The network will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but much of its
programming will be repeated several times, standard practice among most
specialized cable television networks.

Olsen declined to discuss advertising rates, but selling advertising on Triangle
Network could be difficult, he said.

"I worked for a black radio station during the 1960s, and a lot of companies
didn't want to buy [advertising] with us," he said. "This could be the same
thing. Advertisers don't want to pick up one gay person and lose two
Christians."

Triangle Multi-Media formerly owned and operated two radio stations in Seattle
that broadcast gay and lesbian programming.

After selling those stations three years ago, Triangle has concentrated on
developing its television venture.

The business was propped up by investors, but the going has been rough, Olsen
said. "We've made a lot of mistakes. We rented buildings that were too big and
we hired too many people.

"But we're going to get this done. I'm 100 percent sure we're going to get this
started."

Palm Springs, with a history of tolerance toward gays and lesbians, is a logical
place for a gay-oriented television network to operate, said Milton Jones,
publisher of Desert Publications Inc. and the Jones Agency, a public relations
firm.

BACK ON THEIR FIRST DATE, THEY RETURN BACK TO RENE ZELWIGER (<--- HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT) AND JERRY STAYS THE NIGHT. IN THE MORNING, RENE IS IN THE KITCHEN TALKING TO I BELIEVE HER AUNT, THE ONE WITH THE LONG BLONDE HAIR WHO YOU SEEN SMOKING THE JOINT BLOWING IT OUT THE KITCHEN WINDOW.

HER AUNT IS GIVING HER CRAP (BASHING) ABOUT JERRY AND RENEE FINALLY BREAKS DOWN AND BASICALLY TELLS HER "LOOK, WHILE GIRLS MY AGE ARE DATING MEN, I'M RAISING A MAN (REMEMBER SHE'S A SINGLE MOM WITH THAT BIG HEAD KID/GLASSES). ONCE I DID A BIT MORE INDEPTH RESEARCH, HELLO BECAME MORE CLEAR. FURTHER INTO RESEARCH, HELLO WAS YELLING AT ME FROM ACROSS THE STADIUM. JUST AS THE RESEARCH WE ALL HAVE CONTAINED HERE. JUST THESE 50+ PAGES AND TELL ME WHY NOT.

I personally have been keeping track of QBID since Feb 15 and all here have done a fine job of doing DD and posting for all to see.
