cabbage...

Maybe you should change your user name to "buffet." Would still keep you close to the "food" category and give one hand up in the "financial" world. Im sure you will enjoy your break from your bed. mach

2) I get to DD and come up with multiple opportunities to share with the board

This is my only passion in life, as unhealthy as that may be, all I want to do is trade.

Press Release -- DFC Intelligence
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DFC Intelligence Forecasts Strong Growth For Video Game Industry
By 2007 consumers will be playing on a new breed of game systems yet to be released

SAN DIEGO (Apr. 17, 2003) -- A new report from research firm DFC Intelligence forecasts that the worldwide market for video games, computer games and interactive entertainment hardware and software should grow from $20.7 billion in 2002 to as much as $30 billion by 2007.

Furthermore, the report states that by 2007 consumers will by and large be playing on a new breed of game systems that have yet to be released.

"We think that the successors to the Sony PlayStation 2, the Microsoft Xbox and the Nintendo GameCube are likely to be the fastest selling video game systems ever," said David Cole, president of DFC Intelligence.

Leading the market is Sony and its PlayStation brand. According to Cole, "the PlayStation 2 could eventually have sales of over 100 million hardware units, thus the PlayStation 3 has to be a favorite to continue Sony's market leadership position."

However, the report claims that it is inevitable that Microsoft and Nintendo will take market share away from Sony. "The PlayStation 2 has been completely dominant, but we expect as much as 50% of PlayStation 2 owners to eventually buy an Xbox or GameCube," said Cole.

The report contains three separate scenarios for future growth. Under all scenarios, the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 are the market share leaders, however Microsoft and Nintendo are significantly more competitive then they are in today's marketplace. "Nintendo is being very aggressive with hardware pricing, software bundling and is doing a better job with third-party relationships. This should really benefit them in the long-term," said Cole.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is expected to be extremely competitive on all fronts and has now become a battle-tested veteran. Cole noted that the Xbox was the first system from Microsoft, and it got off to a late start, nevertheless, the Xbox still has been quite competitive. The solid market performance of the Xbox significantly increases the market outlook for future game systems from Microsoft. According to Cole, "we think Microsoft and the Xbox could be potentially strong in Europe, a region that has been somewhat neglected by video game hardware manufacturers."

WESTON, FL, Dec. 19, 2003 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Watch Health Express USA Inc. (OTC BB: HEXS). HEXS is new to TheSUBWAY.com, and we expect great things from this company! Watch this stock, it could be a huge gainer in near-term trading as market participants take notice! Other stock market standouts include:

Point Group Holdings Inc. (OTC BB: PGHI): Market Perform, up 4% on 1 million shares,

ADC Telecommunications (NASDAQ: ADCT): Market Perform, down 2% on 11 million shares,

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC): Market Underperform, up 2% on 52 million shares,

"Interest rates are currently holding at 40-year lows, a level that has endured through several Federal Reserve policy-setting meetings. Many economists, though, see the Fed's shift in bias as a prelude to an eventual move up in short term rates, saying the central bank is beginning to set the table, or at least warm the oven for a hike, if one is necessitated by any economic red flags, such as signs of inflation," stated Peter Antipatis. More is available at: http://www.thesubway.com/sub_comm.asp.

Ok....another try at posting a chart! If this shows up, I think it points out that the stochastics have leveled (ready to turn?) and the MACD is leveling (also getting ready to turn?). Lower Bollie climbing back in and tightening the coil.

Well....stockcharts won't post here, but it looked like it would have worked! Anyway, the above is what I'm seeing on the 3 month chart. On the 10 day chart the MACD is positive and crossed the 0 line. Also pushing the upper Bollie in the 10 day chart.

ws, on your intraday chart on the ameritrade streamer console, if you move the cursor across the page you will see the data for given trades. this is realtime. i have always liked graphic interfaces. you can run multiple intraday windows. this is a very useful feature.

then i back that up and see detail with columnar data at free real time quotes using the time and sales feature.

It's not a game, boy, it's serious business, and Nintendo Co. knows it. One of the Big Three video game console makers, Nintendo makes the GameCube console, which battles with Microsoft's Xbox for second place in its industry (Sony 's PlayStation 2 is the world's top game system. In the handheld console segment, however, Nintendo's Game Boy system remains the leader. The newest model, Game Boy Advance, boasts a bigger screen, better speed, and enhanced graphics. By the end of 2002 more than 25 million Game Boy Advance units had been sold. Nintendo is also the game software market leader; hit series include Pokemon, Super Mario, and The Legend of Zelda.

Video Game Report Card.

Year after year, the electronic gaming industry sees dynamic changes and continued growth. This certainly held true in 2002. Industry analysts predict that worldwide sales this year could exceed $20 billion demonstrating that the industry is all but immune to the economic recession. On-line gaming continues to grow by 50 percent a year. On-line gaming parlors, popular in Korea and Japan, are beginning to appear in American cities. As game graphics and imagery get ever closer to motion picture quality, the games become more realistic, exciting, and attractive to young players. More children and youth are playing than ever before. Ninety-two percent of youngsters ages 2-17 now play video or computer games.

Maybe Magoo and his friends decided to "raise the bar" and catch the MM off guard. They all ran away from .03 like "little kiddies". As I've said many times... MM of course have the inside scoop on all the action... I believe the breakdown below .03 the past two days was orchestrated by MM's... and that "wallpaper" at .03 was just that... To a certain extent I feel sorry for the ones that sold in the .02's that will likely watch a strong upward move in the next few weeks... but I guess "that is how the bottle bounces." At least those on this particular board are "strong hands." mach

Thanks to all on this board

This one is old but is a good support of the actual trend of growth in the Video game industry in USA.

Video gaming is good for America
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
posted 11:47am EST Wed May 02 2001
NEWS
A new study shows that 70% of U.S. homes will have video game consoles by 2005 (close to the percentage of homes with VCRs), that 60% of Americans play computer/video games on a regular basis, that the gaming industry put 220,000 people to work last year, and that those jobs generated US$9 billion in wages and tax revenues. The report was commissioned by the Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA) and researched by Nathan Associates, which used publicly available sources ("primarily the economic censuses and annual surveys of the U.S. Department of Commerce") to make its conclusions.

Last year, gaming software sales (including computer games) hit $10.5 billion, showing an average 15% annual growth from 1997. For comparison, the report showed annual revenue growth rates of 1.6% for video tape rental and 4.6% for movie production/distribution. Gaming software's continued phenomenal growth is likely, with a new set of advanced video game consoles about to hit the market and the report's estimate that 55 million people will play games online by 2004, up from 39 million online gamers last year.

The gaming industry's growth in wages, tax revenues, and employment also crushed other major U.S. industries. Wages paid in the gaming industry grew at 17.4% annually from 1995 to 2000 and employment at 10.1%; movie production/distribution saw 9.2% wages growth and 5.2% employment growth. Gaming's figures also beat computer manufacturing, consumer electronics, and computer storage. To top it off, gaming software companies spend 14% of their revenue on R&D (Research & Development), while other entertainment industry concerns spend only 9-12%.

Let me tell you, I've been doing intense DD and the word is all over, Video game industry is in a SOLID uptrend growth and many analysts say that we will continue to see this for years, many talk about far beyond 2007. As computers and OS improve over time, games have more room where to play and MANY humans, (adults and children) are playing, and are PLAYING long hours, the growth in the sales numbers talk for themselves. In a few words, I think we are sitting in a rocket.!!!!.

For one of my business classes I did an industry report on the game console industry, much of the information presented is right on.

Some other general information:

Xbox next and PS3 are coming out in 2005

Nintendo is stealing huge market share with their price reduction to $99

Sony PS2 has close to 70% market share

as mach would say
*****THE FUTURE IS SO BRIGHT!*****

it really is, this is the best type of business to be in right now, especially during the holidays/winter where everyone has Xmas money and new consoles they got for Xmas, they're going to want GAMES!!!

PS- Mach what do you think about MM signals?

Looks like,
Besides us; studies, researchs, magazines, newspapers hype the industry (and indirectly this company)
I started to think this is the biggest P&D in the markets and considering to sell all my shares.. I am scared, they are playing with us like a video game..Am I gonna lose all my money, if it's a game?( I did my own DD, but couldn't find anything)
Help pls...
