Robin0, a business plan includes "potential customers". I used the term "potential audience". This is a network dedicated to an audience that has been waiting for it a very long time. The potential is there, and no amount of "crowing" from you changes anything. IP: Logged |

quote: It was never an weather related issue. Satellite C-band is very little, if not at all, effected by weather. A bid dish can send and receive through the biggest rain storm without loosing the picture. That's why most broadcasters use C-band. the rules change for the "little dish". Rain has a great effect on DirecTV and Dish Network since it is transmitted in Ku-band frequencies. You are right, he did not address RCN's audio problems. Why the audio cell on the satellite chart is blank is beyond my knowledge. Most of Lyngsats's information is compiled by volunteers who scan the sky's. Again, this press release is not truthful. Are all the others? IP: Logged |

The statement "was believed" is past tense--at a prior time. Is the signal sent from your location to Texas and on the SF? [This message has been edited by suzainiee (edited September 30, 2004).] IP: Logged |

quote: Yes it is! RCN could pick it up directly if they would have the right equipment. Both sides, RCN and NTI, are working to solve this problem. The question is, which audio format is more common with cable companies? I believe someone is surveying cable companies across the country to determine the most common systems they use. Someone has to make an adjustment. If Cox Cable, Comcast and/or Time Warner uses our system, RCN has to update. If it is the other way around, we will make changes. We are ready to transmit in either format. IP: Logged |

So that makes this problem fixable or a non issue. Am I correct in this assumption? IP: Logged |

MS, I understand your point.. but I think it raises the question of the UNDERSTANDING of the technicalities of the broadcasting industry on the part of the person that WRITES the press releases.

LOL! LOL! Scanned the last two pages and it looks like like everyone is out in full force. My eyes hit upon some interesting words like "masterbation," "champ," and the occasional "ding-ding" and I just had to chime in!! The lastest information out from Q looks interesting! Appears that Frank and his team are on the move and finding original material to air. I can swing with that. Ms_Gulfcoast...I tend to agree with you about the complete truthfulness about Frank's pr's...but the overall 'picture' is clear...Q Television is making progress. I can get happy about that! Yes, Betting Babe. The statement that cable carriers are all being asked this question implies a lot of confusion within the industry. Whoooooo.........thanks Ron. [This message has been edited by suzainiee (edited September 30, 2004).] IP: Logged |

I just got done reading the book, "Irational Exuberance" by Robert Shiller. It a good book about stock market bubbles and the psychology behind the market when it moves. I think the sections on market psychology are especially pertinent in regards to penny stocks. It a good read if you have the time. (Sorry for the off topic post) IP: Logged |

Would love to see Melissa Etheridge on QTN. We need that kind of press coverage...a g/l channel that attracts celebrities like her, Rosie, and others. Feeling good vibes tonight! Bet tomorrow we see the pps pop a bit, especially heading into a weekend. Monday could bring more news. IP: Logged |

I had a minimum two year time horizon on my core holding when I first bought in Feb. I'm resetting the clock as of today! Oct/Nov 2006 is the earliest I will sell any part of my core. MS, I'm not questioning your expertise. Some of the PR's have been a little bit on the clumsy side. You have been reading the board for sometime. How many time have you read discussions about, "Did Frank mean this or did he mean that?" Weeks later, someone would post, "Oh, that's what he meant." Some read the same PR as positive and others read the PR as negative. Paper talks--we just can't hear the intonations. IP: Logged |

Not so slow robin-O! HALF A TRILLION DOLLAR target, .05% of which is $250,000,000.oo! That's right! POINT ZERO FIVE PERCENT OF $500,000,000,000.oo = TWO HUNDRED FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS. If we generate that kind of business revenue on just a yearly basis this stock will be trading for a couple dollars a share if not more. This is just one reason why people can't find a Genuine Broadcasting National TV Network that trades for less than a dollar a share. I think you're faster than most & also think you have more shares than I do. Good luck to you cause as you've pointed out,,, "All we ever had to do is launch!" ------------------ IP: Logged |

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read this news article and know that this is good news. Progress is being made one negotiation at a time. So this has me wondering about Frank and why Q didn't put this news out...I'm thinking that he might combine this news with other news in a press release to show how QTN is accomplishing its goals. Just would LOVE to know WHEN we'll hear from Frankie...He can just whisper in my ear and tell me ALL the good stuff and I won't tell a soul...okay, I'd only tell you guys. IP: Logged |

flyman... http://chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=14097 Tracy Baim, Co-vice chair of Chicago Games Inc.’s board, says the dealis for a seven-figure cash consideration. It also includes an agreement to air shows promoting the games through their July 2006 launch. Ms. Baim says Q Television will broadcast the games to at least 150 U.S markets, and possibly overseas. The 2002 games, held in Sydney, Australia, were not broadcast outside of the Sydney metropolitan area. ...sounds like the q's got some money, ad spots promoting, 150 markets ??? overseas??? ...q sure is gettin' round, huh ...maybe frank's keeping things on the "q-t" ...good vibes sunny......... Gay Games VII and Q Television Network make a deal The Chicago-based organizers of Gay Games VII announced Thursday that they have signed a letter of intent to provide television and radio broadcast rights for the event to the California-based Q Television Network. The broad terms of the cash-and-barter deal include broadcast rights, joint development of Gay Games-related programming, broadcast airtime for advance Gay Games advertising, and live and taped coverage of Gay Games VII events. (Gay Games VII is scheduled to take place July 15-22, 2006.) Subscriber-based Q Television would unscramble its signal during live Gay Games coverage, giving basic-cable viewers an opportunity to view the programs. "It has been my dream to get television created specifically for the LGBT audience on the air," said Frank Olsen, Q Television president and CEO, in a statement. "With the Gay Games as our landmark network event, we will begin immediately to present the stories of the men and women worldwide that participate in the Games, and build anticipation and excitement until the opening ceremonies."
