Good morning Qbiddians, I get to watch today. Doesn't seem so good so far. Right now my confidence is starting to turn into hope and pray, but I won't sell. I'll just impatiently hold. C'mon Frank, throw us a bone here.

No leaks is also bad for avg daily volume. We might see a huge drop-off in holders of QBID as this tightens. It might even get down to as low as 50 million per day, which would be sweet, because it would basically stagnate, we'd see some real calm, and we'd be able to tell when Frank was buying back shares or diluting, and more importantly, we'd know which was which.
g-invest Good point.

No PR's means a lower PPS for Frank to buy back shares at. Maybe this is what is going on and we just need to be patient. Or am I being over simplistic?

HILANDER You might be right, and I like your thought process.
In my opinion, you are NOT being over simplistic. You just see the glass half full instead of half empty, and in the absence of facts proving otherwise, you choose to see a positive possibility instead of a negative possibility.
I often describe myself as "simple-minded" (my friends love to pick on that term) because I usually see things pretty much as black and white. Shades of gray cause me great confusion. If I believe in something, I believe all the way . . . until proven wrong. Then I go the other way just as firmly. I don't see a problem with changing my mind based on solid fact. I have a real problem with changing my mind based on rumor, innuendo or simply "lack of news".
My initial DD on QBID told me to buy shares. Subsequent DD on QBID continues to tell me to buy shares. None of my DD has told me to sell shares (except on temporary spikes to get money to buy more on dips). If my DD on QBID ever tells me to sell, I will. Until then, I ain't going anywhere.
Now for a quiz: Am I "simple-minded" or am I just "thinking simply"? Duh . . . I don't really know.

Well, I was just thinking (which, yes that can be dangerous, I know) that if I was Frank that is what I would do. I am going to buy 3% of blank shares I would do it as cheaply as possible. One way to accomplish that is to be mum.

HILANDER Again, my simple mind agrees.

The reason I think he isn't doing that is because I think the buyback is done. The low volumes suggest that. Just a guess though..you might be right Hilander.

I actually agree with maestro, the volume is too low for a buy back of that many shares. Then again maybe they are just wrapping it up? Your guess is as good as mine at this point

Yeah, didn't think of that Maestro. I don't get to watch this everyday. When I get home I just worry about the PPS and half the time forget about volume. I'm kicking myself right now. I raided the "go to Alaska to go fishing with my buddy fund" to buy SFTV and decided to wait. I could have been in below .005.

My little window on the Q investing universe.
How do we make money? We try to buy low and sell high. That is always easier said then done. Some who post here have contributed a lot of DD. Others have contributed what they can, while still others watch, learn and support. This thread is a communal effort to a common goal – successful investing. Each stock has a life of its own. We investors have only two primary points to consider: The price we buy and the price we sell. Ultimately what goes on in-between is irrelevant. This irrelevancy can be very stressful at times. We are in one of those times. This is the way I’m looking at QBID: 1.) How far has Q gone in the last 6 months? A very long way. 2.) As of a few months ago we had 15k subs. With all the advertising in the past few months, probably at least twice or multiples of that now. (Even in only 3 markets). 3.) Huge name branding in the past month. SFO could provide 100k subs over the next few months. 4.) Two buybacks one after the other. Q is investing in its own stock. A measure of a healthy company. 5.) I’ve been to PSP and met with Rene. I’ve been to Gay Days Orlando. My brother was at The Abby in L.A. I’ve followed as close as I can all the events in June. The six-city broadcast this weekend will be very big in the community and the broadcast industry (We are being monitored.) 6.) Q has a plan and we are watching it unfold. It is a continuing process. It’s like a good game of chess and poker. Great strategy and the ability to keep quiet at times and play your hand. You can’t bitch about a move because that move may have been for someone else. Why complain about your cards if you’re trying to bluff somebody? 7.) If you owned a company would you drive your pps up while you were buying it back? Truth now! You would buy low. 8.) If I were doing a buyback, I would play my cards close to my vest. I would not give any more info. than I only really had to. Gosh, that seems familiar. 9.) What is the size of the marketplace? Well over $600 Billion. Is there room for three competitors? Yes. 10) Is the company growing? Yes, 73 employees and on the search for more. 11) What kind of negative news? None.
I could go on and on, but for me, I see no ***********s. Sure I want to see some national carriage, but that will come. The market can absorb 3 networks especially 3 so different. Quote from someone “We define our own success through what we accept as ‘possible’”.
From my view, when the buyback is completed the audit will be published. We will know the O/S. We will then be a fully reporting company. At this time we will go directly to another exchange. Logo will have taken whatever “hits” for being a gay public channel. There will be a domino effect.
Competition is healthy and Q will provide healthy competition. Viacom’s competitors know this and would not abrogate the gay market place to Viacom.

the pr firm and the investmetn relations firm are 2 different things. the pr firm is just a company that places the info on the wire at the appropriate time. Investmetn relations is the company that is hires to field calls and e-mails and sorts throw ti find out what the issues are to the investors and relays the to the company, and to take the information from the company and answer investors questions to the best of thier ability according to the knowledge they have on the company.
so untill that company stops being the IR company lets continue to use them.

Also, I like the emailing idea, and I will partake in it with everyone, BUT...
Due to the fact that one of the last 2 PRs came from a different PR firm (yes that PR WAS real, seach businesswire.com for "q television," not qbid), should we be sending a copy of our email in that direction also? Just a thought.
Regardless of all the panic, I'm holding my 3+ mil and will try and pick up more @ .0016 today (I'm so cheap).

Jennifer Let me be the first to say . . . WILL YOU MARRY ME? If my wife agrees, of course.
You just posted the most thoughtful (and thought-provoking) summary of our current situation regarding QBID that I have ever read (and that is saying a lot because others also have added excellent positive comments over the last few months).
Very well done. I am saving your comments to carry me through any future low points, although I really don't expect any significant lows.

if he doesnt respond to them then, we have a case to take to Q and ask why we are not gettine answers or replies from the IR department. then we could go a step further after that. we keep taking steps till we get the answers.
we not going to take it any more.

Hah. I've been emailing to ask for the O/S at least once a month from Richard Brown. He just flat out does not respond.

Jen...I agree, excellent post. The only thing I would respond to is the item about no negative news. Strictly speaking there isn't, but I noticed a tinge of "Q is in the background" from some of those stories posted this morning. Sounds like LOGO and HERE! are getting the nod in a way that Q isn't.

moose Thanks for the link. Very good info. Now for some unpaid and unrequested commentary:
Although the story is all about LOGO and is very positively written, I think this actually is positive for QBID and Here! also.
Sure, I wish this story had been about Q's launch instead of LOGO, but since it wasn't, I will take the next best scenario. Rather than give my rambling opinion on WHY I think this is positive, just go back a few posts and read what Jennifercd10 said (it starts "My little window on the Q investing universe.") She said it all in that post, and I think this LOGO story supports what she said.

I think any carrier that carries LOGO, should give there customers options on which gay channel that they want to watch. Or all three if they prefer. I don't have any problem with that.
