I thought Penny-Traders post from last night (and my original posts regarding afterhours) cleared up the fact that the after hours activity was not buyback....

A link to where they are being "sold through the games" would be great.

Richard,
thank you for the response....
However, QTV is claiming multiple orders for the DVD's however, where are they being sold?
When can we expect a decent PR with real info?
Jeff

your the type of person that builds the house, and wants it done in a day and a half.
you cant poor the foundation in the mornign and expect the framerwork to go us that afternoon.
you have to build the foundation block buy block. let the concrete set.
if you dont have a good foundations then there is no sence in building the structure as it will fall down the first time it expperiences any harsh weather.
Todays PR is being concidered as fluff by most basher minded people. I look at this as yet another form of revenue. there is a lot of money in selling DVD's. the cost to manufacture them is small and the proffits are large. we have this DVD anounced today and the movies that we bought exclusive rights to.
many companies make thier proffits from reissuing these old movies. I for instance just bought 15 old movies on DVD as a gift for my father for fathers day.
no this was not a ground breaking PR but it was definately another piece of the puzzle.
think about it you have bashers coming in here asking where the money is coming from for buybacks. now you have yet another source of revenue.
we have revenue coming in from the following areas
estimateded 15,000-20,000 subscriptions. 60 - 75 thousand a month
income from advertisers lets guess $100,000 a month on the conservative side.
income from a turn key studio deal
income from euro DVD deal
income from movie library we now own.
income from infomercial deal that was pred months ago that most have probably forgotten about
and im sure im missing other incomes that have been pred.
this is just what we know about so far.
so was todays pr really fluff? or was it yet another piece of the puzzle.
I know what my answer to this is.

Im sorry i cant speak for my friend. as far as this goes, i cant say i blame you for wanting to hear it first hand.
all i can say is this friend of mine has kept me very well informed in the past and has a great rapore with Richard.
I knew when i posted this that someone would call me on this.
Im not asking anyone to believe me, I posted this for those that know me and what im about. I don't expect anyone to buy or sell on this info, im only sharing info that was shares with me.
I know that Skunks yard on IHUB did verify some of the comments made in that message, which solidified a lot more my feelings about this information.
you can not take anyones word for anything on a message board as you really do not know whe they are. the only way to verify this is to call Richard yourself and ask the same questions.
then you can post your results and someone else can doubt your words.
respectfully yours
Rod

This is the best news I have ever heard from anyone. I wish it wasn't just "a friend" though. PT, will your friend make an account on here and tell us when he made the call and such? I'd really like to hear it from him. I know you as an upstanding person on allstocks and generally enjoy the wealth of knowledge you bring here, but I'd like to know more about when the call was made and maybe ask a few other questions in PM.
Richard won't talk to me, I think it's probably because my first question was how many outstanding shares there were.
I had a feeling the Oxygen thing was a misreport. Q goes through zephyr media group for their advertising and they signed a deal with one of the carriers to carry the advertising in several of the large cities where pride events are going on. They probably picked Oxygen for the ads and then Oxygen got upset that their name was used in a PR because they didn't want to take a backlash.
I wish there were some companies that were proud of running ads for Q Television, but until LOGO comes out, I think everyone's a little scared to do it.
The part about POD being "small potatoes" sound pretty authentic and accurate as well. After all, if Time-Warner is ready for a second go at running QBID, who gives a crap about a flaky Internet company like POD?

I feel every weeek its the same debates and arguements just being rehashed. Thos of us long and hangig in there arent going anywhere. I told a true diehard skeptic today (HATES PINKS, WONT TOUCH THEM - but investsts heavily, actually owns some Viacom, go figure)) what I knew and didnt know and what I held (~1.75 mill about). His only commment, was "hmmmm dont let that go just yet".

IMO, I think it established that the vast majority of the afterhours trading that we saw over that last few weeks wasn't the April announced buyback. That is not to say that the 'couple hundred thousand dollars worth of stock' buyback that Penny's post referred to did not also occur as afterhours trades... it very well could have. Do you think it's safe to say that buybacks and dilutions are not the only types of trading that occur afterhours? I'm just learning here.

Though Q was not mentioned (only Logo and Here), I still found it encouraging that the phenomenon of the gay cable channel is gaining awareness if not acceptance. I mean this was in the Wall St. Journal not some webzine!

Ligge, I tried smoking when I was fresh out of college working as an adjustor for an insurance company. I almost set a record for insurance commissioner complaints....was ordered to start smoking by my boss. I wish I was half as strong as you and the others that have quit. I can't do it, I'll end up in prison. To quote a guy I worked with when I was younger.."man it was easier quittin' heroin." My hats off to you Ligge

The smoking thing doesn't get better. I had quit for over a year and the cravings still had not gone away. Back to smoking for another 8 years or so. Now I quit in March of this year. The quitting is easier this time around, but the cravings are still there. Thw weight gain wasn't bad, only about 7 pounds or so.

I'm I the only one who thinks that the the DVD is being sold on site, in the Netherlands, to the participants of the games??
Wouldn't they be the biggest consumers for this product, since they are there and actively taking part in the festivities. I picture all participants receiving some sort of "Welcome Packet" when they show up. I feel that these packets probably have some sort of flyer promoting the DVD along with an order form. I think this may be some of the "demand" that they are speaking of as a large number of participants are already on site.
Soes this make sense to anyone else???

People want to watch stuff thats different. (PEOPLE) not just gays and lesbians.. But you cant get Joe down the street to order gay and lesbian QTV , to see if he likes it.. Mr Olsen, sell your original programing to LOGO .. and or,,, make it a free chanell,, so people can see it.

dj that sounds like a strong likelyhood. And like PT said it's another income source and piece in the puzzle.

I still get cravings. i actually picked up smoking for a bit again 2 years ago. but i quite again. i am fortunate enough to be able to pick it up and stop at any time. Im presently not smoking.
It a matter of mind over matter. I am stuborn enough to stick to my resulve when i want to.
but for 16 years i never touched a cigarrette and still had cravings for one.

im thinking that that may be the largest market. participants, family and close friends.
i know that i have never been interested in having anythign form the olympic on tape or DVD except for the 1984 olympics when a good friend of mine was there representing Canada in Sailing.
other then that never had the desire for watching it taped.
