That fine penny. That pisses me off with Scottrade though. I have to watch stocks twice as much as you do because I can't place an order to sell that high with Scottrade. How much are trades through TD Waterhouse anyway? Commissions? etc...

thanks

Thanks BB. If that's true that's good news. I just looked up the mag and found this...

"Founded in 1997, Instinct Magazine grew its rate-base 36 percent during 2004 from 55,000 to 75,000 in paid circulation, making it the largest American magazine targeted primarily for a gay male readership according to BPA Worldwide, a media auditing company. Instinct continues to experience extremely strong growth. Instinct began 2005 with a guaranteed rate base of 75,000. However, Instinct's BPA audit ending June 30, 2005 will reveal an average paid circulation of approximately 85,000 or 13.3 percent above the magazine's guaranteed rate base."

There is a very interesting article in the current paper issue (June 30-July 14, 2005) of Rolling Stone. It does not seem to be available online, so I can't post a link. It is on page 53, if anyone else subscribes.

It's about LOGO and I will provide a few of what I consider to be the most interesting passages. QTV is not mentioned at all. At least not directly. [Wink]

Quote

When MTV announced its plans for Logo in 2002, the timing seemed right with Will & Grace and Queer as Folk bona fide hits. MTV execs, who were teaming with Showtime in the venture, predicted the channel would have the same "ground-breaking impact" as Fox, the WB or BET. The launch was set for early 2003, but when the Showtime deal fizzled, it was pushed back to February 2005, with a slew of original programming and celeb-driven shows featuring Cher, (Alan) Cumming and comedian Margaret Cho. Now, with June 30th around the corner, all these projects remain in development, and the only "celeb" is Kids in the Hall veteran Scott Thompson.

"They came to me and asked what I wanted to do," says Rosie O'Donnell, "and I said a kids' cabaret show with me as MC. But they don't know their budget. Logo's had a long time to market this, and there aren't many gays more famous than me, and I've got no show. It's sad."

To fill in the programming gaps, Logo is relying on a mix of reality shows, documentaries and movie titles, though deciding which material is "gay enough" has been a struggle. "The Birdcage was a no-brainer," says Brian Graden, Logo's President and the director of creative programming for MTV and VH1. "Moulin Rouge is more 'nudge-nudge, wink-wink' kind of gay. And for some reason people keep asking me about Golden Girls."

End Quote

Anyway, the whole article is excellent. I don't scan, sorry.

I typed all of the above as a courtesy. Please don't slam for not posting a link. RS is a PAID subsciption and most of their articles are not on the net.

Not that I'm in any way hopeful, but a merger of Logo and Q would be quite synergistic. They have channels and no content. We have great content and no channels.

Thanks Black Widow i appreciate the time you took there to type that.

and i agree, i have not ruled out the option of Logo buying out Q. Frank has dealt with Viacom in the past and i believe it is not to much of a stretch to believe that they would deal again.

You said it. they have the channels and not content and we have the content and not channel.

kinda fits together like peanut butter and chocolate, don't ya think

hey you got Q in my Logo, no you got Logo in my Q

hey they taste great together.

The new Q Logo available everywhere by Viacom.

OK that is really aging me now lol

Q Television Receives over 150,000 Requests from Subscribers; Q Television's East Coast Gay Pride Tour is a Huge Success

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 2005--Q TELEVISION NETWORK (OTCBB Other: QBID), the television network for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community, announced today that they have received over 150,000 separate requests from potential subscribers during the east coast pride festivals.

"These individual documented requests have come from people attending the gay pride festivals in Boston, Atlanta and Orlando," said Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. "The carriers in these areas have been inundated with requests demanding that Q Television be shown in their area. We are in contact with the carriers and they are very excited about the programming. We know June will be an explosive month for us, and we are confident that Q Television will have similar success as we head to the west coast this week."

About Q Television Network: This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Q Television Network is the Network for the Gay Games VII. All I know is that it is almost the end of June and there is still no word of us being available in 16 million homes. I'm still holding but dang, can we get some kinda news in regards to that. Don't make that statement then show no action behind it when the deadline is almost here. If we don't get word on these 16 million available viewers, then we really need to start taken into consideration Franks creditability foreal. I've been patient but this is getting stupid folks, I'm sorry.

16 million homes is the POD deal. that is dead according to Richard Brown at IR.

kist that one goodbye. It didnt hurt my feelings anyway I never thought that was a good idea.

what i would like to see is how we are going to be in 34 million homes, like Frank stated we would be in by the end of this month. he stated that in the last interview we seen a couple weeks ago.

that is the rabbit i would like to see him pull out of his hat right now.

Your right, and if he doesn't pull that rabbit out his hat, then we might have some problems. I was always taught to be a man of your word and if your a man, and a CEO of a company, and your word isn't your bond, then how can you gain any respect from any other cable company, any investor or any potential subscribers. Frank it's time for you to be a man of your word and pull this rabbit out your hat, seriously.

I agree qnigue! I am a long but am not happy to say the least. I emailed Richard and told him we are bleeding! I mentioned we need to know as investors, what is going on with Q. Not events such as parades but such as sub numbers, carriers, audit and you all know! I only got an email back saying he didn't see a question in my email and was too busy and could only answer questions! I guess I should have "asked" for a PR or IR!

Subject: And We Sink Further

Richard: As you can see we sink even further with a PPS of 0.0017. Last week I sent you an e-mail in which I indicated that we would see 0.0010 this week, well we are not far from it. Does Frank have any “BIG MEATY PR’s” planned to help with the PPS or is going to let it continue to drop like a big rock.

This is not looking good if you are an investor of this stock, loosing money each and every day. Although, there are lost of PR’s there is nothing that has been released to turn the negative PPS to a positive trend. We need to know about carriers, buybacks, audits, O/S, move from the pinks, we need to restore investor confidence.

These are the comments and feelings that are coming from the chat forums. Richard, is there a big PR coming soon and by soon I mean within the next few days to save our investment?

Wayne ********

So does his comment "I cannot comment on furure news" mean that he knows the answers to these things? By all means send him plenty of e-mails maybe he will get the point and give us the answers [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I agree Doc, we need to force the answers if they aren't just going to tell us. I feel they are holding on us. Maybe after he is swamped with investors concerns he might meet with Frank and Co. and decide sooner and how much to release. We need something more than what we are getting. NUMBERS!
