Someone had a great idea of helping Q. Then many others pitched in with their wonderful thoughts. We are investors who want to do our part. All ideas should be explored. Between the various Q boards, a sizeable number of dedicated warriors (Qarriers!) are willing to help. Some have started, on their own, to get the word out. Their actions are commendable. We are the “grass roots” and that is where our strength lies. Another positive for us is our diverse geography. Being scattered would seem, to some, a negative; but I see it as a strength.

Like others, I’ve been pondering what we could do by utilizing our assets.
1. We know far more about Q and the gay media industry than most.
2. We are our own support group. We have shown each other that we are capable of working together and sharing to get the job done.
3. We are a very creative group.
4. The straight members are at ease with the gay members and don’t seem to carry that “Homophobia” non-sense with them.
5. We know our fortune is tied with the success of Q.
6. We are willing.

I want to say that I’m very proud to be a member of this board. It is you who make me proud. I wish to make my little contribution to the thought process of how to help Q. This is what I came up with:

How many gay oriented/friendly establishments (clubs, bars, retail, restaurants, etc.) are there in the US? My guess is that it’s in the tens of thousands. That is where I propose to go. If each, on an average, signs up 15 prospective subscribers we could give Frank possibly a million potential new subs.

How do we do it?
We need to work with Frank. Q’s web site has a sign-up page with a drawing for a trip to The Gay Games. We expand on this. If Frank offers a trip for six, we could get a beer company involved (I’ll tell you why 6 later). Q prints an advertising package for these various establishments to promote Q and The Gay Games. Included would be how to get to the Q web site and how to register for the drawing by requesting Q on their local cable carrier. You, me or anyone can request the packets and distribute them to our local gay establishments; from gay bars to gay friendly dry cleaners these packets would advertise Q and the drawing. The straight investors and supporters would have no problem distributing and setting up gay supportive establishments alongside the gay investors.

The web site would have a space to fill in for the establishment who would also win six tickets. The person bringing the packet to the establishment and getting them to display it would win six tickets. Motivation is the name of the game here. People are motivated to canvas their community to place Q’s posters. The establishments are motivated to display and encourage their clientele to request Q service on their cable carrier thru Q’s web site and the clientele are motivated to act and tell their friends. The prize for each tier is large enough that everyone in each tier would be aggressively promoting Q. As people learn about Q and register they are motivated to get packages and distribute them to their frequented establishments. QTN is thus spread far and wide.

We (with Q’s assistance) could approach a beer company to help sponsor the drawing and distribution. Their logo would be on the posters too. We could call this something like “take 3 SIX packs to the Gay Games” in reference to a six-pack of beer. Who ever wins is probably a local customer of the establishment and the packet poster person is a local too! What a party this could make for the winning establishment. Everyone knows everyone. It would be worth a Q On The Move segment to deliver the winning notifications!

Could we get Orbitz, American West, The Hilton Hotel Chicago, a beer company and The Gay Games to help sponsor? (More poster logos.) We need QTN to set it up and WE would do the legwork to bring in every gay establishment in the country. Just think of the name recognition!

“Brought to you by the investors of QTN in conjunction with Orbitz, America West Airlines, Coors (?) Beer, Hilton Hotels (?), The Gay Games 2006 and QTN.”

“We investors in QTN (stock symbol QBID) are investing in the gay community and the ONLY gay television network that the public, and you, can be part of.” This subtly gets those new to Q the concept of investing in their community and QBID.

Q is our community and our community is Q.

I have received a few PM's to evaluate QBID:

I just bought 1 million more at .0018! to bring my total to 3.5 million... I was at 5 million, but I sold some to buy more PLNI!

The chart is actually starting to improve significantly:

http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=QBID,uu[w,a]daclyyay[db][pd20,2!h.02,.20!f][vc60][iLh14,3!La12,26,9]&pref=G

First, what I like is this...
1) The MACD has crossed over and is diverging positive
2) The stochs are pointing north
3) The CMF is green and has been for quite a while now!
4) The bolli bands are getting pretty tight and there is tremendous support now at the 17-18 level!

The charts that are neutral are:
1) The RSI is holding steady at 43
2) The williams%R is at

There are no real negatives about the chart except that we have declined from .02+ to .0017 in the last year!

But, it is time for Q to run again, so I will be adding as I exit some other positions!

yes keving i should have been more patient but then again i look at it this way .im not selling into any small runs and the difference in cost was fifty bucks which to anyone is a fairly substantial amount but to me i just want my shares asap.i think that one day this stock is going to run big and i feel that i am blessed to have found this and that i have been fairly prosperous in my business that has given me the oppurtunity to accumulate this many shares.i remember when i first became a real qbidian, i was terrified that this stock would run and i would only have 1 million shares or close to that ammount.i used to sorta pray that it would stay low or go down so that i could get more shares.my prayers have been answered so far.i am going for ten million shares by the end of august.i dont know if ill make that much $$$ to put into this but i try to buy about 500k to 1 million every two weeks or so.lately things have been really good $$$ wise so i have been buying up a storm.time will tell whether we are all total fools or we were in the right place at the right time with the right amount of money invested.best of luck to you and all other qbidians.i love qtv and i think that we will all have quite the laugh one day at how we became rich with a micro penny stock catering the the GLBT COMMUNITY. hope you are all feeling well. and jen im getting a little impatient for my cheesecake heheheh .love to all of you keep the faith and buy on the dips if you can.

very nice of you to analyze the charts for those of us that are not chartist or know technical analysis.i sorta think that we are forming a giant bowl that will gradually go up and possibly hit .003 this month.provided no news that is.if we get news the sky is the limit.the only thing that i possibly see as a negative for some is the ol shake the week hands that the market makers love to do.so we could actually have a day in the next few days were we see the stock touch .0016 or lower pulling out all the weak hands out.for me i will buy more if this happens but many will jump ship screaming we are heading down to .0001 again.its going to be an interesting next two quarters.we may all be wealthy come christmas or sooner.

2 mil @ .0017. Gotta love that. I love what I'm seeing on those charts, FOT. BBs are tightening more and more each day now, and I agree with most that we will see a run this week. Don't know about hitting .0016, but I hope we tap it quickly just for you Jennifer. Good luck to all.

And Rich, you are missing a great Risk Metrics update today! From 467 to 459 now.

Logo Off to Fast Start With Subs, Sponsors

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Linda Moss 7/4/2005In this story:
LAST-DAY DEALS
NOT 'INDOCTRINATING'
AD ROSTER SWELLS
BASIC STANDARDS

Logo, the new gay-targeted network, overachieved at birth last week.

The new basic-cable channel launched last week in 13 million homes, with commitments taking it to nearly 18 million homes. That's 8 million more than the 10 million Logo promised to have at launch and includes a July 1 deal with top U.S. MSO Comcast Corp.

It also lined up a solid roster of charter sponsors, led by Miller Brewing Co.'s Miller Lite and Motorola Inc.

“We exceeded our expectations on both distribution and advertising, and it's just going to be great television,” Logo general manager Lisa Sherman said.

Logo isn't the only gay-aimed cable TV service racking up initial successes. Here!, already available in 44 million homes, and Q Television Network, both pay services, reportedly are putting the finishing touches on new distribution deals with MSOs.

MTV Networks tied up several crucial last-minute carriage agreements for Logo, which went on the air last Thursday at 9 p.m. with a serious table-setter, The Evolution Will Be Televised, a traditional-style documentary tracking the emergence of the gay community over the past few decades, through landmark events like 1969's Stonewall riots in Greenwich Village and through pop-culture breakthroughs like Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Showtime's Queer as Folk and The L Word.

Logo debuted Thursday night in 13 million homes. The new network was also being carried on Comcast's urban San Francisco system — a key market — on Thursday evening, even though the MSO didn't formally announce that it had a Logo carriage deal until Friday.

Comcast will add Logo to its Digital Plus package in select markets during the next 90 days — and also get 10 hours of Logo fare to offer to digital customers on-demand.

LAST-DAY DEALS
A day before its launch, Logo wrapped up carriage deals with DirecTV Inc. and Charter Communications Inc.

“DirecTV gives us the national footprint that we were hoping to have,” Sherman said.

Logo also has affiliation agreements with Cablevision Systems Corp., Time Warner Cable in New York City, Adelphia Communications Corp., RCN Corp. and Atlantic Broadband.

Negotiations continue with other carriers, including Cox Communications Inc.

While there's been an uptick of cable offerings for the gay and transgender community, Logo is the first to be backed by a major media company — powerful Viacom Inc. — and the first offered as a basic service.

That positioning could prove problematic, making Logo vulnerable to a potential backlash.

Logo officials are downplaying that prospect, but several conservative watchdog groups, such as the Traditional Values Coalition and Concerned Women for America, are already voicing concerns about Logo — and threatening action.

“This [Logo] appears to be an effort to indoctrinate our children,” said Janice Crouse, senior fellow for the Concerned Women's think tank, the Beverly LaHaye Institute. “We have not determined exactly what our response is going to be at this point, but we very definitely will be doing something.

“We have grassroots organizations in 20 different states and we have prayer chapters in even more states. So we can mobilize people very quickly and very effectively.”

NOT 'INDOCTRINATING'
Logo officials said the network's not interested in indoctrinating America's youth. “Logo is an entertainment channel programmed specifically for and about gay Americans 25 and above,” a network spokesman said.

Elsewhere, the Traditional Values Coalition, a lobbying organization with 43,000 member churches, is urging members to write their cable operators if they start carrying Logo, according to the group's executive director, Andrea Lafferty.

“A big problem with this is — there are many problems — one being that it's not a pay-per-view kind of thing,” she said. “On basic it comes right into the home. … People don't want this kind of stuff in their home.”

Coming from another perspective, QTN CEO Frank Olsen voiced his own concerns.

“I don't say we have to hide in the closet,” Olsen said. But he believes basic cable should be “generic,” and that Logo risks offense by coming into a home uninvited.

“Here's what I'm afraid of — that Logo will stir up the pot. I think we should have a gay tier. That way, if someone subscribes, they know what they're getting.”

Having already signed up a solid roster of distributors, Logo won't be deterred by such worries.

“We cannot allow that to be a problem for us,” Sherman said. “Our mission is really to serve this audience, and that's what we're really focused on. To the extent we get bogged down in any of that, it's just going to take us off our game.”

AD ROSTER SWELLS
Last week, Logo updated its advertiser roster with not only Miller Lite and Motorola but also Tylenol PM, Lions Gate Films, Key West - The Fabulous Gay & Lesbian Destination, and Logo's sister service, Showtime Networks Inc.

“It's just a testament to how they view this channel and this audience,” Sherman said.

Officials with Here! and QTN said they deliberately avoided Logo's ad-supported route. Here! is available as a premium, on demand or via PPV, while QTN is a premium network.

QTN — a self-described gay sports, information and entertainment network — wants “to be invited into homes,” according to Olsen.

Paul Colichman, Here!'s founder and CEO, felt he'd have to make too many compromises to satisfy advertisers if his service, which offers a wide array of original programming and theatricals, was on basic.

“It was incompatible with getting a lot of carriage, which is what I wanted,” he said. “And the basic-cable model was one that was difficult for me creatively, because of what advertisers would let me do, and difficult for me on a business level, because cable operators and satellite providers were uninterested in basic channels in general, and specifically uninterested in basic channels that might alienate a significant percent of their subscribers.”

Here! is carried by DirecTV, EchoStar Communications Corp.'s Dish Network, Comcast, Charter, Cox, Time Warner, Cablevision and RCN.

QTN is now only carried by RCN, but Olsen said it is close to finalizing agreements with two MSOs that would make it available to 25 million homes.

BASIC STANDARDS
Officials stressed that Logo will program within the normal standards of basic cable, with acquisitions that include HBO's Angels in America and a library of 200 films.

“Our mission is to be a general-entertainment channel that represents the diversity of the LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] audience, and that the programming be authentic and real,” Sherman said. “I like to say we will focus on gay people as subject and not object. And we put them in the center of our stories.”

But groups like the Traditional Values Coalition object to any depiction of homosexuality as a “legitimate” lifestyle.

One of Logo's original series is Noah's Arc, about a group of gay men in Los Angeles.

“You know what?” Lafferty said. “There were no gays on the ark. Homosexuals cannot multiply. God brought in animals and humans two-by-two so they could multiply. So there were no homosexuals on the ark.”

How about some news about the last buyback?

Or how about the one before that?

Maybe an update on the audit?

What about closing on the facilities?

Subscriber numbers?

I really don't care, tell me about how many doughnuts Q ate while they were on the road.

Anything!!!!
