While I’m wallowing in my sarcasm for cathartic purpose, I do agree with your “hunch”.
I don’t see anyway out of this other than a merger. It’s the quickest way out of the SEC mess; shed the dead weight and the business model emerges refreshed and focused. I would be surprised if they don’t do this quickly.
My sources OUTSIDE of the company agree.

TM, it would only make real sense, cshd has become too negative IMO, I am not so sure it will ever trade right again. the assets, bonds, jv's, customers, I am sure want to get down to business, cshd is in hot water, to move the assets, the shareholders go with it, cshd owns 50% of the bonds and 40% of the operating business, if this company is disolved, 50% of the bonds would be delivered to the shareholders for liquidation, thats how I see it, and if something like this came up in a vote I would definatly vote for a merger, but right now it's only speculation. in my opinion.

At least we won't be in any trouble for filing late. If through the "investigation" we are taking a second look at what we release, that is a good thing. Far better to be late with no requirement than on time with statements on the fringe. JMHO Rufie (the CEO not the date rape drug) has stated numerous times about his desire to merge and uplist.
I have 1000 shares. I am not banking on this for my future...only beer money invested, but I read this sh!t everyday and am emotionally invested in it. My 1000 shares are worth what 200 bucks? When I moved my money to my brokerage account, I equated it to a cruise I would forego...or one that would be free.
This is however the most babysat and nauseating 200 bucks ever. One Sunday morning I crapped about 200 bucks worth of sushi and saki and felt pretty good about it. I'd like to turn my sushi crap into at least a couple of years at a state school for my three mini me's.

Think about all that we have been through to this point. How may people have said that they have never seen anything like this before, that they have never been involved in anything so strange, frustrating and, yes, unpredictable. Isn't this what we were promised? Wasn't part of the play always something that no one had ever seen before?
Those looking for a quick buck are along for the ride; those that came into this with eyes wide open knew it was going to be an uphill fight. Some of the bumps were unplanned and many more were meant to be kept secret until the timing was right. As long as we are all here, forget what you think you know and open yourself to the possibility that you have nothing in your past on which to judge what could be happening behind the scenes.
There has been a lot of negative of late, mostly due to lack of information - the same lack of information it would take to organize an effective assault on the market forces that could work against CSHD and its goals. But I remember a time when the sky was the limit. Just because the scales have tipped does not mean all of the positives have suddenly vaporized. Just because the majority of people posting on these boards can only relish in the thought of other's failures does not mean they bear any influence on the events to come.
I choose, based on my own research and business decision, to refrain from judgement against this company until the cards are all on the table.

For the record, I'm not selling the shares I own for a loss. Period. They will either pay for themselves (and maybe a new car) or they can sit in my account to remind me of a story to tell my grandkids.

I am keeping mine too, if we see a dime tomorrow, I will buy 10,000 more shares, that should be enough to wallpaper my office if I need to, otherwise...GO CSHD.

Yes- I have only cshd in this etrade account- I have 10k shares and it was sitting at value 2k (.19 cents or whatever closed) and now the "net assest" value on the front page shows over 20k.

The portfolio shows the same as usual- but the net asset on the welcome page which fluctuates all day during trading (before the portfolio prices are tracked) is showing the increase value.
I verified with another etrade user just now its showing a net asset value for the stock at 2.20pps. WTF is going on?
I took a screen shot to save once I find more to verify!

Great post and I do agree with you. I think what you’ve witnessed the past few days is a reflection of shareholder’s concern and confusion. I too stand behind my DD and will go down with the ship, but I will do so laughing not crying.
I sincerely respect you taking the high road, remaining quite until all the cards are on the table.
I hope you don’t view my rants as anything more than a cathartic release of frustration. And, man have I been frustrated lately, but still hopeful.
