That's what I was thinking..solidifying all their positions....must be something "brewing"......

[Notice the 2000000 sold at 15:02:18 and the corresponding 2000000 bought in chunks at 15:02:30. One of the MM's must not have had the shares to trade with , maybe that was what the signal was?]

Interesting article about advertisers in the gay market in today's NY Post.

ADS VEER TO QUEER

May 17, 2004 -- Advertisers are cashing in on the latest hot demographic: gay and lesbian consumers.
No longer in the closet about courting the gay community for its highly disposable income, companies such as Pier 1 Imports have taken a first step.

In its national TV campaign, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" style guru Thom Filicia is seen demonstrating to a straight woman what furniture to mix and match. Florida's wealthy gated community of Wilton Station is being touted as the "gay American dream" while in Boston, jewelers Shreve, Crump & Low are showcasing baubles with the tag line: "This is love. It's not up for a vote."

Advertisers are targeting gays more and more as they gain greater legal recognition. In Massachusetts, same-sex partners will be able to say, "I do," starting today.

"You make a minority part of the majority when you include them in your mainstream advertising," said Lauren Weiss of Nike Communications, a public-relations firm.

A new Grand Marnier ad reads: "Your sister is finally getting remarried. Her fiancée's name is Jill. The conversation is waiting. Go there."

Grand Marnier Vice President Steve Luttmann said: "We tested the idea on our consumers to see if talking about gay marriage alienated them. But it didn't."

Bet a gay TV network wouldn't alienate them either.

Bimbo-

Thanks for the info earlier on freetrade, there is no way I'm paying that $22 + 1/2% when this thing rockets. I just got done opening up my freetrade account and faxing them the info to transfer my positions over. Its going to be scary to not be able to touch my positions for a couple days or how ever long it takes to get them to freetrade. Thanks again!

I have been thinking about that all day...
my conclusion:
they want to get the info on the number of viewers before they release any pr about it. I am going to spend the night trying to find out how long that would ussually take (off the top of my head I would imagine a few days). lets say they find out that 3 qbiders (from the allstocks board) watched the test signal. I would not release any pr. but if they find out that of the aprox. 1.25 mil. people who were able to see it around 1mil did... well thats good news... lots of exposure. I think they are just waiting on the numbers...

For those newbies on board, or if you are like me and just want a better understanding of MM's and the like, here is a good starter reference for you.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=2366

I am long on QBID (and the Pickle) and watching this crazy up and down is making me dizzy. "But I won't let go of my shares for any MM!" Go ahead and shake the tree 'cause I'm not moving.

Hang in there all and good luck.
