Brahma That's encouraging to hear. I haven't been able to review either one ... QTN or LOGO. A friend (also a shareholder) has seen a little of LOGO and didn't find it very good ... but he wasn't really interested in the subject matter either because he thought it was too "gay".
Which brings me to my point:
I think Q's success depends on quality programming "of interest to" GLBT people.
To me, this means programming about "interesting people who may gay" rather than about "gay people who may be interesting".
I am sure GLBT people enjoy entertainment by and about non-GLBT people. Therefore, I think featured individuals, including show hosts and guests, should be interesting people who may or not be gay, as long as they understand and honestly support their GLBT audience members.
But this is only my opinion and won't make Q a success ... since neither Frank nor Lloyd have offered me a job as their programming director.

i just called qtn burbank and asked for mr fan..they said hes not at work today. then i asked when he will be back ..and the receptionist said she couldnt answer that.. its hard to deal with a company when nobody can get a hold of someone.. how do they operate their business..it amazes me. everything went from peachy to rotten in a matter of months. how sad.

in my business if a customer is signing loan docs and they have a question,, if they dont get a hold of me they will most likely cancel.. how do we know that mr fan is hard at work . has anyone got a hold of this mr fan? later this week im gonna stop by the studios and see if i can talk to him. i would love to know whats really going on

OK, before you JUMP ALL OVER ME, I want to copy this post from RB. This poster seems to be in the know quite a bit. I'M NOT SAYING HE IS CORRECT. But he has been right on alot of the time.

what do you expect dj. try to call cisco systems and ask for john chambers; guarantee you won't get through. it's not the CEO's job to speak directly to shareholders. that's what IR is for. unfortunately we don't really have that either.

hagatha I'll never jump on you for providing info, especially since you've qualified it very well.
Now for my "sun-shiny" opinion of this tidbit ... could be very positive, IF the accountants and lawyers are working for Mr. Fan and are fixing all the problems. Not good if they are working for someone else and tagging assets.
So, let's wait for more info and see what is going on ... assuming there is anything going on.

Brahma Maybe I misunderstood your original comment. I "thought" you said QTN was better than LOGO, and I was hoping that is true. Sorry if I got that wrong.
I believe the success of either network will depend on creative and original programming that both interests and supports the GLBT communities.
Oh, by the way ... I won't probe into your personal life by "guessing" about your job with the government. Just tell Laura and the girls I said HI, and please try to get our troops home by Christmas. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

I for one hope it's accountants and lawyers from the feds. Let them review the books. Fans already shown that he has been upfront with shareholders (best we can tell) and is trying to figure a way to clean it up. Hopefully it's them looking for evidence against Frankie.

I'd suggest if anyone has an extra $11.95 a month, become a VDC member and support the Q. Heck, I suspect most of us have invested much more than that to begin with. A little coin COULD go a long way/
