The price won't be adjusted. They are stating that the "market" will value the stock at $2.20. To be honest (and I own this stock so I'm not bashing), the market is already speaking and $2.20 isn't the answer yet.
I doubt you're going to see much price movement until they release North West's financials. Yes, they may be a huge oil company but it is much more critical that they are a "profitable" oil company.
Once investors have had a chance to see the financials, then the current price may stay where it is, fall even lower or go even higher than $2.20. It's a crapshoot right now which is why people are selling.
My personal hunch is that North West is profitable or they wouldn't have been offering cash for Nord. HOW profitable however, is the key here...

When merger is completed the newly created entity named Northwest Oil Group, to be a publicly traded company!! He was in a rush to get to a meeting, and said would be not be able to be reached for a while.

here is what I found out 1st Expect a PR this afternoon/tmw about the details as far as o/s and valuation. They have a meeting at 10am They Will be not doing a split, they will be issuing shares to the new company. However those shares along with the 180mil shares will all be restricted for a year or so. I asked him if he could release the number of restriced shares in a PR to boost investor confidence and he said that it was a great idea and he would bring it up in the meeting. Their lawyers say it will be 2-3 weeks before the otc:bb move, however he seemed more confident that they could get it done as soon as the end of next week. The only delay will be in the name change as well as the auiditng of the private firm. Good luck to longs, today will be good (i think/hope)
I'm unclear on what all this means. I'm hoping someone else can clarify. I have a buy order in for a dip, but I don't want to have to hold the shares for a year.

Our share would NOT be restricted, owners of NWO shares would enter the deal with restricted shares.

The name change can be done in a day. If that private firm hasn't been audited to the standards expected in the states, then it could be several weeks...

Nothing is guarenteed, but No whent to hold hit it on the head, in order to prevent share dumping, NWO shareholder would "likely" receive restricted shares after the merger.

I'm not mnvestor, but NDOL stock is owned by thousands of public shareholders who can buy and sell the stock freely. North West is owned by a handful or private shareholders who have not been able to ever sell any of their stock in the open market before.
That is a dangerous situation when you suddenly give 4 or 5 shareholders millions of dollars worth of stock that they NOW can sell freely. The problem? They WILL sell a lot and that will drive the price down...

its all speculation right now...the important thing for those that are long is to position themselves to take advantage of the situation...look at my post a few pages back...the longs have a chance to make unbelievable amounts of cash, if they play the current market with the long term outlook

Wow, this stock is so weird. I am not back in yet, but considering it. Can someone please, in laymen's terms, describe exactly what the PR said? No conjecture please, just the facts...lol. What is going to happen?

Kcool....no one can answer that question for you. The full disclosure of the deal next week should bring a nice spike to it. ItsJustMe is right in what he's saying, they'll need to get the word out with North West's financials.

You got it Laktu. This has always been my position.

mnvestor,ItsJustMe, thanks that struck a chord in my thinking. The restricted shares will protect Nord shares from being devastated by a stock selling frenzy. It should also offer good value to ours if we decide to sell some. IMO
