Here is the E-mail I sent to Mr. Makarov. I will post any reply I receive.
Hello Mr. Makarov,
I am a current shareholder of your company's stock and have been very pleased with the recent activity. Congratulations on your meteoric rise from pennies to dollars. I realize that you are probably flooded with requests for information, and I hate to pile on to the top, but I would like to ask some questions. Are you currently in negotiations to finalize the buy out? The pr was a tad vague and it is causing quite a bit of market unrest. As far as I am concerned you are selling the company for $2.17 and I am waiting for that announcement to collect that value in my stock. However, since the price of the stock is trading so much lower than that, many believe that there is a problem or that this stock will be sold in something other than a cash deal. Can you verify that the offer is for CASH? Is $2.17 a negotiated price or is it just a first offer? Wll we vote on the buy out or will it be done without our input? Is the purchasing company going to keep NDOL public or will it retire it to private? Answers to any of these questions will go a long way to calming many fears amongst those of us who have a considerable stake in your comapany's actions over the next few days. Thank you in advance and good luck in your dealings.
Sincerely,
Don *********

Nice email Doni but I haven't gotten a response from mine (sent to Makarov) on monday, as I am sure he is very busy. Parkins however has answered all emails. Maybe you can sent to Parkins as well....
quote:Originally posted by hensley1971: i really cant reason out why this went down at all today. i figured wed be sitting in the 1.60-1.70 range today
The reason it dropped a few cents today, and the reason it's not at 1.70 or beyond, is because it's a pink. The mere word "pink" creates an immediate doubt in the mind of every educated investor. You have to be doubtful of all pinks until you can prove to yourself otherwise. If this were on a higher exchange, we're sitting at, near or above 2 bucks right now IMO.
Reading back through today's posts, there is a general feeling of anxiety/paranoia from many concerning where this thing is headed from here. "Is it a pump and dump", "this drop in the pps is scaring me to death", "we're all oinkers about to be slaughtered."
Please listen to me. I've held this stock for a year now. I've never sold one of my 75,000 shares. Not even when it reached .037...not a one. I've spent hundreds of hours over the past year researching this stock.
Here's the botom line: This company has never lied to it's investers. This company has been completely open with the feds. The only thing this company is guilty of is being a little less than timely in its PR's.
Oh yeah, one more thing, here's the final reason that I have 100% total faith in this stock. The Chairman of the NDOL Board of Directors, Stratton Stevens, is an appointed member of the Order of Canada. He's Canadian Royalty. He has more damn money than all of us put together. My god, he's not going to put it all on the line for a damn pump-n-dump penny stock scam.
Here's what the Order of Canada is all about:
The Order of Canada is Canada's highest civilian honour, with membership awarded to those who exemplify the Order's Latin motto Desiderantes meliorem patriam, which means "Desiring a better country." Created in 1967, the Order was established to recognize the lifetime contributions made by Canadians who made a major difference to Canada. The Order also recognizes efforts made by non-Canadians who have made the world better by their actions. Musicians, politicians, artists, television stars, benefactors, and many more have been accepted into the Order. The Queen of Canada, Queen Elizabeth II, is Sovereign of the Order and the serving Governor General of Canada is its Chancellor and Principal Companion. Since 1967, 5053 people have been appointed to the Order of Canada.
Okay, so, this honor is 40 years old, and only 5053 Canadians have been appointed? See what I'm getting at here? There is NO BETTER NOR SAFER PLAY IN THE PINKS THAN THIS ONE. That's what I'm getting at. IMO, if you can't feel good about this one, you need to never invest in a pink again.
If the offer is accepted, than I'll take my $170k profit and be very happy. I'm not like most of you though. I actually wish they'd decline the damn offer, move to the OTCBB, aquire additional reserves, and start sucking this stuff out of the ground. It's not going to happen, I know. But this one is a future $10 stock if there ever was one, period.
I'm riding this bad boy until they tell me to get off.

Someone posted of a web site claiming Nord is in trouble with bankruptcy. That is not our Nord....there is another Nord oil, but it is all the way on the other side of the country....
Nord's reserves are in the Samara region
The region of russia the bankruptcy was filed in is way on the other side of russia, in the north east, near siberia......Nord's action is on south west russia......
you can check the map.......I haven;t pursued it any further, but this bankruptcy thing appears to be the other Nord Oil folks have been referring to in past DD posts. They are like on opposite ends of the coutry. You would think that a bankruptcy claim agaisnt our Nord would be in the same juristdiction if it were so. Be careful of bashers! They;ve been going around the boards spreading lies.....Anyone who has done their DD on this is not swayed..... TWOOOOO DOLLAAAAAS......here we come!

nothing personal Mickey, but - particularly your last sentence was highly comical, and you might want to consider rethinking.
anyone who has been around this board for a few years knows exactly what i'm talking about.

Stockguru, I called Parkins back a number of times after he told me that he was in a meeting, he didn't sound cheery. And I let him go. Afterwards he must have decided to count his lucky charms and leave his phone off for the rest of the day.
Thanks Doniboy an Nowhen and everybody for all the good info.

I think its funny that everyone keeps defending Purl Gurl. Maybe she is your friend, and maybe she knows her stocks, I have no idea, but really...What would you guys say to a person who owns no shares of a stock, has never posted on the stocks thread for over 120 pages and then just shows up and says "This is probably a pump and dump, pigs get slaughtered"
You guys would call her a basher and you would be right.
There are a ton of bashers out on NDOL. I read one guy who posted the same message on three boards about how this stock will dump no matter what and we'd all be sorry. Aside from what you may think, we are not idiots. I know that there is a risk, there is always a risk, but it is a calculated one. We have a buy out offer at a significantly higher price than the current pps, most of us have done our DD on this, we have a company that has yet to lie to us about anything, and we have a company that also has to think about its other holdings that continue to be traded. I am confident of a good result, not positive, just confident. If anyone wants to give me valid reasons why I may be wrong I will certainly consider them, it would be foolish not to. However, a quick "Pigs get slaughtered" bash doesn't constitute constructive criticism in my book. And it really doesn't warrant all this defense.

lol, you have to take Purlie with --not a grain --but a box of salt. Good trader and most excellent DD-coach. Some think she's infallible. oooops--we're all fallible. Some believe she's all Coyote trix-- ooops, again.

This company has a net worth just under ten-million and enjoys roughly two-million a year losses. In my personal checking account, I have about ten times the amount of cash Nord holds per last filed 10-Q document.
Would you buy this company for five-hundred-million?
This alleged buyer indicates purchase of all outstanding shares. Should a person elect to not sell, how will this buyer "force" all vested into selling? Will all common stock be converted to non-negotiable restricted stock?
Why multiple announcements on this buy but no news of a firm committed contract?
This stock is being pumped by Wall Street Grapevine, Twintrader, OTC Picks and other known facilities used for pump and dump. Why is this?
If all are so certain of this deal, why is this stock not trading near or at 2.17 per already?
Why are you, plural, simply not buying all you can at 1.80 or 1.90 or even 2.00 per share. Price is unimportant, quantity purchased is important.
Most seem absolutely sure of this buy deal so why are you not simply buying above market ask?
Why are market makers not buying up all this stock?
Is Viatcheslav Makarov subject to American law?
Back on March 23 Nord registered twenty-million new shares. This is followed by a flurry of pr news and announcement of a "confidential" buy offer, not once but several times. Would this behavior exemplify pumping?
Those twenty-million shares, are these the shares being sold recently at inflated prices based purely on speculation?
I suppose asking pertinent questions, sharing pertinent comments, qualifies me as a basher.
Nonetheless, I do not read any of you engaging in discussion of important NDOL issues.
How many of you have actually performed research?

Sorry Purl, you are still nominated for the friendly stock helper blooper award. You could have posted that info the first time, but instead posted a cryptic message. Sorry, but no refunds are accepted.

Ya know, Thorn, you are playing the emotions of others, and playing with their money, for your personal profit.
None know what will become of this stock. However, I do know informed traders always do better, in the long run.
I also know those who instantly label a person a "basher" for presenting difficult topics, those are people not to be trusted; they are those practicing concealment.
just now got back. Have enoyed many of your posts, yet on first scan of this thread, I'm slightly embarassed to say, I also do *not* understand why the buyout ($2.17? as i recall ---lol, i been hitting them k-train specials) has not been punched.
let's be rational...surely you won't take Purlie's jibes personally? eh?

Yeah, this buy-out simply does not make a cow lick of sense. Paying 500 million for company not worth 10 million, well something ain't quite right.
I cannot find anything which suggests Nord is worth more than they state in their filings.
Lots of projections on oil production but until the oil is in the barrel....
Funny, today a person asks how I found their balance sheet. My goodness, that person better slip on his pants, inside out before someone picks his pockets!
Wearing your pants inside out, I learned that down in a Mexican jail long ago, uh, well, boring story you don't want to read.

No, BuyTex, I don't know why the pps isn't higher, but I'm not going to jump the gun and assume that it means this is a scam. Does anything much ever make sense with a pink?
