It was brought up on IHUB that there were ad banners being shared by Verizon and Direct TV.So I went to the Verizon website to see what was going on.It didn't tell me anything of a buyout or merger or partnership. So I googled "Verizon and DirectTV" and came up with several press releases about Verizon offering Direct TV in their top tier package of services.I'm not sure how it will work ie:don't know whether or not DTV will come through Verizon fiber or a dish will be installed. Anyway...it would appear that Verizon is the Telephony company Frank couldn't mention by name. And of course the next natural assumption is that Direct TV will be one of our carriers. - - - - -

Thousands attend Gay Pride Parade in West Hollywood
By: Wire Reports -
WEST HOLLYWOOD - Thousands of people attended today's 35th annual gay pride parade in West Hollywood, where Paris Hilton added to the pageantry by serving as one of the grand marshals.
As of late this afternoon, no incidents had been were reported and no one had been arrested, said Los Angeles sheriff's Sgt. Neill Murchison.
The sheriff's department estimated the crowd at 90,000 people, while other estimates ran as high as 350,000 parade-goers.
Though some questioned the selection of Hilton, who is known for her heterosexual exploits, to represent gays, the 24-year-old model and reality TV star received an enthusiastic welcome as she rode in the parade.
Last night she made a brief appearance at the two-day Los Angeles Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual & Transgender Pride Festival.
"I love the gay community, I love you guys, I love your style," she gushed to the gregarious crowd. "You're hot, you're sexy."
She also showed off her engagement ring from her fiance, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis.
Her mother, Kathy Hilton, the host of the unscripted NBC series "I Want To Be A Hilton," and actresses Dana Delany and Rose McGowan, were also grand marshals.
Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa also showed his support for the gay community by riding in the parade.
Organizers said the event helps raise awareness of the gay community.
"We're bringing a greater visibility to who we are and what we are about, and showing the country and the world that we are your neighbors, we are your doctors, we are your attorneys, we are your friends we are your teachers," parade organizer Rodney Scott told NBC4.
"We have come a long way," he added, "and we have a long way to go. We're still having conversations about our equality. We still don't have the simple rights that everyone else has. We don't have the right to marry the person that we love."
The gay fest is also an opportunity to just have fun.
"Basically it's just a place to let go and have fun and be free, and gay pride is one of the best things that's out there," parade watcher Nicholas Marks told the TV station.

Maestro This is just a PR . . . no one said it was "their big frickin' PR" . . . so calm down and wait. And remember, hypertension is the leading killer of impatient and uninformed investors.

Rich I think you got your wish. The PR today isn't the one we are waiting for, and some might call it "fluff", but I see it as another positive step in the right direction. The BIG ONE is still coming . . . someday.
