I just went to the message board which I suspected the post was from. My understanding is I'm not supposed to post the name or link of another board or I would.
Looks like Jenny CC's membership of that board has come to an abrupt end. The other members of that board don't seem to know why.
Anyway, folks. Don't get your hopes up. I suspect the Viacom rumor may be just that.
I'm not a basher. I don't post often, but I'm always here and long in QBID.

Whiznock, don't get me wrong, I would love to see it happen, but I have been let down in the past after reading fabricated lies about QBID on message boards. I sure am hoping it were true though! As of right now, I don't see why it wouldn't. Just remaining cautiously optimistic.

Well, I was around for the first run to .025 and QBID treated me pretty good. Unfortunately it did not keep going. Based on a lot of rumors, I was getting a sour taste in my mouth over this stock. it then began to get a lot of positive output. I can see this still taking awhile but I think the outcome will pay off. IMO, I still think dips and peaks are the route to go. It will create a better position in the end run.
I've been slowly accumulating shares of QBID over the past month and reading this thread regularly. You all seem like a nice group of folks, even when there is tension here it doesn't get nasty like some other threads. When the big party in Vegas goes down I would like to celebrate with you all. As I am new to playing stocks I have been laying low, learning as much as I can, and especially learning how to do my own DD. Now I have a question; what happens to a company's stocks when it is bought out by another company, i.e. Viacom buys Q Television? Thanks, Leo.

Depends on the deal. Sometimes they merge/convert into stock of the new company sometimes they just get paid off.
You see it happen often that company A buys company B and then share holders of company B get 1 share of company A for every 2 of shares of comapny B they had. All dependent on values of the deal and the values of the companys involved.
Say Disney is 20 a share and QBID is 1 a share.. chances are for every 20 shares of QBID you have you will get 1 share of Viacom - or something along that lines.
Two examples of past stocks I held where this happened were Netscape and CDNow. I believe I got 1.5 shares (something like that) of AOL when they bought Netscape and I know I got cashed out for whatever the deal value was when BMG bought CDNOW. I was holding the companys that got bought not the ones buying.

I started in Dec 2004 "lurking" on allstocks and found the QBID thread. I would have to agree with you about everyone being so nice. We have molded ourselves into a internet family, if you will. Yes we do disagree sometimes but usually apologize to each other and go on. The regular Qbidians (that's what we call ourselves)here respect each other...it's the bashers you have to watch out for. After awhile you will be able to tell who is real and who are the wolves in sheeps clothing...LOL I look forward to the party in Vegas as well!! I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to DD,especially to some of these great minds on this thread.(won't name in case I leave one out:)! )So I will leave it up to them to answer your question. But IMO I would think it would only be positive news if we were bought!
I've already figured out who some of the great minds are, there's for sure a lot to be learned by all...what I lack in DD to bring to this thread I'll try to make up for in good energy. Thanks again, Leo

Just in case you didn't know, the other players in the game is here! TV, Pridevision, LOGO, etc.
I'd like to know a little bit more about your reasoning. Why would LOGO/Viacom buy QBID over one of these others? Just because it'd be fairly cheap to do?
I would think it'd be better to launch, thus shaking more investors out of QBID so the price drops, then buying it up at a more reasonable (for them, anyway) price.
Buying at 24 cents a share would mean that Frank would have about (8 billion shares) 1.9 billion dollars, that seems a bit high of an estimate. Five cents might be a bit more reasonable.

LOL!
I registered this username with the hopes that I would be a proud shareholder of a stock that would go from pennies to dollars one day. However, I've accumalated enough shares that even if QBID went from pennies to nickels, dimes, or quarters, I would be okay with that too.

April 07, 2005 - 05:37pm [National] ArtsEnt ---------------------------------------------------------------- PRESS RELEASE
Hero Unit Productions Inc. an Atlanta-based company, announced today it's exclusive arrangement with Q Television to produce LGBT sporting and special events. This agreement will allow for greater community content to be brought to the network.
Hero Unit Productions will produce for Q Television the 2005 IGRA Rodeo Season including the Championship Finals; Pride in the Heartland, the 20th Anniversary of Nebraska Pride and, first up, “Steff Mahan In Concert” - a 90 minute concert special of this rising Lesbian new country artist. These specials will compliment the two Hero Unit Productions Inc., shows that regularly air on the network, “The Agenda” and “Road to the 2006 Gay Games,” a monthly special highlighting the stars and stories leading up to the actual Games presentation which is a Q Television Network Exclusive Presentation.
“We continue to seek out exciting and different programming nationwide that can unite, educate and entertain the LGBT community. The rodeo and these specials fulfill our goal of bringing segments of the community to the community as a whole,” said Hero Unit Productions Inc.'s owners Brad Ecton and Noel Hansen. “And with Hero Unit being gay owned and operated, it allows us to produce these programs with the proper perspective they deserve.”
IGRA Rodeo, Look at these sponsors! Bud Light, American Airlines, Bacardi.
My reasoning is based in part on how people on this thread are feeling, the caliber of this company based on what they've been doing recently, such as their advertising, Dinah Shore, the quality of the people and equipment they are using to produce they're shows and the talent I have heard they have been acquiring, etc., and the connections Frank probably has after The Movie Channel deal. I definitely see your point though, as I can see a lot of investers dropping out by .25 cents.

I think we're pretty much on the same page, cautiously optimistic about that rumor. All I was trying to say was that it wouldn't surprise me in the least. QBID is the answer to Sumner Redstone's dreams of tapping into that $600,000,000,000.oo market that he covets! They said they delayed basically because they lacked the content. Frank has the content that is produced by gays, for gays! Sumner is anything but dumb & he knows that will sell better than the stuff MTV has produced. It's all about the money!
Frank can tell us he won't sell till he's blue in the face. If Viacom offers him the right price he will jump on it! Believe that! Do not forget this!!! They have done business before! Viacom has bought one of Franks projects for a nice sum (The Movie Channel). So like I said. Do not be surprised if Redstone scoops this up as well!
One other thing! Peaser may piss people off on this thread but as far as GTEL is concerned, he's right! That puppy is a genuine long term hold. I will personally garuantee you that it is going over a buck near term (a year give or take a few months) & may very well be worth well over $5 within two years *if not alot more*!
What I won't do nor will I tell others to is to sell QBID to get it! QBID has storybook stock written all over it. I'm set where GTEL's concerned but would be perfectly willing to buy more in this range. It's another SIRI only they have no competition that's even close to them.
The only reason I will not buy more now is because QBID is headed down & that's when I buy! Never the less I don't want to make anyone here dislike me but in so far as I genuinely like people on this board I would urge you & anyone else that does not have a position in GTEL to buy some & hold it for two years. You will be glad you did! Out of respect for this board I will not say anymore on the subject!
