i would imagine the owner of the Oxygen channel could afford that kind of investment. being the owner she could push for a better time location for Q to air on O2 just a thought nothing to back it.

4/6/2005 - RE: NCTA

From Rene Schenk

As the NCTA Show wraps up, we are thrilled with the outcome. We have secured programming deals, been exclusively interviewed by national news programs and acquired high level talent from our competitors. Q's management held a champagne reception on Monday evening that was attended by more than two hundred cable executives. Needless to say, we were a hit.

Management will be returning today to Palm Springs and we will highlight specifics of the event in the coming days.

this is interesting. they had a party after the convention with 200+ cable execs.

where they celebrating new partnerships? new deals maybe some new investors?

think about it you don't throw a champagne reception because you failed at the convention.

Something really big is brewing. I'm locked and loaded and ready to go.

this is really encouraging.

Posted on IHUB by firefight4..Good Summary of our competition!!

HereTv- the REAL story, heres what I have found....this gets a little confusing from hereTv's standpoint since their availability options vary depending on which carrier you have. Just remember, HereTv airs 12 hours a day from 6pm- 6 am. Q Television airs 24/7(just like HBO etc) for 7.95 a month..............(further explained below)

1) HereTv offers ONLY 12 hours of programming a day from 6 pm-6am. here is proof from HereTv's website....
note: On Directv you pay 9.99 a month for 12 hours of programming a day. Q Television airs 24 hrs a day for 7.95......

ON DIRECTV:
Now you have two ways to get here! on DIRECTV:
Get here! The first premium channel for gays and lesbians! Order a monthly subscription and get access to all here! programming - including Pay Per View titles! It's fast and easy: go to www.directv.com/here or call 1-800-DIRECTV to subscribe now! Once you have subscribed, go to channel 190 between 6pm and 6am ET and watch all the here! you want. Cost is $9.99 per month.

Order a three-hour block of programming with Pay Per View and get a taste of here! . Go to www.directv.com/here or channel 190 between 6am and 6pm. Cost is $5.99 per block.

2) HereTv will say in some prs that they are 24/7 but that is not entirely true, sure you can access their Video On Demand features 24/7 but they only air regular programming for 12 hours a day.
Cablevision offers this for 6.95 a month and RCN/Starpower offer it for 8.95 a month, so-called 24/7 access, that is inaccurate imo. Q offers true 24/7 access since you get to view all their programming 24/7, not Video On Demand.

VIA On Demand Subscription with iO digital cable service from Cablevision:
With iO, here! TV is currently offered as an On Demand subscription. As a subscriber, you will have access to all here! programming, all the time.
here! is available on Channel 506 or select here! On Demand directly from the main menu.
Cost is $6.95 per month

3) HereTv on Cox cable, you must pay 6.95 for 30 hours of programming a month. Q offers 24/7 unlimited access all month long for 7.95....
On Cox Cable.....
here! will be available as a subscription service for $6.95 per month. Digital cable customers can have access to 30 hours of programming from here! with new content refreshed regularly. This includes original feature-length films, original series and selections from the world's largest gay and lesbian film library. All of here!'s critically acclaimed content is targeted to a broad-based gay and lesbian audience.

4) Most HereTv carriers such as Comcast, Dish, Time Warner, Adelphia only offer Video On Demand in which you must pay for each movie/title you want to see and that costs between 3.99-5.99 per title. No subscription service is available on these carriers. Thats expensive imo.

To sum it up....
On HereTv you have to....
1) pay 6.95 for 30 hours of programming a month on Cox
2) pay 9.99 a month and get to watch from 6pm- 6 am every day
3) pay 3.99-5.99 per movie depending on which carrier you have
also, on DISH and Comcast you can only pay per view, NO subscription available

On Q Television, you pay 7.95 a month for 24/7 access.

I guess we will find out exactly how the champaigne bash went on the next PR. As I said before, out of the 3 GLB stations available, I believe Q is the only one trading publicly and they are basically everywhere in the publics eye. The post from Rich was a good one and a very good point for $'s vs value for the customer. As we have all seen, sometimes you have to read deep and all of a PR to get the whole story.

Am I the only one thats noticing that our little runs are getting shorter and shorter?
Lower lows and lower highs. Imho This is not a good sign. We seem to keep getting good PR and do not seem to be able to move this thing up and I for one am not confident that we ever will. Of course I'm sure I'll getall the standerd responces on we need to wait and it just takes time but we have had more time than we need in my opinion.
Now everyone can jump on me and call me a basher but before you do check and you will see that I've been in QBID longer than a lot of you have been on this board so I'm not bashing I just am starting to think we are not going anywhere untill the company starts reducing the o/s and that is going to cause a big drop in price as the only way I see to do it is with R/S and canceling out shares and I don't see that happening. It could also be done with a buy back but I doubt that will happen either. I know Frank stats no R/S while I'm in charge but I've heard that before. Anyway I just wanted to state MHO

Sir Loin,

I am not going to grind you into a greasy spot, it's very simple, if you are not comfortable holding to what you have in your portfolio then go ahead and sell and move onto another stock.

Remember the IRS will allow you to write off $3000/per year for losses.

Well said, Farley.

I have no problem hearing negative opinions about any stock I own . . . if the authors will explain the reason for their posts. There are only three legitimate reasons why anyone would post negatives about a stock:

1) To make the share price decline so they can buy more shares. (I understand this reason.)
2) To "save" others from losing their money. (I suggest they spend more time making money and let others fend for themselves.)
3) To purge themselves of anger and frustration caused by losing money. (Cheaper than a shrink, I guess, but not likely to help them recover any money.)

I welcome all replies and comments. But please be honest enough to tell me WHY you post negative opinions. Especially if you own the stock.

OXYGEN RENEWS MULTIYEAR CARRIAGE AGREEMENTS
WITH COX AND INSIGHT
AND ADDS NEW SUBSCRIBERS ON COMCAST AND ADELPHIA

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 3, 2005 -- Oxygen has completed multi-year distribution renewals with Cox Communications and Insight Communications, with continued distribution in markets including Orange County, Northern Virginia (including DC suburbs), Columbus, and Louisville. Oxygen recently announced a renewal agreement with Charter Communications and with the edition of Cox and Insight; it now has long term agreements with every major multi-system operator. In addition, as of April 6th, the network will add 80,000 new Comcast subscribers in Cleveland, Ohio, rounding out full distribution in that market. In March, Oxygen added additional customers throughout Southern California on Adelphia’s expanded basic tier. Oxygen was also recently launched on Comcast in Anne Arundel County, Maryland and Augusta, Georgia.
Oxygen launched in eight million cable households in 2000 and is presently carried in 54.5 million homes. The women-owned and operated network is the only independent network to have gained widespread distribution in the last five years. Over 90% of the network’s carriage is on expanded basic tiers.
“The conventional wisdom has always been that it would be harder for us to gain distribution as an independent programmer,” said Geraldine Laybourne, Chairman and CEO for Oxygen. “We’ve disproved that theory by working closely with our partners and going the extra mile to deliver the best network for women 18 to 49. We intend to build on our relationship with our distribution partners by working hard to be their favorite network.”
“Oxygen has a formula for programming that’s unique, fresh and very different than any other network,” said Pamela Euler Halling, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Programming for Insight.

Looks good for "Q" to be associated with this [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Anyone can say anything they want as long as it is not liable. I really don't care when 'bashers' come on boards and spew the same ol' rhetoric about how stock ABC is not going to make it.

We have about 5000-6000 investors in QBID, that number are going to start increasing exponentially; basher’s comments won’t make any difference at that point. They can try and play there games now and that is fine. I personally don’t care if we take a cpl years to get to $1, I can wait for that, I have a big enough stake that I will be retired at that point.

When I bought SIRI at .70 and XMSR at 3.50 everyone around me in my close circle of friends thought I was crazy, “Why would you spend 50k on 2 stocks that are almost on the verge of bankruptcy”(this was at the time SIRI was trying to get Ford to finance them and XMSR was trying to get GM, the deals were NOT finalized.). I have one answer and this also applies to QBID, it’s called I have “Vision”. I knew that SIRI and XMSR would blossom and take over radio, terrestrial radio is dead, and it just doesn’t know it yet. And now look at SIRI and XMSR, SIRI is currently undervalue and trading @ 5.43 and XMSR is overvalued and currently trading @ 30.35. I have made a bundle on both of those stocks and I have the “Vision” to know that QBID will do the same.

The bottom line is if you don’t have the vision to see where a stock is going then you may want to just get out and move on. Frank has the vision to make QBID a strong prominent network, he obviously has serious backing with all that is going on in the latest PR’s. Read the PR’s carefully, while reading them FORGET what you want to hear (carriers etc) and look at the where the company is going and incorporate that with the vision of where the company is going. It just might change your viewpoint from worrying so much to getting excited about what’s to come.

Sorry for the long rant!

seems to me market makers are in control here, they can bring us up simply by raising the BID and ask every time a few trades go through at the ask,if they did that momentem would carry us up 1000% in a day. there are many investers out there waiting for that kind of action to step in. the only way they can bring it down is with a repeat of yesterdays volume while dropping the bid, but for that they would need to own many shares at a very low price. with all the accumulation going on lately i dont see that as a possibilty.so far volume is very light and mm`s still have not updated their b/a times this may be the calm before the storm! holding long and strong!! Please help me understand your reply to Farley's message.

If you are arguing that everyone has the right to post an opinion, I agree totally. And Farley never said otherwise.

My reply to Farley's message also confirms everyone's right to express an opinion.

I said: "I have no problem hearing negative opinions about any stock I own . . . if the authors will explain the reason for their posts."

I can understand when people have doubts about a stock, since no stock is a sure thing. But I do not understand why anyone posts negative opinions about a stock, especially one they own.

My question has nothing to do with "freedom of speech". It simply asks for the "logic" behind posting a negative opinion. I gave 3 reasons why someone might post a negative opinion. One makes sense to me, the other two don't.

My reason for posting this message is simply to gain understanding. I am curious. I don't want to change anyone's mind about QBID. I just want to understand some of the comments I am reading.

If I have misunderstood your comment, please let me know.
