Welcome Madmoney!

I've got a pretty good hand myself & I'm in no danger of folding either. If we go down I buy. If we go up I hold or press my bet. Unless of course we go way up! Then I'll start letting a little go at a time!

DirecTV mentioned in this QBID article :

http://www.goharrison.com/site/epage/17653_304.htm?backtoitemid=5896_304

here you go....March 29th discussion of our QTN....brand new site

Big Fat Harry BLOG
Big Fat Harry BLG

-------------------------------------------------
Tuesday, March 29, 2005 - Well, the Palm Springs experience was extraordinary in many ways. Not for the city so much, but for the endless frolic that is Q Television. During one live TV interview with (in)famous circuit promoter Jeffrey Sanker, I yapped about his history at Studio 54 in the early days. The show’s other host—who’s an offbeat comic—asked Jeffrey if Easter weekend for the White Party was in celebration of Jesus. Sanker pointed out he’s Jewish and simply picked a popular holiday weekend for his gregarious gatherings. Co-host responded, “Well, your people killed our Lord, Jesus!” Long pause. You could hear a mosquito buzzing a mile away. Jeffrey Sanker simply gulped, then blinked. Then blinked, gulped, gulped, and blinked some more.
I jumped in with the classic WASP cocktail party rescue of “what he really intended to say was obviously….”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuesday, March 22, 2005 - Day two in Palm Springs with Q Televison Network. We're covering the annual gay bacchanalia called the Dinah shore Golf Classic (lesbians) and the infamous White Party (gay men). Q, which is based in Palm Springs, California, has built a massive state-of-the-art set inside an open-air, cylindrical Mexican restaurant, right downtown. Multiple crews have been brought in from LA to put together this massive TV production which has several live satellite trucks stationed around town.

Today I went live from Century Palm Springs, a clothing-optional resort in Warm Sands area of town. Imagine being on camera with a nervous guest while naked European (guess how I figured that out?) boys tanned themselves nakedly from both corners of your eyes. I was amazed by my own discipline, muzzling the easy remarks that begged release. Unlike radio with requires limited equipment to pull off, TV means at least 6 people with you at all times, a microwave truck, and endless cell-phoning. After the sun went down, I travelled back to the set and co-anchored several segments on their afternoon show called On Q Live. Being a bit of a techie, I also had to check out the 22 million dollar satellite truck--an outsized 18-wheeler with multiple interior high-tech control rooms. It seriously looked like NASA, but better. Banks and banks of monitors, staffs of crew people pushing endless rows of blinking buttons, and still another crew wearing headsets and clicking timers.

Q Television Network has beaten all the other gay “channels” out of the gate. They're even publicly traded on Wall Street (QBID). This massive undertaking is but one of many that are planned. And On Q Live is a daily show from 6:30-9:30 p,m. So far, the network’s on in Chicago, San Francisco, and Boston. Seattle’s next and so is Direct TV.

I’m part of the show every day this week, starting sometime around 4:30 pm (PT). This link will take you a...

I can't believe this! Two great PR's this week and this POS stock is still going down!! I've had enough of this. It's obvious the MM's don't like us, and Frank still has not came through on many promises. There is only so much an investor is willing to take before they fold. I got out of QBID this morning. There are plenty of other stocks to be played that actually have potential. I might get back in when we see .001's again.

Firestone is Gearing Up For Something: Remember Firestone is the major programming component of Qtelevision [Big Grin]

April 01, 2005 09:05 AM US Pacific Timezone

Intelsat Chosen by Firestone Communications to Expand Cable Programming Distribution

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2005--Intelsat announced today that Firestone Communications has expanded its use of the Intelsat Americas(TM) fleet for distribution of cable programming in North America. The long-term contract, to utilize a full transponder on IA-13, will give Firestone Communications and its cable programming customers access to the satellite's prime cable arc location at 121(degree) W, and connectivity to over 3,000 digital cable head-ends in the United States.

Firestone Communications is a rapidly growing media and communications company offering a new, fully-digital, state-of-the-art network operations facility for programmers and producers around the world. Accessing the IA-13 satellite allows Firestone Communications to leverage the prime cable distribution neighborhood on the satellite and significantly expand its customers' viewing audiences.

"As we've grown our business, Intelsat's flexibility has provided us with more bandwidth within its cable programmer community, enabling us to better accommodate our customers' needs," said Michael G. Fletcher, President of Firestone Communications. "Intelsat now provides us with a full transponder's capacity and power allowing us to cost-effectively offer a full multiplex of cable channels."

Ramu Potarazu, COO of Intelsat, stated, "Intelsat is actively committed to growing our video distribution community in the cable arc where IA-13 is located. Customers such as Firestone Communications help us achieve that growth as new cable channels are added to its customer lineup. Emerging cable programmers find immediate value in the cost-effective, turnkey program distribution services provided by Firestone Communications and Intelsat, which effectively lower market entry barriers and get channels up and running quickly."

a transponder from what i can remember carries 32 channels.

so they are capable of carrying 32 network channels now.

I wonder how many they currently have.

maybe they are planning room for Franks other channels that he has talked about, like the abouriginal channel that he spoke of last year.

nice to see. maybe Frank will announce something on the heals of this pr.

cool nice find Doc

Rumour for sure.

if we had Directv and it wasnt rumour we would not be sitting under a penny now.

nice rumour though and i hope it has some legs to be reality.

in time we will be there, I think anyway.

Directv likes to be the leader, and i think that we are going to be the leading GLBT channel. its only a matter of time and we will be there and on echostar.

Firestones new PR and the obvious arrangement of some sort between us and them begs the question of what is our piece of their PIE in the SKY?

I believe Ulluminati said CEO of Firestone was at PS event. Taking that as truth. He very much could have been there as a golf and "fun in the sun" trip using the time for an expensed vacation and some pressing of the flesh. Big money at those golf events and the locale didnt hurt that issue either. Or he was there because he has a more than "its a new account" interest in Qs success and/or could have been evaluating possible partner/clients to display in his newly acquired sat deal. This didnt happen over night, it was in the works while he was in Palms Springs. Thats a guess but time for something like that to be discussed, planned, and signed isnt noirmally 48 hours. And even if he wasnt there for that purpose I would think Frank would have been resourceful enough to have gotten wind of the sat deal in chats over the weekend there and would have used that as a door to get a foot in to the future.

As far as Horizon in the riddle goes... maybe its capitalization was more for emphasis or just a red herring? George enjoys the this and could be just playing. Or horizon normally brings about the thoughts of to come soon and this morning we get the Firestone pr.

If you dont know, George, is a poster at IHUB who appears off and on with cryptic riddles to entertain and amuse. He has an uncanny ability to show up prior to good news and spout of something ridiculous and disappear. Then after something happens that can be possibly read back into his riddle he shows up comments and leaves.

His post was something to the effect of:

PIE in the SKY in the HORIZON

IHUB is down so I cant 100% verify on the wording, but someone else probably can or can get it later.

Its more fun than anything substantial but its a hell of a lot more fun than the pages of "you are a basher!" vs "oh bite me you daytraders are hurting us faithful ones". lol

I want retire soon, Q needs to get their deals done!

Just like a private business does. They still have to maintain finacial records for the IRS. They don,t care what you are. Also never assume that just because its a pink it does not file or be required to file. A Pink sheet can file for reporting status. Once they do they are required to file. If not they can be shut down like any other company. Just look at cmkx. Thats were they got into trouble with the SEC.
