May 31 '06 Since Israel completed its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip last September, more than 440 rockets have landed inside Israel, some doing extensive damage but none -- so far -- causing any deaths.
these are crappy rockets, but in the last month? i've been hearing that the rocket quality is improving...

last year? Hamas was so desparate? they were making the rockets out the pipe used to make street signs...
http://www.standwithus.com/news_post.asp?NPI=249 To overcome a lack of raw materials, Kassam rocket makers have begun using pipes that held up street signs. Because of this there is a dearth of signposts in Gaza, military sources said.
The sources said Hamas members and backers were working at a heightened pace in metal workshops to produce more weaponry, to be better prepared for an outbreak of hostilities if and when the de facto cease-fire breaks down and the IDF again targets them.
i am trying to track down where they are getting their materials from now...
the rumors are that Iran began supplying them with higher quality materials thru Damascus....
On June 29, 2006, a Qassam that was apparently a new model landed in the city of Ashdod. Remains of a dud two engine or two-stage rocket were found.

The Israeli army said several Hezbollah rockets overnight had landed more than 20 kilometres south of the border, showing that Hezbollah has managed to extend its missiles' range.

Glass i agree.. i think there using the word missle to make them sound more like military strikes. If I were a betting man i would bet there is 0 accuracy on these things. Fact is if the thing makes it over the wall they hit there target.

I heard Newt on the radio whilst I was driving home in this sweltering heat. What I heard was amazing.. That idiot is yelling and screaming about getting tough with Iran, Syria and others.. enough with the appeasement he says... then he demands as an answer to what really looks like the begining of world war three... sanctions... F#CK!NG SANCTIONS???? I have tired... I eagerly await this doomsday that will topple all governments... including ours.

Oh that's right.. IT WAS EFFING GERMANY!!!!!!!
Do you know anything about the fighting on the eastern front in WW2? And about the aftermath of WW2 in eastern Europe. There is a deep hatered between German and Russian troops, when the two met it resulted in the most fiersome fighting anywhere. The Germans slaughtered the Russians by the 100s of thousands. At the end of the war many German officers surrendered their comands to the Americans with the hope that they could join us to fight the Russians some more.

i've seen several hopeful articles like this today:
maybe Iran has overstepped the line after all?
July 13, 2006, 7:49AM Russia, China to pursue Iran sanctions They join U.S., Europe in seeking a U.N. resolution ordering Tehran to halt nuclear work
By HELENE COOPER New York Times
PARIS - Russia and China, crossing a diplomatic threshold in the effort to curb Tehran's nuclear ambitions, joined the United States and Europe on Wednesday by agreeing to seek a U.N. Security Council resolution ordering Iran to freeze some nuclear activities, or face sanctions.
this is not the solution yet, BUT it looks like a move in the right direction

well, China doesn't want much... just Tawian... we may lose that...
Russia? they want money...they've really gone for capitalism in a big way.. i heard today that Moscow now has more billionaires than New York, or any other city...
this won't be a winner take all deal...
interesting: The youngest billionaire is also female. Hind Hariri, daughter of slain Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, is 22 years old and eight months younger than Germany's Prince Albert von Thurn und Taxis Forbes list of billionaires
