I'm not saying thier a scam. I'm saying that I'm back on the fence. up until today I have been nothing but a cheerleader. So if today I want to vent, I'm going to, I'm not expexting instant press releases, i don't expect them to brodcast tomorrow, but I did expect to see 1 ad already. I still own the Q. So if someone is having doubts do they have to shut-up and sell? I don't think so

Bob, pull your pants down and count to 21 if you need to!! just hang tight, this'll add up in the end! just remember, even if the PR says nothing except the name of one carrier, that's huge. When one goes, the others usually follow... it's like fare changes in the airline industry; nobody wants to be left behind.

Why are you "dogg'n" this stock? This is great news. Negotiations/contracts are time consuming and require constant give-and-take. Even a simple divorce takes twists and turns. We are being informed as it happens--as it has been already said, "Enjoy the ride." Go QBID

I bet CBS (owned by Viacom) assigned Dan to this convention because of LOGO. I'm sure he's there to speak about them. Now that I think about it, I'm not getting my hopes up for this one...

But the rest of the news is all good.

June 23, 2004 UPDATE 1min. 10sec. (est.)

Thank you for calling the Q Television Hotline.

Frank Olsen, our CEO, will be back in the office tomorrow. In the meantime, he has provided the following update:

Scott Seger, our Vice-president of advertising and John Daveny of Daveny Communications, our public relations firm, are representing us at the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist Association Annual Convention in New York today and tomorrow. During this time, they will meet with individual press publications.

Also, Barbara Lamont of Network Teleports, our satellite company, is attempting to set up a meeting privately with Dan Rather, who is a guest speaker at the convention.

We have reserved space in four major publications. What we actually say in these ads depends on how many signed contracts have been returned to us by the time of the advertising deadlines, and also what free coverage we get from the press at the Gay Journalist Convention.

Our next target is to inform you of our carriage companies and detailed information on our programming.

We are on schedule.

Have a nice day and thank you for calling.

Dan Rather is the ultimate newsman. If he smells a history-making, breaking story, he's there in person--he lives to be first. Here he's on Comcast CBS. Even a quick mention of QBID from him would be instant name recognition world wide. Hope she gets a word with him.

penny, winsum is correct! Dan Rather IS a guest speaker at the National Lesbian and Gay Journalist Association Annual Convention. If you did not hear that, then you need to listen to it again. Nothing was read into it, it was stated in the message. And if they can get a few words with him, it would be huge, so please stop trying to squash everything that's said.

needtoretire,
Most of the remaining holders of this stock on this board only want to hear positive things about their beloved QBID on which they are casting their hopes and dreams.
IMHO many are in denial.
I, as well as others, have posted enough of the negative information to let anyone not in denial to make a decision.

I made my decision a week ago last Friday. I sold all and I'm glad I did.
My posts were not intended as bashing but to let those willing to listen, know there is a very good chance of loosing all invested here.

The info is now out for everyone to see. Why would anyone want to make something up that could cause a stock to drop or maybe even the SEC to freeze trading on a stock?
Answer, they wouldn't make it up. There is nothing to gain by that. Everyone I saw posting the bad news has been around this stock for a long time and had plenty of time to buy cheap shares if that is what they were trying to do.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time saying this. Just hopeing some newbie can learn to not believe the hype they see on message boards.

I really hope you all make money instead of loosing it but I don't think that will happen here.

i'm positive on QBID, but i think even mentioning the name of dan rather is wrong until you have something concrete.
until you actually get an interview set up with him, thats not cool to talk about it.

i think that was very stupid of them to mention that.

May I just ask all of us:

Please, PLEASE do not get your hopes up about seeing Dan Rather mention QTV on the CBS Evening News. CBS is owned by Viacom, and he'll probably be speaking about Logo at the convention. I bet his bosses wouldn't even allow him to report on QTV.

I'd love for it to happen, but I'd hate to see more selling based on unrealistic expectations not being met... again.

Actually, since he's one of the guest speakers at a convention, it's standard practice to announce that you are going to try to get a few minutes to speak with him. They usually have time put aside for such things, and when they say "you have a minute" they really mean that you have about 20 seconds, so you'd better make it good.

I agree though, don't get your hopes up about seeing Dan Rather reporting on the Q. That won't happen. The most you'll see is Dan's response to "did you know that Logo isn't first, but Q Television is?"... which will probably be something like "No, I didn't. Thanks."... and that will probably NOT be aired on a major network. It'll be in a small gay publication. JMHO though.

Okay, two out of the three things in the Press release are great, the other is wishful thinking. Why are you even harping on the Dan Rather thing, who cares...

What is important is the convention in New York and the advertising campaign. This will bring us the plublicity we need!

I don't know why they said the thing about Dan Rather, seeing how he is under Viacom but who knows...

The bigger issue is the convention... In my opinion.

The convention will be on the news in New York and other cities--with or without Dan Rather. Yes, it would be great if our Barbara could meet with their Barbara to arrange a private meeting with Dan, but QBID will get publicity regardless of how that plays. Anything is possible with contracts still in the working stage. There are so very many, many possibities. . . . QBID is a demand product--also, this is an election year. Dan seems to have an interest in politics--Clinton on last Sunday.

Hey white... welcome! If you haven't visited it yet, there's a QBID tally thread... everyone's posting their share number just for fun... and to get an idea of how many shares are represented just from allstocks..

there's also a planned Vegas party once the stock takes off.. but it might have to be registered with the Nevada Boxing Commision! (there's been a little drama on the thread lately!)..

Convention info -

JUNE 19, 2004

LESBIAN & GAY JOURNALISTS CONVENE IN NEW YORK

NLGJA National Convention to host
Dan Rather, Margaret Carlson, David Brock and Ted Allen

June 24-27, New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

New York, NY (June 19, 2004) – Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender journalists will gather in New York from June 24 through June 27 for the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) 2004 National Convention. This year’s theme – “Out on the Town” – will focus on the massive news coverage in the past year of LGBT civil rights, including marriage of same-sex couples.

The convention will host some of the nation’s top names in journalism and media, including CBS News’ Dan Rather, CNN’s Margaret Carlson, author David Brock and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” food and wine expert Ted Allen. In addition, CBS’s Harry Smith and The Poynter Institute’s ethicist Kelly McBride will examine continuing newsroom ethical challenges in plenary sessions at the convention.

The four-day gathering will draw hundreds of journalists from mainstream and LGBT media to discuss topics that include politics in a presidential election year, HIV/AIDS, the arts, emerging communities within LGBT culture, and journalistic ethics.

The 2004 NLGJA Convention will take place at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge (333 Adams Street, Brooklyn). NLGJA’s executive director, Pamela Strother, noted that up to 650 LGBT journalists and news industry leaders are expected to attend, adding, “Our presenters, workshops and plenary sessions promise to make this one of the most compelling conventions ever.” NLGJA leaders Barbara Dozetos and David Steinberg served as this year’s convention programming co-chairs. Mykel MacCarthy and Maria Baugh are the New York Host Committee co-chairs.

David Brock, author of four political books, including the newly released The Republican Noise Machine: Right-Wing Media and How It Corrupts Democracy will take the stage Friday from 4:30-5:45pm for a special plenary, “Conversation with a Newsmaker.” Garret Glaser, correspondent, CNBC Business News will interview Brock about his new organization, Media Matters for America, and his years as a conservative media insider.

Evan Wolfson, executive director of Freedom to Marry, will review the latest developments and future activity of marriage for same-sex couples, which has dominated headlines for months. Before founding Freedom to Marry, Wolfson was co-counsel in the historic Hawaii marriage case, Baehr v. Miike.

“No other convention delivers as high-quality content examining the coverage of LGBT issues,” said NLGJA president Steven Petrow. “In a year of unprecedented coverage of LGBT issues, NLGJA is uniquely qualified to distill and bring expert focus on LGBT politicians, the national political landscape, marriage, gay youth, health care and HIV/AIDS, as well as the extremely important issues facing transgender people in our society.” Petrow is Senior Vice-President, Editorial Director and Group Publisher for Waterfront Media.

The opening breakfast plenary promises a splash of news attention for the 2004 election cycle with “Asking and Telling: How the LGBT Debate Is Changing Politics,” featuring Rather, Carlson and David A. Sirulnick, Executive Vice President, News & Production, MTV.

NLGJA hosts its first-ever LGBT Media Summit with tracks of panels on Thursday, June 24, on topics relevant to journalists who work in the LGBT press. Featured speakers include Leslie Feinberg, Evan Wolfson and Michelangelo Signorile.

The National Convention is hosted by the New York Chapter of NLGJA, with speakers and participants from most major U.S. newspapers and television and radio outlets as well as LGBT-owned media and new media services.

A partial list of this year’s speakers and participants include:

Dan Rather, Anchor and Managing Editor, CBS Evening News & Correspondent, 60 Minutes II

Hello pharmdman... and thank you for your welcome. I have posted on the QBID tally of my holdings since 02/09/04 with a total of 5,250,000 shares I totally believe in this company. I have been reviewing all pr's and everything about this company. I firmly believe it is our time... WE WILL LAUNCH! All we have to do is take a look at all there promises and projections over the past several months and it clearly states this is a good viable company, and yes just like anything in life we must take a risk to get ahead. But people take a look and see the potential - It's there - Yes we can be subduable, but that is a choice and I choose to believe.... Good luck to you all... I'm holding strong............

In addition to motion pictures, documentaries and series, Q Television Network, will go into the communities and report the news that is vital to it's members. With the new bureaus available to Q Television worldwide, QTN plans to be the 1st Gay/Lesbian network of choice.

You may contact the offices of Q Television Network at 760-323-4455 and speak
with Steven Grunberg or Frank Olsen for further information.

Here is one of the latest news releases RE: Q Television Network

Q Television Network Has Arrived: New Gay Family Television Network Showcases its Unique Perspective Prior to Public Launch
5/26/2004 6:00:00 AM

NEW ORLEANS, May 26, 2004, (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID), headquartered in California, announces the launch of a subscriber channel for the gay and lesbian community in July 2004. An industry soft launch for carriers and advertisers begins June 1, 2004.

"It has taken more than seven years and millions of dollars to arrive at this day," says president and chairman Frank Olsen. "Clearly, the time to launch this network is now, and I am confident that the gay and lesbian community will embrace the unique perspective we offer as a family channel."

In a pre-public move to preview a sample of its programming to cable and satellite industry professionals, as well as potential advertisers, Q Television Network will offer a compressed daily broadcast that includes featured programs. The sample highlights Q Television's availability for carriage and sponsorship.

As executive vice president Steven Grunberg notes, "This is built by and for the gay community. Rather than a smattering of stereotyped gay characters offered because current market projections indicate it would be profitable, we offer a channel that will unite the gay and lesbian audience through a network that educates, entertains and informs - a network of real value."

Beginning June 1, the network will be available for viewing on Intelsat America's 1A-7, Transponder C1 at downlink frequency 3731.425 MHz Horizontal. 129 degrees West. Channel 1.

Olsen, an entrepreneur with a significant background in broadcasting, was instrumental in the launch of The Movie Channel prior to its acquisition by Showtime. A pioneer in the development of new radio broadcast formats throughout his 40-year career, Olsen helped create African American radio and started the first gay radio stations.

"Just as CNN had tremendous hurdles to overcome, Frank and Q Television Network have had an uphill battle in the launch of Q Television," observes CFO Rene Schenk. "Q Television is positioned to successfully meet the demand that exists for a gay family channel."

Original and Acquired Programming

With a system of production crews throughout the United States, Q Television Network will offer a combination of original and acquired programming, which includes sports, fashion, travel, health & fitness, talk shows, plays, documentaries and movies. Teams of producers and directors will also bring breaking stories of interest to the network's audience via access to bureaus in Washington, DC, New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Jerusalem and Iraq.

A preview of original programming premiered in May at the National Cable & Telecommunication Association's annual industry conference and was also included in a successful five-hour sample broadcast on May 15, which aired on Cox Cable in Louisiana and Comcast in the Puget Sound Region.

Included in that preview was "I Will, I Do, We Did," an original Q Television documentary exploring gay and lesbian marriage in America that offers an inside glimpse of the challenges faced by this community. Independent films, such as "An Intimate Friendship" and the award-winning "Straightman," are other examples of what will be available on the network, as well as commercial fare such as Bette Midler's "Divine Madness" concert.

About Q Television Network

This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be composed of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

For more information regarding carriage and advertising opportunities, contact the network at 760-323-4455 to talk with Frank Olsen or Steven Grunberg. http://www.qtelevision.com/

Programming will initially be limited to a few sitcom reruns, documentaries, and movies (The Wizard of Oz, anyone?), but watch the competition; Bravo and Showtime have beefed up ratings with gay-friendly fare, and Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone has ordered MTV to accelerate plans for the launch of its own gay channel.

This was what I was trying to say. SIRI is only a radio network! They have 1.5 billion OS, haven't reported a profit, trading at $3 a share & they're not even the front runner. XMSR is trading over $20 & they too have never reported a profit.

Even if we were to trade on par with a radio network (SIRI) & have all of our 15 billion authorised shares outstanding that would put us at .30 a share.

But then I remind myself,,,

"Self, Broadcasting National TV Networks do not trade for less than $1 a share!"

And while I'm at it,,,

"Hey self! Don't forget,,,"

"All we have to do is launch!"
