As far as a phone slip up goes, Frank mentioned it twice. The equipment required to launch today compared to even 5 years ago is a fraction. Her posts sound very different from everyone else. I've been here since Feb or so now and have seen people come and go (U4). I think there are people on this board (REALITY) are genuinely care to see us all succeed. This is a very efficient operation. As far as I know, they actually own very little or no equipment. Apparently, just about everything involved either outsourced or leased. An IP is specific to a user's location (varies by home), unless you connect via a public ethernet (which would change every time you sign on) or you just use different public locations to sign on each time.
