Those that questioned and judged are not the same ones that appreciated. In this world, there are the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY. I want to say thanks to those that share information.

If we are going to move past this, both sides, those for and against Di, need to let it die down and get back to QBID. Let it die Dog and make your own decisions whether you want to help people or not

I agree Diesel. I'm really happy there's plenty of alooft people out there that want to chime in & let us know we're acting like kids. Maybe someday I'll get a chance to courageously sit on the sidelines & critique everyone else.

Until then I'll just keep mt focus.

"All we have to do is launch!"

Alright, I have a serious concern:
Whose cruel idea was it for the word "lisp" to have an "s" in it?

lol...sorry, that's the last one, I promise!

When does everyone else expect the next PR??
I'm expecting maayybe next Friday when everyone gets back, but more likely the Monday after that (the 14th). Until then, I don't think we'll see very much activity on Q.

Smctbone, I don't recall anyone asking you to stop.

So, did nobody like my little tribute to the Q launching? I guess I'm lacking the validation I so require. Where's Booty? He always likes my stuff.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! You ROCK!! Thanks for your art, my friend.

Sorry, I've been out working today. Also, since people took too long to convince me not to sell yesterday, I caved and sold all my Q @ .0141. I'll be back next week.

I'm totally excited about CMKX right now. I'm up 300% in a week on my first purchase and up 33% today on my new purchase. I love how IBC radio calls it the next QBID!

Q TELEVISION NETWORK ANNOUNCES

A new network about the Gay and Lesbian experiences will be available for carriage July 1, 2004, in your territories. I find this to be exciting information.

A compressed broadcast day is available for viewing through the end of June on Satellite 1A-7, Transponder C1 at downlink frequency 3731.425 MHz Horizontal. 129 Degrees West. Channel 1.

In addition to motion pictures, documentaries and series, Q television Network (QTN) will go into the communities and report the news that is vital to it's members. With the new bureaus available to Q Television worldwide, QTN plans to be the 1st Gay/Lesbian network of choice.

You may contact the offices of Q Television at 760-323-4455 and speak
with Steven Grunberg or Frank Olsen for further information.

Here is one of the latest news releases RE: Q Television.

Q Television Has Arrived: New Gay Family Television
Network Showcases its Unique Perspective Prior to Public Launch
5/26/2004 6:00:00 AM

NEW ORLEANS, May 26, 2004, (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Q. Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID), headquartered in California, announces the launch of a subscriber channel for the gay and lesbian community in July 2004. An industry soft launch for carriers and advertisers begins June 1, 2004.

"It has taken more than seven years and millions of dollars to arrive at this day," says president and chairman Frank Olsen. "Clearly, the time to launch this network is now, and I am confident that the gay and lesbian community will embrace the unique perspective we offer as a family channel."

In a pre-public move to preview a sample of its programming to cable and satellite industry professionals, as well as potential advertisers, Q. Television Network will offer a compressed daily broadcast that includes featured programs. The sample highlights Q Television's availability for carriage and sponsorship.

As executive vice president Steven Grunberg notes, "This is built by and for the gay community. Rather than a smattering of stereotyped gay characters offered because current market projections indicate it would be profitable, we offer a channel that will unite the gay and lesbian audience through a network that educates, entertains and informs - a network of real value."

Beginning June 1, the network will be available for viewing on Intelsat America's 1A-7, Transponder C1 at downlink frequency 3731.425 MHz Horizontal. 129 degrees West. Channel 1.

Olsen, an entrepreneur with a significant background in broadcasting, was instrumental in the launch of The Movie Channel prior to its acquisition by Showtime. A pioneer in the development of new radio broadcast formats throughout his 40-year career, Olsen helped create African American radio and started the first gay radio stations.

"Just as CNN had tremendous hurdles to overcome, Frank and Q Television Network have had an uphill battle in the launch of Q Television," observes CFO Rene Schenk. "Q Television is positioned to successfully meet the demand that exists for a gay family channel."

Original and Acquired Programming

With a system of production crews throughout the United States, Q Television Network will offer a combination of original and acquired programming, which includes sports, fashion, travel, health & fitness, talk shows, plays, documentaries and movies. Teams of producers and directors will also bring breaking stories of interest to the network's audience via access to bureaus in Washington, DC, New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Jerusalem and Iraq.

A preview of original programming premiered in May at the National Cable & Telecommunication Association's annual industry conference and was also included in a successful five-hour sample broadcast on May 15, which aired on Cox Cable in Louisiana and Comcast in the Puget Sound Region.

Included in that preview was "I Will, I Do, We Did," an original Q Television documentary exploring gay and lesbian marriage in America that offers an inside glimpse of the challenges faced by this community. Independent films, such as "An Intimate Friendship" and the award-winning "Straightman," are other examples of what will be available on the network, as well as commercial fare such as Bette Midler's "Divine Madness" concert.

About Q Television Network

This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be composed of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

For more information regarding carriage and advertising opportunities, contact the network at 760-323-4455 to talk with Frank Olsen or Steven Grunberg. http://www.qtelevision.com

I hope you find this information as informative, interesting and exciting as I do.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my letter.

Thank you all. I feel better now.

Re: CNBC, all I've gotten so far is an automated thank you from Kudlow-Cramer.

Yeah, CMKX ROCKS! (Pun intended) But I'm fairly certain QBID will soon be taking center stage and supplying the adrenaline rush again.

In reading the TEN THOUSAND or so posts to this thread (and the various variations of this thread) over the course of the past 2 month's, there are only 4 things we know for sure :

1. - QBID had a booth at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association convention May 1 thru May 5, 2004

2. - QBID succesfully completed a five-hour test broadcast on Saturday, May 15th throughout all of North America.

3. - On June 1, 2004--Q Television Network had a successful Industry Launch to potential carriers and advertisers on Intelsat America's 7, 129 degrees West, Channel 1, Q Television.

4. - ...and finally, that Betting Babe is DDG !!!

Go QBID!!

I hear ya, I feel naked without my Q shares. My real goal is to wait the three days till settlement so i can transfer all the money over to my new Freetrade account, so i won't have to call in to place Q-orders and the trades are free! I hope i can do it this time. I failed twice already, cuz Q started going up and i bought back in too early,

CMKX should hit .0005 any minute now. There's only 1 MM at ask-.0004!!!

ORIGINAL POST FROM ANOTHER BOARD:

THIS IS AN EXCERT FROM THE LAST PR. I TOLD YOU TO READ CAREFULLY.

As a result, network executives will travel to New York City June 6 - 11 to meet with private equity funds, hedge funds and securities dealers. All of these firms have indicated a strong interest in the upcoming launch and the opportunity for equity participation.

In addition, the executives also have appointments scheduled with cable companies and advertisers to present the current direction of Q Television Network.

"We anticipated that the soft launch would generate lots of inquiries regarding the availability of Q Television for carriage and advertising," notes president Frank Olsen. "Yet we were amazed how quickly everything has moved forward within the past 24 hours."

The network expects to announce major contracts within the coming weeks.

I agree with you entirely! The o/s is huge but a good chunck of it could be taken out fairly quickly by these hedgefunds and securities dealers. Looks like we could be very green in the coming weeks!

We have a lot of O/S..... but at our PPS it is absolutely NOTHING for Wall St. investors. Plus our potential for revenue is HUGE. I am looking forward to July and to watch things progress. Cheers to a future that could be green!

And already up to .0149 this morning

I believe they did say that there was a buyback in place. I'm almost positive I saw it in a PR. Regardless once this company announces major contracts this could easily see $0.05-$0.10 before the Hard launch based on who they get contracts from even if the O/S is 7.5 Billion. I'm sure much of the float is being held onto by people like myself who bought millions of shares at $0.0002.

PLEASE FOLKS--BASH ME AND BEAT ME--BUT LISTEN AND READ. I AM BUYING AS MUCH OF THIS STOCK THAT I POSSIBLY CAN.

THIS Q TELEVISION STOCK WILL LAUNCH. IMHO

Well as expected it had its typical bounce off of the 50 DMA. It's almost too easy to predict, which is why I bought more yesterday. Anyways check out the rising stochastics on this beauty. This is in a strong consolidation pattern and a break of $0.0155, will launch this beauty again passed $0.02 again. This same thing happened when this was lying dormant between $0.0025 and $0.0040. Not to mention the expected contract news within a couple of weeks. This is setting up very nice.

Same thing with ONEV@10 cents..and gzfx below 9 cents and cirt@.055-57..and CTKH@.0020-22..hummm...should I continue.. lol

You got that right. I actually first purchased more at $0.0108 then again at $0.0121, this all on top of my first by at $0.0002. I also recently played ONEV like you said at $0.095 and I bought GZFX in the 9's recently because I didn't have funds available at the time and just sold that to buy in lower.

Also love the Grey Goose Martini's myself....Mmmmmmm

Controversy engulfs France's first gay wedding

BEGLES, France (Reuters) - A French mayor defied Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin Friday by vowing to press ahead with France's first gay wedding, stoking a controversy that is set to rage on after the couple say "I do."

The two men who plan to wed Saturday in the southwestern town of Begles near Bordeaux have gone into hiding from the media. Conservatives and gay lobby groups plan protests, and extra police have been brought in for fear of scuffles.

Begles mayor Noele Mamere has been accompanied by two personal body guards for the past month because of threats against him. He shrugged off Raffarin's warning that officials who perform gay weddings would be breaking the law.

"I will go ahead with this marriage," said Mamere, a Green Party member of parliament who says violating the law is sometimes the only way to change it.

He said he would lodge an appeal if the wedding between Bertrand Charpentier and Stephane Chapin is annulled and take the case to the European Court of Human Rights if necessary.

Justice Minister Dominique Perben says the marriage will be invalid.

Raffarin told parliament this week that French law does not permit marriage between people of the same sex and said any officials performing gay weddings would "incur the punishment laid out by the law."

The wedding is France's first between a gay couple although laws already allow civil unions between homosexuals. Gays say this is a bad deal in terms of tax, inheritance and parenting rights.

Hi Diana,
I have reached the NBC Studio in New York this afternoon for the Tonight Show.
The lady I spoke with was a real sweetheart. I explained to her that Jay Leno has
made quite a few remarks about the gay/lesbian community getting there own channel
which is LOGO/MTV. I explained to her Triangle Multi Media is doing there soft
launch right now and will be going full blast on July 1st. I don't know if I detected it
right, but she did sound excited. So this is what she told me to do:

Give a little exert about the programming and do not e-mail. She stated they get so
many e-mails in a day's time, they usually just get over looked. She gave me an
address to send it to and it will get noticed.

The Tonight Show
ATTN: Monologue Department
3000 West Alameda
Burbank, CA 91523

The phone # I have is 818-840-2222.....and they answer it has "The Tonight Show."

This is my actual 1st DD and you don't know how good this is making me feel.

I also have the # for the David Letterman Show. I called, but no answer. I am going to try that again later. If I am not mistaking, they tape his show at 5:30 with it's 5:00 now there. Wish me luck.

Just doin' some DD, this link to a Gay product survey may provide you with a few interesting cut & paste items to send to potential advertisers concerning the power of the Q!

it has often been said, but I'll say it again!

"All we have to do is Lunch!"

"What's all this fuss about lunch?"

Oh, & if my dog Baxter watches the Animal Planet(& he DOES!)...
is that proof that Gays will watch QTV?

I am brand new at all this and have a few questions if you don't mind. First off I don't fully understand what all is involved by due diligence, what all does an experienced trader do when investigating a company? And where do you get the company names from? I want to get started but am unsure of just how to get going. From what I've seen so far on the web you on this site are by far the most helpful and friendly, that's why I chose this one to ask my questions. Thank you and good luck to you all.

Thanks for your concern winpennies! I spend more time lurking than posting. Even though I'm heavily invested in Q and live only 1.5 hours from Palm Springs (even spent 4 days in Rancho Mirage a few weeks ago) and regularily visit friends there, I believe in Q so much that I've never even considered visting the home office. This board is more of an "extra" for me to see what the rest of our community is saying about Q. Rest assured that the Q buzz in So Cal is loud and every investor I know and speak to here has a staked interest in Q. We believe in Q and what it can offer and bring to our community.

The thought of early retirement is also nice!

Nice going, Mrs. Deg! Going straight for the horse's mouth is a great idea. Man, if the late night guys would mention the Q, that would be sweet. I'm a bit confused, though. Do you want us to proof-read this letter to Diana, or is there a letter to the late night shows that you want us to critique? We haven't seen that yet. Your letter to Diana is just fine.

Here’s some brief info about starting a TV network

Before I start, you have to know that I’m Canadian and some of the regulations are different…

First, you need a license. Since they’re already sending a signal through a satellite, I’m sure they have one.

Then, you need transmission equipment. An average studio can cost 500K to 1000K$.

You need to rent bandwidth from a satellite provider. Times were hard for them in the recent years cause they sent many satellite in orbit but not that much demand. It might be possible to have a good deal for the next few years…but not more I think. First, because a satellite life is around 10 years and second (and someone could verify), I don’t think that many satellite were launched recently. More, the need for large bandwidth is getting stronger (HD TV, ultra high speed Internet). A yearly lease for satellite bandwidth can be from 100K to 1000K$.

After that, you need content. Every TV station has 3 kinds of content: home production, special order to external production company and licensing (syndication I think you call it). Home production is time consuming and sometimes more expensive than expected… but you can sell it to International market, if you make a hit, and revenue can come from it for many years. External production is at least 10K to 20K per 30 minutes. It can easily get to a Million an episode (Star Trek for example) if you have well known comedian, exotic location, special effects, etc. Licensing is the cheapest. You can fill in all the blank in your daily programming with episode that cost 1000$ and more every 30 minutes. The TV schedule for a specialized network usually has 6 hours of original content a day and 3 X 6 hours of reruns. The best is to put the original programs between 6pm and 11pm. Then you mix the reruns to get has many possible people watching your program. For example, Friday night at 6pm you have something. You play it again on Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning and Monday late night.

While you are signing letter of intent with producer, buying syndicated program and producing your own, you tried to get interest from distributors: cable, satellite, etc. If your transmission signal is good, is your business plan is attractive and if you can provide with at least 75% of your daily programming to come, in the last month before going on air, they will sign you a contract with X% of money from subscriber to come. This money only comes if you have subscriber…of course.

Ok, so all that is costly, time consuming and without any certainty of having people watching. That’s when your sales and advertisement department comes to the rescue. They have to get advertiser. They cannot sell real stats cause you’re not on air…and if you didn’t sign any contract with cable, etc., you cannot provide an estimate of the people that will be watching the first month. So you sell on expectation with an open contract. If you get that many people watching, you get that much money (approx. 30$/1000 persons/30 sec.). The money only comes 90 days after the first ad is on air.

Once launch, a TV station that works fine usually can make profit by the third year (average of any new co. anyway…no surprise here). Specialize TV station can be worth 3M to 5M$ without making any profit…but being well administrated because it’s hard to start a station and it takes time. If you have a few Millions in your pocket and want to start a new channel, it’s a lot easier and faster to buy one already there…

Now, why would I sell my shares or why would I buy more.

Talking only about trades, it would be important to know the OS. Now that we roughly now what it will cost and what it could be worth. It’s now possible the calculate the PPS.

Since we’re less than a month before “hard launch”, we should have a PR to give us an idea of the daily programming (at least 75%), another telling us with what distributor they are about to sign (so people can subscribe) and another telling us who is in charge of sales and advertising so anyone interested in placing an ad could contact that person.

Having not heard from any of this, I sold 80% of my portfolio. I will buy back if we get those infos. It’s very common to have many things at the last minute…but right now, I feel that there is too many things for them to do and so little time. It must be crazy right now. It is when all that I’ve just mentionned is done…just imagine when it’s not.

But hey, maybe they just haven’t had time to release an official PR yet (or I missed it), if you know something, please let me know. My first calculation (back a few months ago with the info I had at that time) was that we could hit .10 with Q. Right now, I’m not sure it’s worth more than the price it’s been going the last few weeks. Maybe .025 to .03 with the anticipation and speculation. (this is only my feeling..please do your DD)

Many more to say but I’ll stop here for tonight. If you have question, let me know. Many of you know how to contact me.

Malloy

NB. I haven’t been to the Q thread because the last few messages I read (last week) were just hate mail. I hope the mood has changed. We’re all here to make money and to help each other. We have an unfair battle to fight everyday against MM. It is hard enough.

Have a nice weekend. Call your friends. Have fun with the kids. Make love.
