G-invest, I will make you a deal, when you sit in my office and pay my monthly obligations from "your" bank account, then you can be concerned about how or where I invest the money. But until I see you paying my bills it will remain my concern how and why I invest what I make.

Instead of wasting time on this board, why don't you go stand in front of the Mirage or the Bellagio in Vegas and hold up a sign telling everyone going in that the odds are rigged against them and they shouldn't place any bets. Go save the world over there.

CHICAGO, IL – Chicago organizers of Gay Games VII today announced the signing of a contract with the California-based Q Television Network (Pink Sheets:QBID) granting the new gay network television, radio and Internet broadcast rights in a deal valued at more than $3.2 million. Gay Games VII Sports and Cultural Festival will take place in Chicago, IL, USA, 15-22 July 2006.
The Q Television/Gay Games VII deal is for $1.7 million in cash plus more than $1.5 million in advertising and programming benefits, making the partnership worth more than $3.2 million, the largest-ever sponsorship of an event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The contract, signed Dec. 3, 2004, grants Q Television Internet, radio and television broadcast rights and provides for joint development of Gay Games-related programming, broadcast advertising of the Gay Games from now through 2006, and live and taped coverage of the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago. (All sums are in US dollars.)
As part of the deal, Q Television, a paid cable network, will unscramble its signal during the week of the Gay Games, ensuring broad-based access to the pageantry of the ceremonies, exciting sporting competitions, inspiring cultural and arts offerings, and the warmth and beauty of Chicago. Q Television will also serve as the agent for the worldwide redistribution of television, radio and Internet broadcast rights, allowing for access beyond Q Television’s cable footprint, especially in international markets. The media rights sold do not prohibit standard news coverage.
"The Q Television Network is proud to now be the broadcast home of the Gay Games,” said Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. “This is a major contract for Q Television. Lesbian and gay sports are a crucial part of the LGBT community and the Gay Games are the worldwide expression of the best in amateur sport. The Gay Games in Chicago will be a monumental event for the worldwide gay and lesbian community and we are thrilled to be the only television network to have an exclusive contract. We look forward to telling the stories of these amazing athletes and artists to our viewers."
“Our partnership with Q Television will ensure international visibility for the Gay Games movement throughout the next two years,” said Tracy Baim, Chicago Games, Inc. (CGI) Co-Vice Chair. “With integrated programming scheduled to take place throughout the months leading up to Gay Games VII in Chicago, Q Television Network will earn the title ‘Network of the Gay Games’.” CGI’s negotiation team included Baim, attorney Gary Medler of Hinshaw & Culbertson, and CGI Co-Chairs Sam Coady and Suzanne Arnold. The broadcast relationship was initiated by Plan B, Chicago’s primary corporate sponsorship development firm with offices in Los Angeles, Montreal and London.
Kathleen Webster, co-president of the international Federation of Gay Games, expressed excitement about the deal and the Chicago team. “This is the largest corporate partner ever to sponsor the Gay Games, and we are very excited at how quickly Chicago has secured major sponsorship for Gay Games VII. Having already surpassed corporate sponsorship totals for all of Gay Games VI in Sydney in 2002, CGI is on track to meet or exceed all financial projections,” said Webster. Earlier this year, Chicago announced that PlanetOut, Inc. (Nasdaq: LGBT) had become a Premium sponsor of the 2006 Gay Games for $1.06 million, which, until the Q Television announcement, was the largest corporate support for an LGBT sporting event ever.
Q Television can be found on the cable network RCN (channel 255) in New York, Boston and San Francisco with distribution following in additional cities across the USA. It is currently the home for such original programming as “Q on the Move,” a travelogue of gay-friendly places, people and events; “WOW! Women on Women,” a lesbian talk show, and “Q the Music,” a variety program of current music videos geared toward the gay and lesbian community. For further information on programming and subscriptions, please visit www.qtelevision.com.

A television market is a television market. There is no other way to perceive what this means. NYC is the largest, then LA, Chicago, Philly, Boston, SF, etc.
It will take a DISH or DTV deal to reach that number of markets I would guess.

there is a forward looking statement at teh bottom of every pr.
they have to prove he didnt do any of these things.
we have not seen the audit, the books or any other documents.
he very well could have bought back 3% and sold 100%.
this complaint wont go anywhere.
I have seen complaints go into the SEC about the Q with much more info that that complaint and yet nothing happened.
People need to relax and calm down. We all invested into a pink stock, fully knowing the risks that we all took.
Why am i not worried about this?
because i have not invested any more then i can afford to loose.
those that are getting these letters together and emailing the SEC have thrown way more then they could afford to loose into a pink. As sad as that may be, they are freaking out now and can not think clearly because they are paniced.
I feel for them, but i cant feel sorry for them.
I have peace knowing that this company is growing and in time this stock will show its true price valuation.
i still remain hopeful that Jenn is correct, but will not be surprised if we dont see it till Dec 15-22

What if Q has to have 150 markets(whatever they are) only during the games. Like a special broadcast. What do I know any way, I hate defending this. Actually just expressing an idea.

While it's appropriate to hold a CEO accountable, the letter writing could very well backfire, people need to be rational and think their actions through, as was mentioned earlier today, once the bullet is fired you can't take it back.

Rod,
One other point to show on this commnet of yours. The people who are panicing are also listening to those who constantly bash this stock and posting false or partial info. G-invest is a good example. Although he is entitled to post his oppinion, he makes false quotes, twists them and then goes on a rampage to make everyone believe everything he says by way of bullying.Hefty style but common practice.
Everyone, claims of utter knowledge of the market and here to protect everyone by a certain group should be the obvious. U4 is a good example. Pumped then bashed the crap out of Q mean while he was fired from his job for offering bad advice as a broker. Is this the type of info people should rely on? You need to judge for yourself.
Others who come here and throw in their negative comments also make me laugh. Brand new posters and there seems to be a lot of them recently.
As I said before, relax, the Christmas season is here! and no, this is not a pump G, it is a reality check for those you have running scared from you continuous badgering.

That's exactly what I have predicted will happen. They make a bunch of agreements to be on in 150+ markets, but they are only good for the entirety of the games.
It just sounds like something that would happen to us.

NYC is a market. Check out the link. There is no breakdown for the burroughs, as there wouldn't be b/c they are served by the same network tv stations.

i do believe that the 150 markets are already set up. and i have always felt that the 150 would only have to be for the duration of the games.
however, if we get one satallite company then we are in many more markets then 150. no worries.
we will be there.

It seems to me that something to worry about rather than Frank's honesty (etc) in Frank's health. I'm not so sure I've seen a company so dependent upon that factor.
Perhaps I'm totally wrong but if so then maybe someone here can tell me if there is a QUALIFIED Q executive that shadows Frank and ready to step in if something, fate forbid, happened to Frank, ie health.

Someone posted the question why would anyone pay for Q tv when there are so many gay TV shows on regular TV?
Looking at the future, we may see fewer gay TV shows as they might be squeezed out. Christian content (no offense to those intended here) are recently taking over TV and now taking a run at the box office.
PBS is litterly being saturated with Christian content.

this company is not dependant on Franks health. fact of the matter is if Frank died tomorrow the price may actually start to move up.
you kill me on one hand you say that Frank is the sole reason the price is so low and that he should step down, then on the next tangent you state the company is dependant on Franks health? You are obviously grasping at straws.
but you are entitled to your opinion, so have at it.
