And while you weren't looking:

A stock, is only as good as the company, and it's market/objectives, and is only as good as the management that runs it....
So,
A = business plan/companies market/objectves
(potential income) per year
B = obtainable market share (potentially, 5bill) per year
C = actual market share per year
D = debt/expenses per month (burn rate)
E = Gross revenue per year
F = Net revenue per year

So, if A = 5bill, then
B = 5000000000
C = companies shareof market...let's say 1%
1% of 5bill = 50000000
D = 1mill x 12 = 12mill (approximate burn rate, per month)
E = 12mill
F = 50000000 - 12000000 = 38000000

This leaves an unaudited income of
38mill per year (assuming 1%)

G = A/S (shares) = 50000000000 (assumed)
H = F / G = 38000000 / 50000000000 = 0.00076

H = 0.00076 per share, based on income

This doesn't take into account, other income, assets or potential market cap. You decide. (It's all congecture and hypothessis, and) JMHO, take it or leave it....GLTA...

Oh, and BTW, it's 60BILL now, as someone pointed out....that would make it just about right for how the MM's are playing this.....GLTA....

Here is another source about the planetout/qtv deal. Same info, just different interview apparently.

And a revision......
Now we're looking at 60bill vs. 50 bill, assuming same....

A stock, is only as good as the company, and it's market/objectives, and is only as good as the management that runs it....
So,
A = business plan/companies market/objectves
(potential income) per year
B = obtainable market share (potentially, 5bill) per year
C = actual market share per year
D = debt/expenses per month (burn rate)
E = Gross revenue per year
F = Net revenue per year

So, if A = 5bill, then
B = 5000000000
C = companies shareof market...let's say 1%
1% of 5bill = 50000000
D = 1mill x 12 = 12mill (approximate burn rate, per month)
E = 12mill
F = 50000000 - 12000000 = 38000000

This leaves an unaudited income of
38mill per year (assuming 1%)

G = A/S (shares) = 60000000000 (assumed)
H = F / G = 38000000 / 60000000000 = 0.00063

H = 0.00063 per share, based on income

This doesn't take into account, other income, assets or potential market cap. You decide. (It's all congecture and hypothessis, and) JMHO, take it or leave it....GLTA...

I love my SIRI radio.

I disagree. The Q is media...it's core function is to create content specific to its intended audience. Eyeballs=Subscription and Ad Rev$$$...increased PPS.

You get those eyeballs by attracting interest. I've listened to Takei on Howard Stern before and he is a pretty charismatic--albeit eccentric--guest to have.

To me, this type of content is also sex-agnostic...i'm hetero but like to see interviews and updates from folks like Takei because I grew up watching Star Trek and have always been a fan, and not because of his sexual preference.

If The Q was avail in DC--specifically on Comcast--i'd buy a monthtly subscription much like I have after i invested in SIRI. I suspect many are in the same boat.

Have a good night all. Let's hope we hear some noise in the next few days...

Way off topic but important none the less

this is our prime minister that legalisied gay marriage in canada

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051129/ap_on_re_ca/canada_elections

TORONTO - A corruption scandal forced a vote of no-confidence Monday that toppled Prime Minister Paul Martin's minority government, triggering an unusual election campaign during the Christmas holidays.

ADVERTISEMENT

Canada's three opposition parties, which control a majority in Parliament, voted against Martin's government, claiming his Liberal Party no longer has the moral authority to lead the nation

Richard confirmed was that the Authorized shares have been increased to 60 Billion, not that the Outstanding Shares had been increased. In the email posted by QBID'n November 28, 2005 14:46 Richard stated:
quote:
Yes, The Company amended the A/S to 60 billion from 50 billion and I'm
told by Frank that it is to be used as collateral IF the bid on Mary Hartman is accepted.

He also quoted what Frank had said and then said:
quote:
This specifically states he will not raise the O/S w/out shareholder
approval - It says nothing about amending the A/S for preparation. With
due respect, in business you must be prepared if an opportunity presents
itself.

Now, if Frank does not come to shareholders with the vote if he
purchases MH then you have an argument, but as of now he has done
nothing wrong.

I know that normally when the A/S increased, it is followed shortly thereafter by an increase in the O/S, but it doesn’t have to happen that way. We have been told, and I choose to believe that Frank got the A/S increased “to be used as collateral IF the bid on Mary Hartman is accepted.”

I don’t know how, but I know that it is possible, and that is what he said he would do. Maybe I’m gullible, but I like to believe people are honest until they prove me wrong.

Sam, Good luck but as long as this stock gives no mailings to the shareholders imo it is a crap shoot.
I have been in for almost 2 years and have sold none. Down on paper but have seen gowth within the network. Still want to see what I own. QBID needs to report.

Thanks. I don't think we’re that different; I have been invested in QBID stock since May of 2004 and have watched my initial investment drop by -93.2% without selling a single share, so I understand how it feels to be down (quite a bit) on paper.

Knowing that the network is real and growing very well is what keeps me going and I will soon get my chance to see what I am invested in as I recently received the new channel lineup for Cox San Diego and see that QTN will be on channel 399 starting December 7th.

Oh yeah--I couldn’t agree with you more on your point that QBID needs to report.

This could play right into Q's business model, or the cost increase across the board could potentially reduce subscriptions....

FCC to reverse course on cable: WSJ
By MarketWatch
Last Update: 1:25 AM ET Nov. 29, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The Federal Communications Commission is set to reverse course and suggest cable TV companies could best serve consumers by letting them subscribe to individual channels instead of prepackaged bundles, according to a media report Tuesday.

FCC Chairman Kevin Martin is expected to announce Tuesday at a Senate hearing that the FCC will soon reissue its review of cable industry "a la carte" pricing with a different conclusion, The Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition, citing an unnamed FCC official familiar with the report. See Wall Street Journal story (Subscription required)

While the original report concluded that consumers would pay more for individual channels, the new one concludes they could pay less, The Journal said.

A spokesman for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association said the cable-industry lobbying group would have no comment until it had time to review the new report, The Journal reported.

Earlier this year, Martin expressed concerns about the earlier report and asked the FCC staff to review it, the Journal said. The staff concluded the original report relied in part on faulty analysis of data, The Journal said, citing an unnamed FCC official.

A year ago, an initial report concluded that consumers would save money on an a la carte plan only if they subscribed to fewer than nine channels, the Journal said. The average cable subscriber watches 17 channels, the FCC staff found, suggesting a rate increase of anywhere from 14% to 30%, according to The Journal said.

Martin's reported policy change concerns the cable industry, partly because it opens a new front in the government's efforts to impose indecency standards on cable and satellite provider, The Journal said.

Until now, the cable industry has resisted suggestions from Martin and some lawmakers to voluntarily offer a la carte choices or set up a "family-friendly tier" of channels suitable for children, the Journal said. By suggesting that consumers won't necessarily pay more for individual channels, the report calls into question the cable industry's revenue model, according to the story.

While the FCC can't force the cable industry to change its business model, its voice will add considerable weight to the debate and could embolden lawmakers eager to give consumers, particularly parents, more control over which television programming enters their homes.

Aside from the technical challenge of offering hundreds of channels on an individual basis, cable programmers and operators say such a switch would raise costs and reduce choices for consumers, the Journal reported. That's because, they say, pooling a group of channels into one cable package effectively lowers the cost of offering all of the channels.
