If I understand you correctly Dig, Logo and Here! just can't pay Q to air the games out of the blue, Q must have the legal rights first.
And as far as Franks 150 market mark, previously I said that he needs to have certain people schmoozing the GGF executives, seriously, its really termed as "power-schmoozing", and in high level business it really works.
Regarding the 150 markets, does anyone know if this is only USA DMA markets?
I went to the pinktv.fr website, and from the French market, they have 4 options under Satellite and aDSL and 5 cable channel options for the country (to subscribe).
Does anyone know if international markets could be counted to the carrier goal?
At any rate, once the initial deals are made with the cable providers here in the US, don't the cable providers have the infrastructure to get Q TV spread around faster?
IMO, the market numbers should ramp up considerably in the next 3-6 months or so, if this is the case.

I urge the board to not see it...I believed it to be an antimilitary movie for some reason. A missed opportunity of sorts...
I thought it was pretty good... last third of it was certainly anti climatic... obviously some marines had a whole lot of nothing to do in the first Iraq war as it was mainly an air war.

Qbid'n, I meant that in my opinion it would seem like getting here and logo to broadcast the games with the wide reach that they have would be or could be considered part of the 150 market. Also I 'm very curious who would be carrying the games if Q did not do it.
Jill I have an idea that Q will broadcast the games everywhere that they possibly can.

Q Television Network to Launch Throughout Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey; Digital 24/7 Gay and Lesbian Channel Available November 17, 2005 Nov 14, 2005 9:05:00 AM Copyright Business Wire 2005 BURBANK, Calif. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2005--
Q Television Network (Pink Sheets:QBID) today announced the launch of QTN throughout Time Warner's largest cable system -- Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey. Beginning November 17, 2005, digital customers will be able to access QTN's live, original gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) programming as a 24/7 digital network, Channel 326.
Q Television joins here! and LOGO to round out a trio of unique GLBT programming choices available through Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey, one of the first systems in the nation to offer all three networks. This news is yet another victory for GLBT residents in the New York City DMA, which is the largest gay market in the nation.
The New York/New Jersey deal marks Q Television's fourth launch in a Time Warner Cable Division. The network launched on Time Warner's Rochester and Syracuse systems last month and the Maine Division in July 2005.
"We are extremely pleased to add Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey to our growing distribution roster," said Carol Hinnant, QTN's Vice President, Affiliate Sales & Marketing. "Distribution is imperative to any network's growth, and to be launching in the nation's largest DMA clearly signifies QTN's advancement in the industry. Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey has done a wonderful job of recognizing and serving the GLBT audience and is to be commended for its leadership within the cable television industry."
Q Television currently offers its customers five hours of live programming daily, kicking off its morning fare with the new hit show "Brunch," which stars Honey Labrador and Scott Withers. The day ends with QTN's signature series "On Q Live," a fun-filled adventure of news, guests, sports and entertainment. QTN also offers its customers original programs such as "QueerEdge with Jack E. Jett," a live nightly talk show that takes viewers to the farthest reaches of "Queerdom"; Q on the Move," the first-ever travel show for the GLBT community; and "Flesh and Threads," a dance show that brings fashion and the gay beat to the dance floor.
Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey serves customers in four NYC boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn), Mt. Vernon, Hudson Valley (Orange, Sullivan, Ulster Counties and parts of Dutchess, Greene and Delaware Counties) and Bergen and Hudson Counties, N.J.

I would think that NYC would send out a signal to other carriers that Q is force to be reckoned with in the carrier community. They're right alongside a couple of the largest TV institutions in the world. How is that for pumping?(NOT). Just stating a fact and opinion. I wonder whats holding up Comcast?

Finally some nice news. The pps may not do anything, well maybe it may go down, but until we get an audit and until we get subscribers, chill people. Anyhow, good news. Now I wanna see TW all over the country with Q.

DIG Someone likes the news. PPS just hit 6 ... but I don't expect any significant or lasting PPS rise today ... too many people fixated on the audit.
But NY is still great news.

I'm going to offer up some predictions here (no, I don't have any inside information, I'm just speculating).
1. Carrier announcements will not move the price significantly (although a major satellite carrier may for a time). 2. The audit release will not move the price significantly (except, see #3). 3. AUDITED earnings results will move the price significantly.
When people see profits that is when they will become interested. We can be on every carrier in the world but if no one subscribes it's useless.

I will be surprised if this doesn't cause the pps to rise. A year ago, everyone was waiting for a TW carrier PR. Here it is, and a huge one IMO.

Gator, this is just speculation too, but if carriers keep taking on Q wouldn't that be an indication that people are subscribing. Not that you said they aren't. I'm not sure they want a lineup that nobody watches. I'm not an expert on their criteria either.
