In the meantime, I was busy thinking up some possible new topic names...of course it should start with QBID XXXIV...but, I was thinking...maybe Monday night/Tuesday morning based upon whether or not we have the audit...

I like the "QBID XXXIV...Thanks Frank" with the up or down thumb myself, based on the outcome.....I see it as a down thumb for now....JMHO...

Everyone should watch those 3 clips....i honestly was wondering if the content and quality was as good as has been said by many, but i can now say i was truely impressed! LMAO, i would actually watch those last 2 shows...
i would rather them keep the sexual stuff out of it with that 1 guy grinding on a pull all but naked, but hey, maybe they know something about the gay community that i dont...i was talking to a gay friend of mine the other week about QTN ,and he said they should turn it into a sexual station because gay people love sex, so maybe Frank and company are on to somthing there!
all in all, i am impressed and feel even more confident in Q going not only nationwide but worldwide!

Planet Out/ Gay.com you need to realize how big this really is. Frank had a fall out with Planet Out who is the parent company of Gay.com many years ago.
About a year ago if you even mentioned the word QTN in any of the Gay,com chat rooms you were banned for good (I know as I was one of those banned for asking about "Q" in SF).
Planet Out sided with Here and would not even talk with the "Q". When we were in Burbank there was some discussion about the frozen relationship between Frank and the owners of Planet Out. We were told that "Q" was working on it. In addition, Planet Out is also a major sponsor at the Gay Games. IMO they will do video streams for us on their websites.
This week the parents of Planet Out purchased Advocate along with a few other major gay publications and have become a major player in the gay media scene.
The relationship that we now have with the Planet is "big"

Also, in regards to the proposed date of the realese of the audit...
i would like to comment that many people are getting excited over a so called date for 2 reasons...
#1. davidjanas yes said that it will be out this weekend
#2. by reading that PR where it says 60 more days...
Well, #1, david janas, allow i love the guy and brings good humor to the board has been wrong on many things, and the few things hes been right on he has been off the mark as far as timelines...
and #2, if you read the PR, it says the audit will be "completed" in no more than 60 days...well, franks early, because its done...it no where says that in that 60 days it will be released...
What is happening is the audit is done, and is being certifed...to be certifed, all that has to be done is the management has to sign off saying that they agree with the auditors that the numbers are indeed correct...so its all in Frank and upper managments hands now, and he can decide when to release it in his best interest..there are no more deadlines, expect he will release it when he wants.

Planet Out Acquires 'The Advocate' and 'Out' 11.11.05

(San Francisco, CA) – In a deal that merges two gay media giants into a virtual media empire, PlanetOut Inc. announced plans this week to acquire LPI Media, leading publisher of magazines such as Out and The Advocate. The agreement, said to be valued at $31.1 million, propels PlanetOut beyond its online roots and into the print publishing world, nearly doubling the company in size.
By combining forces, the San Francisco based PlanetOut hopes to be more attractive to advertisers because of its broader reach and its ability to more effectively solicit magazine subscriptions through its online properties. "This is one gay marriage that the laws do allow," Lowell Selvin, PlanetOut's CEO, announced Wednesday.
PlanetOut has emerged as the dominant online media company for the gay community, with 5.4 million unique visitors in October. A strong online advertising market and a successful initial public offering last year have given the company a firm financial cushion, some of which was used to pay for the acquisition.
LPI Media Inc., the Los Angeles publisher bought by PlanetOut, distributes 8.2 million magazines per year, making it the biggest print publisher for gays and lesbians.
The Advocate, founded in 1967 and the oldest remaining magazine in the gay community, covers news and entertainment with a bi-weekly circulation is 120,000. Out, founded in 1992, follows fashion, style, trends and society and has a monthly circulation of 130,000.
Selvin said redesigns of the publications may be forthcoming but didn’t announce any other planned changes. The deal also gives PlanetOut the book publishing arm of LPI Media, Alyson Publications.
Richard Fetyko, an analyst for Merriman Curhan Ford & Co., praised the deal for potentially increasing the profile of PlanetOut's Web sites, which include PlanetOut.com and Gay.com At the same time, he said, PlanetOut can help generate extra subscriptions for the print magazines through online advertising.
PlanetOut and LPI Media first talked about an acquisition in 1999. But the planned merger was called off at the time after the the Internet industry crash.
Selvin said that after focusing on getting its online business in shape, PlanetOut could now afford to expand offline. The acquisition is expected to nearly double PlanetOut's revenues, which were $7.6 million in the third quarter, as reported Wednesday.
PlanetOut shares rose more than 5 percent Wednesday, gaining 40 cents to close at $7.51 in Nasdaq Stock Market trading. However, the stock lost 30 cents in after-hours trading.

Q Television Network, being a subsidiary of Triangle Multi Media, completed its audit on Friday, October 28, 2005. The audit is currently going through its certification process and will be available for viewing within the coming weeks.
I would like to take a moment to highlight the important points of this audit:
1. Q Television will show its total asset base 2. Q Television will show its debt *** roughly 30% less than expected 3. Specific asset percentages, breakdowns and splits of Q Television Network and /or its parent, Triangle Multi Media
Based upon the findings of this certified audit, senior management and the Board of Directors will immediately meet in Las Vegas on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 to implement a financial structure to further develop the company.

ohhh DOC, no doubt, after watching those clips, and if your right in saying 5.8M people visiting the website last month, then we are talking major major eyes on QTN, and add to that, planetout will be broadcasting probably only the best of clips with the best of guests...
so i only see great advertising here...in fact, come to think of it, its so good, Q may be paying them to get the clips on there...i dont think Q is, just saying that, that is how good it is for Q to be on planetout....

I was just reading a March 2005 news release about QTN's purchase of Pridevision...did that ever finalize?? There's also a mention that on Pridevision which would become outTV (if I'm reading that right) WOULD offer pornographic content... But, that Q does not want that programming on its own channel... either way, it's creating a diversity...if they did in fact go through with the purchase...
