something to think about.

this is really big

without the planet out deal we are exposed to about 2 million homes that are not all gay or gay friendly. so lets say we get 5% of those homes interested. that is 100,000 homes.

now we have a deal with planet out that is giving us exposure to 5 million Gay and Gay friendly homes now the potential on this is huge.

lets say only 10% of this 5 million gay and gay friendly household now like what they see and want it. that is 500,000 requests for carriage, or sign up. this is extremely huge people, this single deal could be the thing that pushes our satellite companies to have to carry it.

think about it for a second. you are a satellite company that by carrying 1 new channel could possibly pick up 200,000+ new custumers. in a ratings driven market. this is a huge deal

i like what im hearing folks, this was huger then any of us think.

i am now convinced that i dont care what Frank does at this point in the game. this company can not fail at this point in the game.

WAY TO GO FRANKY

The thing I keep coming back to is that EVEN with a 50 billion or 60 billion OS (which isn't a proven fact by any means) the market cap is too low given the potential and the forward movement in the network. I understand the arguments that we don't know how much of QTN QBID owns, and I know that Frank's credibility is in the crapper, but he did recently say, "wholly owned subsidary".

Its just fear and doubt and the MMs using their god-like powers to keep the movement to nil or downwards, IMO.

Keep the faith.

We need to see the audit and see that (as Frank said), "the financial side is just as structured as the creative side."

As Ronald Reagan said - Trust, but verify.

Give us the audit, Frank.

And don't forget, all of those planetout subscribers are paying for magazine subscriptions and even a lot of web memberships. Do you not think they will fork out $9 a month for a tv channel??

i know it is on the conservative side i believe it is extremely conservative.

to be realistic i think you take 60% of that audience as a more realistic target. but i figured by going conservative and looking at the potential, the higher that number is the more amazing this demand will be.

we are dealing with a market that is very loyal to thier causes, and i can see it being a much much higher demand.

by this time next year I am willing to bet that there will be very little area in the US that will not have this channel available to.

i wanted my numbers to on the conservative side as conservative is attainable, and i would be more then happy with the attainability of those numbers that i have thrown out.

that is what i liked about Jenncd10's estimate of subs at this time. she took the conservative numbers as a possibility. and the numbers still look good.

there is no sense in throwing out unattainable numbers, as if we dont reach them we will be disappointed.

the other thing that i have not actually touch on nearly enough.

we where available to 2 million homes before, now with Planet outs audience, we are available to 5 million more homes.

that is 7 million homes now that we are available to in which 5 million of those homes are guaranteed to be our potential market.

5 Million potential customers that are already paying for Gay themed material.

all we need to take of that number is 5% and that would be 250,000 subs. we have figured in the past that 100,000 subs would make us break even.

5% is a very conservative number. many of those will be in non covered areas. so that means that they will be calling thier carriers, requesting this channel. this is going to bombard the carriers with requests, more so then any amount of pressure and requests that the investors could put on to these carriers.

things are going to start to move forward extremely fast once this starts.

Frank is going to be the most successful GLBT station CEO in the world. along with him, the long holders of this stock will also be made very wealthy.

its a matter of time, nothing more, nothing less.

Penny-Trader, you are trying to keep things conservative, which I applauded. But in the same breath you are trying to blow things out of proportion. You say we are now available in 5 million more homes in addition to the 2 million homes before. But these two types of availability are not equivalent, and indeed may overlap. The 2 million is from actual cable providers where a fee is paid of which QTN gets a cut of. For the 5 million only highlights of the shows are available and we don't know if QTN gets any actual money for this, perhaps it's merely for the exposure. Many of those 5 million may not be in areas where they can even subscribe to QTN. I will grant this, however, as you have pointed out; the exposure may cause even more people to contact their local carriers with encouragement to carry QTN. That in itself is big. So while there may or may not be any direct bottom-line impact I think that the exposure will eventually have a big impact.

Something else interesting to speculate on is the possibility of either PlanetOut buying out QBID, or the other way around. What a neat way for our stock to immediately move to the NADSQ!

heres a little off topic humour for you to think about.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the

1930's 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, and early-ish 80's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while
they
carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and
didn't
get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored
lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and
when
we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took
hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE
actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drink with
sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were
back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride
down
the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the
bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at
all,
no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell
phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat
rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.

We were given cowboy guns for our 10th birthdays, made up game with
sticks
and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen we did not poke
out very many eyes

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in
us
forever.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or
rang
the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

The town football club had tryout for the junior team and not everyone
made
the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.
They actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem
solvers
and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them! CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow
up
as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our
own good. And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will
know how brave their parents were.!!!

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't
it?!

im not blowin it out of proportion at all. we are available in part to these homes, and i pointed out that of the 5 million homes if 5% of them where to ask there providers to carry it the demand would be overwhelming.

you are correct in that we are probably not making any money off of the planet out deal, and im not implying that we are.

thanks for pointing that out. im not trying to decieve anyone here. I know that we are not fully available in all 5 million homes.

as far as overlapping goes into the 2 million existing homes, i think the potential overlap would be in maybe 10-15% of the original 2 million homes. i base this on the fact that it is estimated that 10% of the population are Gay. where as the 5 million custumers of Planet out are Gay or Gay friendly and are all considered potetial custumer base to Q Television. So there maybe overlapped by 250,000. that sill gives us 4.75 million new contacts.

the potential is still huge.

Read closely the "Birth Of A Gay Media Empire" article ( http://www.365gay.com/Biz/Closet/112105closet.htm ) posted earlier. The way I read it is there is a media war that has begun with the emergence of Viacom/LOGO. Viacom's power in the media world, especially with advertisers, is driving the demand for gay networking.

As has been stated in the past, this bodes well for Q TV. By associating itself with PlanetOut, Q TV positions itself well with not only potential subscribers, but advertisers as well (the power of association). With Q on board, the PlanetOut "empire" now has an alternative to LOGO and gives the "empire" media options in print, on the web and ultimately on television.

This is huge for advertisers as their message gets out via multiple portals and multiple entities. While a potentially lucrative market for advertisers, there are still reservations on how to proceed without upsetting the apple cart (so to speak). By giving them controllable options (print,on-line & TV under one roof), there comfort level will increase. Competition between Viacom/LOGO & the "empire" will bode well for consumers, advertisers & shareholders.

14.5 Billion...19.5 billion...21.5 billion....44 billion...50 billion...60 billion...what will it be next week?

--------------------------------------------------------

Who knows Charlie.

Maybe by the end of next week it'll be:

60 billion...50 billion...44 billion...21.5 billion...19.5 billion...14.5 billion................500 million!

If the network is doubling in prestige, presence, and asset value almost monthly, very soon he may have lenders falling all over him (like we get credit card offers) to lend him $50 million.

For a paltry $50 million he could reduce the O/S by $50,000,000/$0.0005 = 100B shares between now and next week!

A turn of events like this could happen at any time! Not to mention selling of the network for billions!

Ron

Frank…

What the heck are you doing? This Planet Out thing is CRAZY. I don’t know of a single straight person who would watch this! All your going to get is millions of “homo’s” watching this and wanting more. Gezz, you know what it’s like, you give them a little and they want the whole thing. Frank, you are also going to cause a disruption in the call centers of the cable and satellite companies. These weird GLBT “persons” will become demanding about getting this “thing” called Q. Frank these quiet easy going call centers will not be able to handle the workload. You are causing stress on these people. They will have to work overtime because of you. Do you have any idea of how long it takes to sign up 10 million people? Things were going just fine until you came barging in with this idea that gays should have their own network. The next thing you know they’ll want the right to vote!
I thank God it’s Thanksgiving. Those poor overworked order takers need some rest.

This is from yesterday, but I'm just catching up.

I agree. But some people will never take responsibility for their own actions. And some people will never tolerate opinions they don't agree with. And some people will never get along with others because they actually hate themselves. It's called the human race.

And now for the important stuff:

What??? No blue cheese dressing.

RE: Planet Out

Does anyone remember when Home and Garden was the ONLY one (except for local noontime shows)?

Trading Spaces, Chris and Martha programing were added to other networks.

Now we have DIY, Fine Living, Food.............

Within less than 5 (?) years program providers
"got it".

There really was a market out there.

People really are interested in where they hang their hats--not to mention improving their personal net worth.

Is this a momentous PR?

IMO, oh yes.

Q TELEVISION NETWORK STRIKES FIRST INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION DEAL - AUSTRALIA'S SELECTV

Digital 24/7 GLBT Channel to be Available throughout Australia and New Zealand

BURBANK, CA - November 22, 2005 - Q Television Network (See OTCBB Other: QBID) today announced that it has entered into an affiliate agreement with Selectv, which will become the exclusive satellite provider of QTN programming throughout Australia and New Zealand. As a result of this agreement, the network's groundbreaking GLBT programming will be available to roughly 10 million potential additional households.

QTN recently launched with Cox Communications Eureka/Arcata and Time Warner Cable of New York and New Jersey, which added nearly one million digital households to its distribution. Selectv marks the network's first international distribution deal and a substantial expansion of its consumer reach. QTN began firming up Selectv launch details during the recent MIPCOM, where executives pitched the network's growing signature lineup of original GLBT shows.

"This is an incredibly exciting move for us," said Carol Hinnant, QTN's Vice President, Affiliate Sales & Marketing. "Selectv has embarked on a mission to deliver Australian residents a rich and diverse lineup of international television fare. Our programming will fill a definite void in Australia, where the GLBT audience is just as vocal and involved as it is in the States."

Q Television currently offers its customers five hours of live programming daily, including such hit series as "Brunch," "QueerEdge with Jack E. Jett," "The Reichen Show," "On Q Live," "Q on the Move," "QTN World News," "Xcess/Access," "On Topic" and "Flesh and Threads." QTN is also the official television network for Gay Games VII, for which the network reserves the right to package and distribute for sale to other providers as a pay-per-view event.

About Q Television:
This 24/7 premium television network is organized to create, develop and feature television programming for the gay and lesbian community, including live & interactive content every weeknight, plus sports, information and entertainment. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming is available on a subscription basis to those desiring to subscribe. The network is telecast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Q Television Network is the official network of Gay Games® VII. The network is also ad-supported. For further information on programming and subscriptions, please visit www.qtelevision.com.
