I had the same mixed reaction to this PR yesterday and said so, but others pointed out some of the reasons this PR is much more important than I thought at first, so I have re-evaluated it. You've done a very nice job summarizing how important this piece of Frank's plan is to Q's future. Now we have to wait for the plan to work. May take awhile, as everyone evaluates the PR and the results of the POD program, but long term, POD seems to be a very positive piece of Frank's plan.

I agree on the surface this PR doesn't get me all that excited but being a business man and having dealt with marketing (web marketing, SE positioning etc etc), I had to stand back and look at it globally.

Once I did that, I found myself getting excited.

On thing to note also is (take this however you want, I am not going to argue with anyone), I spoke to Richard several months ago, the actions that Frank is taking our based on what carriers are telling him to do to get carriage. POD was an action that a particular carrier/s asked him to do. I don't know anymore than that so I cannot expound on why/who/what asked Frank to do POD.

Meeting with Frank today from Koreanvet. Answers to the questions you can find here
http://s6.************.com/Q_Forum/index.php?showtopic=992
Nothing in substance more evasive speech from Frankie

GANG: Had a very pleasant meeting with Frank.First,no pictures that is the labor policy.Had a pleasant chat with Frank then told him about the purpose of my visit.I gave him the question letter and total share sheet.Frank read everything then called in a young lady to take a letter.Frank told me to post the answer to the questions just like they were taken down by the young lady.If I changed any of the answers are made any extra comments I would be sued bye the Q.I have a copy of Franks answers . All is signed and noted about making any changes.

QUESTION (1) ANSWER = 90% of the industry is owned and operated by themselves. For example,Viacom owns cable companies such as Nick at Night, TV Land etc. They also own the carriers.By them owning the carriers ,it is like a clubhouse-if you check all the channels, there are only a few that dont own themselves, they own each other. It is like a "Big Daddy"club. In 1936 all the movie producers owned the theaters. After the Taft Hartley law,you could either own the theater or own the production house. You couldnt do both.Basically,it is a vicious loop that is hard to get into. When LOGO came out and decided to do a gay channel,I was surprised. We are being looked at differently by the networks. LOGO got in because they traded off VH2,which was a classic country rock station. They made a deal with the cable companies to take the VH2 away and replace it with LOGO.

(2) No,there is no backlash yet. Video on demand is very expensive to record and have available to people. Right now,we have 30 hours available. It is available 24 hours a day,7 days a week, but it is the same 30 hours.

(3) You need to understand that cablel companies are municipalities. If you seperate them, they become very poor. The reason is because the average merger is $4000.00 per channel,it involves so much.Such as FBOD,SVOD and other programming. A VOD does not fit our method because we are a 24/7 live programming company.

(4) Our contract with RCN does not allow us to release subscribers numbers because they are such a small company.(Only 1 million households) The numbers dont mean anything really-we have actually exceeded our projected number. Last month, for example,we were up 285%!!

(5) RCN is working with us to get bandwidth. They keep their bandwidth full all the time and in order to add someone ,they have to drop someone. They have to check and make sure that the other channels are not under a contract with them first.

(6) We will be available-its in our contract

(7) OutTV just finished their licensing agreement on July5 and we are still negotiating with them.

(8) The information that I need to share with you is too long and detailed for this letter,so I will explain this next week.

(9) That was announced today.

(10) SAME AS #8 SEE #8

Mayor's vision fully in focus

Cindy Uken
The Desert Sun
July 13, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a member of the Palm Springs Human Rights Commission in the 1990s, Ron Oden was instrumental in getting Black Entertainment Television included in the local programming lineup. Now Mayor, Oden is lobbying to get more programming included that focuses on yet another minority group - gays and lesbians.
But his vision for what it could bring is much broader than local programming; it's an economic opportunity.

Oden, widely thought to be the country's first openly gay black mayor, is lobbying strenuously to get Q Television Network, a Palm Springs-based network, included on the Time Warner Cable television lineup. Q Television Network is a nationally syndicated gay television network run by and programmed for an audience that identifies itself as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender - and straight. It would be a natural fit for Palm Springs, which boasts a significant gay and lesbian population.

But for Oden, this is about so much more than just adding a network that is gay- and lesbian-based; it's about doing what's right for Palm Springs. And that's what really gets his creative juices flowing.

This is the place where noted retailers like Nordstrom and J. Crew frequently come for print advertising and catalog shoots.

More than 800 shooting days - including movies, TV shows, commercials and still photography - netted the valley $28 million in revenues in 2004, according to the Inland Empire Film Commission.

With the right production studio, Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley just might be able to take things to the next level. Theoretically, it could become a Hollywood satellite that turns media production into a source for year-round, high-paying jobs?

"If they get on Time Warner, they are going to build a production studio in the city," Oden said. "It gives us another opportunity to do things here. They're going to syndicate some national shows and broadcast from here on a daily basis. We're moving, baby."

Oden said one of the complaints he often hears is that there is no place in Palm Springs to produce programs; if Q Television Network builds a studio here, that would void that complaint.

Time Warner corporate officers are trying to negotiate a nationwide agreement with the type of network product Q Television Network offers, said Kathi Jacobs, director of government and community relations for Time Warner. The company is considering three different products in the same network genre; Q Television Network is one of them. She said a decision in expected "sometime in the future."

Carol Hinnant, vice president of acquisitions for Q Television Network, said Tuesday, "We are still talking with Time Warner and hope for a positive resolution in the next couple of months."

As I've gotten to know Oden better during his tenure as mayor - and watch how he works - there are no accidents. Most everything he does is by design.

Earlier this year, he talked of his vision to reestablish Palm Springs as a playground for the stars. He enlisted the help of actors, singers, writers and others to brainstorm ways to attract more stars and visitors to the city - and bring the Hollywood allure back to the desert.

Once a bit static, the picture is starting to become much clearer. It's becoming a don't-miss drama.

This day certainly has started out positive. I should have known good stuff was coming when all the bashers and whiners showed up this week. Plus, your "psychic powers" also predicted good news.

After re-reading the POD PR and digesting all the good evaluations of it by others, I too am feeling very positive about it. I always feel positive about the Q, but I like seeing solid news as well as anyone.

Go Q. Got a trip to Vegas next month and want to play some high stakes poker.

this is hilarious, from the POD website:

1000$ for a 30 min show, means we are spending 100,000$ + per month to get "Q" noticed,a very sound investment! [Wink]

Nothing said there was anything like most pumpers would say: "omg I met with Frank and we are signing with Mediacom next week!!111". Because of this, I find it likely that what he said is a true story. That means future true stories will come from him.

I don't comment as much as I used to. I used to be skeptical of this stock too. Not anymore. You don't sell your product on POD if you don't have one.

For those of you in other Pink sheet stocks, can you physically confirm the existence of the "corporation" that you are investing in? Can you confirm they have assets and their holdings aren't just dying businesses and warehouses in the middle of nowhere?

Q has a product. They have overwhelming demand. You don't have "bandwidth issues" if your demand is low.

And here's where it gets interesting:
1)They are already having bandwidth issues with RCN.
2)They are advertising on POD.

So,

3) They must have a new carrier ready to supply the new demand.

Just for the record. I am Bugzie on the Q Forum (The creator and owner of the Q Forum). Since I cannot revel my Forum address here, do a Google search for "Q Forum". It'll be on the first page.

Now, the post came from a reputable source on the Q Forum. His name (on the forum) is koreanvet. He has been at the Q Studio many times and they're all posted on the Q Forum. All of his reports are true and the recent visit with Frank has been verified by lobogotti on IHub board ( IHub Board ). There is no doubt that Q Is going places folks.

Oh yea, when you see the part that he can answer question on the “Board”, he is referring to the Forum. Just thought you’d may want tot know that.

Oh here is the follow-up that was not posted of koreanvet's visit: koreanvet's 2nd update of visit with Frank Olsen .

Here is also the letter that we (the Q Forum Members) gave to koreanvet to hand deliver to Frank Olsen:
