Bigrod40,

My head is far from being in my ass. Thank you very much. As I have said, I have lurked here almost from the begining. I don't claim to be a stock god, but I can assure you that I have the credentials to claim the title if I wish. I am here because Q's concept caught my eye. I am not a daytrader nor do I have any other micro penny positions. To be honest I don't have the time to watch the micros, nor do I have the desire to sit around doing DD all day and placing buy/sell orders all day. I would rather be out cementing long term business relationships that will provide income for years to come.

Since the begining, many members have put massive amounts of time and effort into following Q. I will be the first one to thank them because they have made my life easier with regards to the amount of DD I have had to do. On the other hand, there are many members who have done nothing but bitch the whole time they have been here. When all is said and done, we have all invested in the long term potential of a micro penny longshot. With that in mind, did anyone think this was going to be a cake walk? If so, you have chosen the wrong hobby/profession.

All we can do is sit back and take the ride. Gay televisions battle will have four key players and thats it. The networks, the gay community, the right wing religous groups, and the FCC. After the smoke settles, and we see where we are, then we as stockholders will have some kind of voice. Until that day comes, we are only in the way.

As to Viacom's ability to get carriers. Did anyone really think one of the worlds most powerfull media conglomerates would have issues getting carriers? Come on now.

Well I can see your pretty high on yourself with this comment "I don't claim to be a stock god, but I can assure you that I have the credentials to claim the title if I wish".
I can see now that your head would be to big to fit up there...LOL.
Anyways in all seriousness the rest of your post makes sense.

WOW Frank, take notes. Now that is how you are suppose to announce carriers. Frank tomorrow is the last day of June. If you can't be a man of yo word then how are you suppose to expect cable companies to take you seriously and add Q to there line up. Make it happen Mannnnnnnnnnn

This was in the article:

Colichman said, "Viacom is doing it right by keeping the launch low-key and by buying accessible, lifestyle programming

Geez is that not what "Q" is doing to establish it's place in the market [Big Grin]

Any thoughts on the next PR? Will it come tomorrow as we see the launch of Logo? or will it come the day after the Logo launch? IMO there is something brewing at "Q" headquarters and I am willing to wait but would not be shocked if we get a sweet PR shortly after the Logo launch.

I do see some merit in the comments made by Zman, how much gay is to much gay for the general public at this time when we even have PBS under attack.

I think that Frank is smart to wait and see how the public reacts to the Logo launch. Learn from their mistakes and not make the same. Frank has been saying that you don't want to force gay programming on the public buy rather make them think that they have a choice to view or not to view.

We should take a lesson from our friends north of the 49th. The Canadian gay scene have been working in the back rooms for years slowly moving their agenda towards the politicians and people of influnece, for years they did not flaunt their sexuality on the public, with massive pride events and gay bumper stickers, instead they worked behind the public eye and as you can see it has paid off, they now have legalized gay marriage. On the other hand our gay population have flaunted, marches, and pushed the public, tyring to force people to buy into their beliefs, the public revolt and the cause is pushed back. Please do not take this as an offense to the gay population, that is just my take on the situation in the US.

I say lets take it slow and easy, work in the back rooms, get our deals together and then move on the public, don't push it on them, just slow and steady and I believe that is what will make "Q" a success and a success it will be.

Sorry for being long winded, but that is how I see it from where I sit.

I know that something big is about to happen with the "Q" the time is getting right. So the question is still, will ge get a PR on the launch of Logo or a day or two afterwards?

Long, strong, holding and yes still accumulating.

Umm.. No offense, but as investors in QBID we WANT LOGO to get carriers. It's like the Hispanic TV analogy. One of them broke the ground, and then several others came through. How many cable outlets and satellite providers have just one Hispanic channel?

Besides, hereTV is on DirectTV, it would make sense that carriers would be open to Viacom's offer. Remember that Q is not doing the "in your face" approach that LOGO is. And LOGO is being quiet and smart about it.

The bigger the hit LOGO is, the better things are for Q too. I can't believe we have long investors that would actually be upset that LOGO is getting coverage. In almost every article, Q Television is mentioned alongside LOGO.

If you pulled an investor in this stock from 6 months ago and told them that Q would have this much publicity, they would buy more shares in it. (till you told them what the PPS now would be [Razz] )

But still, anyone with a brain knows that the risk in this stock isn't the demand or even necessarily the supply (because we will eventually get carriers). The only risk factor in this stock is Frank, and whether or not he'll stay true to his word.

as for a pr: who knows doc! it would be nice, just have to wait and see. as for zman i agree with the last part of your post re: viacom and carriers, i KNEW from the first announcement about logo that they would pretty much have thier pick of carriers, i also believe there is plenty of room for Q in most of those markets, logo should bring more exsposure to Q when its talked about on the news, perhaps the public will prefer a subscription channel over a public one and thats Q. only time will tell. in the comming weeks there will be much public debate over logo wich i think will be good for Q in the long run. thank you zman for your intelligent and well exspressed veiws on Q and our nemisis logo. GLTA---- and remember.... resistance is futile success is inevitble! GO Q!!!

Interesting item in today's news:

MADRID, Spain - Parliament legalized gay marriage Thursday, defying conservatives and clergy who opposed making traditionally Roman Catholic Spain the third country to allow same-sex unions nationwide. Jubilant gay activists blew kisses to lawmakers after the vote.

folks lets keep it simple. with all the news around the world about legalized gay marriage and june being pride month, qtv is going to be picked up by carriers eventually.it really is a matter of time nothing more nothing less.obviously things can still go wrong; God forbid but frank could get sick , a terrorist attack could happen near triangle multi media's headquarters any number of things could go wrong.but i love the relation that some are making about hispanic television stations to gay stations.their is so much room for qtv, heretv , logo , and others.the important thing in my humble opinion is that logo and heretv are a major success to begin with.let them take the rap from the right wing conservatives, and then when the time is right qtv comes in quietly and cuatiously to steal the thunder and rapidly becomes either the #1, or #2 glbt tv network.i am an optimist by nature but things just seem to be working in the right direction.nobody can be happy about the current pps but if you do beleive in the future of qtv then this pps is actually a gift being its an opurtunity to pick up shares under a penny, or under a dime.hahahahaha i love qbid, i love qbidians, i am a fool, and i am a happy fool.if qbid and frank make a fool out of me then so be it.but if frank follows up even close to what he has stated he is trying to do then i will be a rich fool. may the qbidian family live long and prosper. as whiz always says " all we have to do is launch". hey bottomliner i got big slick vs. your pair of queens im all in what ya gonna do.hehehe!!!!!!!

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/06/30/DDGCJDGC411.DTL

From the article above:

"Although two gay television channels are already on the airwaves -- Here! and Q Television -- they are available on an ad-free pay service through Comcast."

Even though the media is making lot's of false statements about the status of Q, maybe this one could lead a lot of people to call Comcast and request Q? That would be neat.

I for one am excited about all the press that gay cable and Q specifically are receiving... All news is good news. Good luck everyone. Hopefully we will see PPS rise on buying pressure from new investors in the new week.

That's an easy one, since I assume I would be chipleader by that time in the game and calling your "short stack" of chips would only risk a few of my millions. "hehehe"

Since pocket queens in a heads up game is pretty strong, and against Big Slick is about a coin toss, I would call . . . assuming I could be sure no one else at the table was going to join in. Queens are not as strong in a 3-way showdown. And then . . . it's up to the Poker gods.

Kind of like betting on QBID. We all have pocket queens (or maybe just a middle pair?) right now against Big Slick (Viacom), and we are waiting for the flop (the launch of LOGO). I hope Frank is the dealer and has a couple queens up his sleeve (no pun intended).

Bottomliner,
Big Slick, is known by many "old timers" as "walking back to Texas" There is a reason for that! And yes against QQ it is almost a coin flip, but odds still favor the QQ. Give me just a few % points in my favor ANYDAY!! BTW only 1 more week till the series, still got time to make it!

Q will get a huge amount of exsposure from the logo launch, i exspect the gay community will ultimately be unimpressed with " thier " new channel "logo" and see it as pandorouse and too PC. it wont be long before the media starts comparing content with Q, when logo starts defending itself by perading gay staff before the cammeras to show they are "in tune" with thier audience it will mark the beggining of the end for logo! Q will come "out" on top!

You're right on about the queens. Never heard that about Big Slick, but I can understand it. Pocket aces are my Waterloo. I have a terrible history with them. But that's in low level games, where aces are at a big disadvantage because you cannot force out the weak hands with small bets.

We just booked our next trip to Vegas for the end of August. That gives Frank time to pump QBID high enough to pay for my trip and give me some playing money for no-limit games.

Did you watch the 3-hour WPT broadcast on the Travel Channel last night? Talk about getting "rivered". Happened over and over to the young guy who ended up winning. For awhile, he must have thought the Poker gods were really pissed at him.

Closed at .0017 and opened at .0019. Then someone rushed to short that bid down to .0017. In other words, we have buyers that aren't afraid to buy at .0019. That means increased/new interest in the stock. Who would be buying this that wasn't last month though?

Low volume... maybe it is watch LOGO launch day.

Then it will be see what happenes during the first few days and weeks. If there is interest and hype, we'll do great because of LOGO. If there isn't much interest or hype, we'll do great because of Q.

Like I said two days ago here: http://www.allstocks.com/stockmessageboard/ubb/ultimatebb.php/ubb/get_topic/f/8/t/014414/p/59.html#002039

quote:
Volume is, put simply, not good for a day trader. (7) We've been on a downtrend for about a month now, and it's getting lower. Which means we are poised for a short shake, and then; on a good PR, we may rise to .0035 to .0040 (1, end bar). Volume will slightly increase, and then steadily increase, till someone notices this stock and it pops. (7, end bar)
Given what I've seen today, that might be a rise to about .0026 and then a slight "pop" to maybe .0030, then it'll slide back down again.

While today through next week of small greens is good news, don't let it get to your head, we still need to keep putting pressure on Frank to release the financials and hopefully we'll see some good news about LOGO's interest. If LOGO has a dismal performance, it will be bad for the market, so we want it to do well.

This could also just be people buying on rumors of carrier announcements this or next week coinciding with LOGO's launch. I guess I didn't think about that one.
