I have started my own business and I did use my own money but not for as many years and to the degree at which it is or is claiming to be spent without much on that return.

I just dont buy it. There is other money involved somewhere. There has to be at his claimed expenditure rate. If I believed Frank was bank rolling all of this personally I would sell every share I owned this second and run as far away from this stock as I could and advise my entire circle to do the same. Thats about 65 million shares last count among us. lol

The belief in other backers is what validates the future prospects of the network. If no one else in the entertainment community but Frank believes in investing the funds to make things happen then I wouldnt either. Frank being the sole funder would be tantamount to a guarranteed failure in my eyes.

Obviously I dont believe any of that though since I bought more shares this morning. [Smile]

Assuming QBID is really at about 7 billion shares, with Frank owning 3.5 or so, I think .012 is a reasonable estimate of where we will be at June 29th. That's a market cap of $84 million. Contrary to public belief (and Frank's quotes himself) BET was not only reporting, they were on the NYSE when they were bought out by Viacom. At one point, they were struggling just like QBID, and made some leaps into the 50 million dollar market cap range early 90s (don't quote me on this, my research on BET and Lifetime isn't complete yet). Due to inflation, I can see QBID hitting about 75 million.

We will no doubt have profit takers, but the biggest reason to hold is that the Q has unique programming. LOGO won't. LOGO may have a few shows, but it'll be like Lifetime, playing "feel good" movies all the time that no one really watches but stay-at-home moms. The gay community wants to see humor and news, music, updates on events, and etc. This truly is a station for gays, by gays. Which is exactly how BET was, for blacks, by blacks. In fact, it was the first wholly owned black corporation on the NYSE!

There's a lot of similarities here, but QBID has been taking some flak because Frank has been a little flagrant in how he approaches PRs. All the recent investor relations are starting to indicate he's maturing in that aspect, and if that's the case, so too will his investor base!

Good times ahead, but let's be cautious and patient.

Good point andrew. There's a lot of merit to QBID on it's own. I haven't updated the QBID FAQ in a while, but someone emailed me last night saying they heard (which is why I won't post it) that the "Investors up to .01" PR was released because of a group play.

The group play involved individuals buying ICAN and QBID then phoning both investor relations teams to tell them that they intended to buy their stock to .01 but ONLY if they released the PR in an email. They then sent an email with the same text and thats how we got two PRs from QBID and ICAN that mirrored each other. The group players then waited for the jump in price and then sold at the top.

Whoever these individuals are, if they exist, they should be investigated by the SEC. It'd be easy to find them I'd think, they'd just have to look for large purchases at the same price and large sells from those same people at a much higher price.

Something to think about, anyway. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR, DO NOT BUY/SELL ON IT. I think it does a good job of explaining what happened that day though.

Not at all. Depends on the arrangements between companys IF that is the deal.

Microsoft invested heavily in Apple and in my opinion is what helped Apple return from the grave before iPOD became their true flagship today. And to this day they are still not playing well together on some fronts. DR WMA format is not supported by iPODs yet and slowly more artists are going to this already. For example, new Dave Matthews Band album released yesterday is nonrippable by normal standards yet they give you DR WMA files to port to your portable devices and it works on dozens of them but not on iPODS. So investing in a competitor can be done for a slew of reasons without any regard for the the eventual purchase price of the company because there is never any intention of purchasing it.

I do not believe Viacom has thought about it or ever will purchase Qtv, but an investment to push a competitor forward helps them more than it hurts them.

I know personally of restaurant corporations that have "helped" other competitors get leases, building permits and in some cases financing to put a competing restaurant next door. Why? Because it has been proven that when the second one opens next door the growth in the first one increases quickly before leveling out to a higher sustained average revenue.

Competition (and helping to breed that competition) is as good for the consumer as it is for the multiple business owners in many cases.

Q Television website 05/11/05

The Q Television Network is proud to be airing selected rodeos from the 2005 International Gay Rodeo Association circuit.

The International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA) is an organization comprised of numerous regional Gay Rodeo Associations from across the United States and Canada. IGRA, in collaboration with member associations, assist these associations in raising and donating thousands of dollars to charity in their communities each year. The Gay and Lesbian Communities of the United States and Canada have been enriched by the educational efforts of IGRA through its sanctioning and sponsorship of the various events and activities which are a part of what we call "Gay Rodeo".

Scheduled Events:

Big Horn Rodeo - Las Vegas Nevada
Comstock Stampede - Reno Nevada
Great Plains Rodeo - Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Minneapolis Rodeo - Minneapolis Minnesota
Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo - Denver
LA Rodeo - Los Angeles California
Bay Area Rodeo - San Francisco California
Atlantic Stampede - Washington DC
19th Annual Rodeo Finals - Dallas Texas

The preparation and physical training for each rodeo that our men and women are involved in help to heighten our awareness of Gay Rodeo's responsibilities to the Gay and Lesbian Community. The IGRA and its regional associations have committed themselves to the raising of funds from their activities to distribute back into the community for charitable use. Over 2 million dollars, as reported by our Member Associations, has been raised and distributed to charitable organizations who care for and seek cures for those with the HIV disease, as well as other emerging GBLT health and social welfare needs.

Let's Rodeo!

HEE HAW

GO QBID!!!!! [Big Grin]

look back at my post on the repurchase ruled from the sec, do the math on the after hours buys, everyday for the last week that i checked at 3:59 each day Buckwheat and myself would figure out what 25% of days total was and sure enough we would be with in a million shares of the total after hours buys.

coincidence maybe for one night but every night? i don't think so.

George king did predict the 9 million blocks weeks before we realised this was happening.

I don't know if he was lucky or knows something. all i know is I'm going to keep an eye on what he says and watch and see how accurate he is.

Q Television's Website Exceeds 1.5 Million Hits Per Month
Wednesday May 11, 3:58 pm ET

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 2005--Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID - News) announced today that its website is receiving more than 1.5 million hits per month from potential subscribers requesting that their local cable or satellite carrier air the Q Television Network.
"Our current subscriber base is rapidly spreading the word about our network throughout the gay and lesbian community. The number of hits our website is receiving validates the huge demand for Q," says Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. "In spite of the many lifestyle networks to choose from, the gay and lesbian demographic has not been met, and Q Television is filling that void with a network devoted to this underserved population."

About Q Television Network: This television network was organized to create and develop a network devoted to providing television programming for the gay and lesbian community. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis to those desiring its programming. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Q Television Network is the Network for the Gay Games VII. For further information on programming and subscriptions, please visit www.qtelevision.com.

1.5 hits per month! If we ever see a PR that so much as one tenth of them subscribed this thing will roll through a dime like it was nothing!

"All we ever had to do is launch!"

I saw that but this was a banner ad, on the opening page, that is where I got the quote about what they were offering.

Maybe someone could send gay.com an e-mail and ask if they can get a copy of the ad that ran on their site. Or Maybe RCN would give the ad up for review [Big Grin]

Follow this scenario. Viacom knows it is going to go after Q before Logo launches. They buy up shares, because hey, it's a good investment anyway. They own so many shares of Q that when it's time to make an offer they say "Take it at this price or we'll dump all the shares we own and it will send the stock into the crapper". Now Frank would have to do the math, should he settle for Viacom's offer, or say no and see Q worth close to nothing. Not to mention having a huge enemy in Viacom.

but i think if they where buying up that many shares they would have to be listed on a filing.

there is something to the effect of not being able to own more then 10% of a company, and then if you do there are rules on you as to how many shares you can sell and they have to apply for the right to sell them so many days in advance. that is why they have rules like this. to prevent this type of behavior.

Dont buy or sell on my opinions, do your research. Make sure you know what you are buying before you buy.
