I have to say g-invest, that you always have excellent posts but, they go over like someone that just peed in the pool.
Hah. Thanks. I do try to be objective, even though I'm in this for the long haul. I do own 500,000 shares and I'm actually trying to get more to hit the million club (shhhhh) but I gotta wait for Ameritrade to decide it's okay for me to invest in pink sheets.

There's just too much about this stock that stinks of Frank either trying to get us to sell at a loss so he can buy back our shares, or diluting to increase money. I have to say though, that these "buybacks" are really mysterious, and might stink of MM manipulation just so Frank gets the price he wants. Such is the life of a pink, though.

quote:
He is Buying Back as many SHARES as possible because HE already has a SECOND carrier lined up. And know that this POWDER KEG IS definately GOING TO BLOW !!! So why not BUYBACK as many as he possibly can for that reason. He could easily TURN 4 MILLION DOLLARS into 40 MILLION Dollars and THAT would SECURE QBID's Future for at least the next few YEARS
So is Frank paying the bashers then? Cause the PPS isn't moving upward on this buyback.

quote:
The real bottom line here is that the audit will have a exact share count. And the audit will be out soon.
PLNI set a date for the audit/exchange move. Why can QBID?

quote:
Then, like I sparked something in her mind she goes"oh yeah we had brought that up in a meeting last month! It hasn't launched yet with Direct Tv. But will(YES!BUT WILL!)" I asked her again, because I was crapping my pants and she confirmed it to me,maybe because I said I am an investor? She took my request and said it will automatically start on my Direct TV service when QTV launches!!!!!!!!
I would like to verify this, can you give me the number you called so I can do the same? This would be the "national carrier" that Q is looking for.

Good stocks sometimes get brought up in QBID threads, I took a look at your stock maestro, and I like the look of it, but unfortunately, I'm already spread pretty thin and the money I have now is probably going to be used like KTrain does, on "runners". IE, I won't invest in a stock till I see it starting to do some leaps, and I'll always sell out by the end of the day. That's the safe way to do it.

Speaking of other stocks though, did anyone notice AKOL's divergence is turning back to positive again? I haven't gotten back in, but it might see quite a bit of a jump again, IMHO.

g-invest,

Call the regular DTV number. I asked the same thing about a week or so ago and I got a similar response from the rep. She said "not yet" but "have plans to". My ears perked up when I heard the word "plans". No time frames, however.

Naw it's ok, people here are just relatively picky about things. Here's something I noticed too.

I've followed SIRI over the years (back when it was a bitty stock and getting pumped and shorted constantly) and I have to say that QBID kind of reminds me of the old SIRI and ERICY stocks. Given that, I figured I'd do a test to figure out the outstanding shares.

NOTE: THIS IS JUST MY GUESS, BUT I THINK IT IS ACCURATE.

First, my problems with "THE OUTSTANDING SHARE THEORY": It assumes a billion was bought back in December 2004, but then doesn't assume a billion were bought back at the end of the other buyback in March 2005. In which case, the O/S would only be 3 billion of which Frank would own at least half. If that was the case, then there would only be slightly over a billion shares in the float, and evidence would currently point to there being much more than that.

So I've got my own theory. First, take SIRI. It's a stock that was pumped and dumped and shorted and distorted on a lot of forums just like these just a few years back. Suffice to say, there are some institutional investors now, but the majority of stockholders are former daytraders that still stay in the stock. In other words, the average trading volume should mimic QBID's quite well.

So let's take QBID's average daily volume (272 mil) and divide it by SIRI (47 mil), and then take that times SIRI's current O/S (1.32 bil). We get 7.6 billion.

QBID is also less likely to be held by institutional holders, which means that the daily volume is extremely high. I think that while maybe 2 out of every 5 investors in SIRI is long term, maybe only 1 out of every 5 investors in QBID is long term. That's a difference of about 20%, or %80 adjustment needs to be made. Applying that to our number above: 7.6 * .8 = 6.11 billion.

IMHO, 6 billion seems like a reasonable number for the O/S at this point.

Wow, I just calle MoronTV (otherwise known as DTV) after spending 5 mins punching #'s thru their moronic automated system I actually got a human who probably had the IQ of an ANT. Never heard of Qtelevision.

The best part was I asked where I could request a new channel, "I am sorry Sir you can't do that."

My response: "There isn't a web forum or anyway for me to request new channels/networks/tv programs etc?"

Idiot’s response: "No sir there isn't".

I asked for a Supervisor, put on hold, then said the hell with it and hung up.

I knew there was a reason I liked Dish network so much more, DTV unfortunately is a bunch of idiot’s every time I have had to deal with them.

Anyway, if someone has a better number than 1-888-777-2454 for DTV let me know so I can try to talk to someone who at least has a high school GED. I would like to at a minimum request Qtelevision.

Don’t get me wrong I still would love to see Qtelevision on DTV and I would even activate DTV again and subscribe to Q but I do dislike DTV with a passion.

I Have Direct TV at my house. They let you log onto their web site with your name and account number. Once you are in, you can request a channel. They say that they will respond within 2-3 biz days.

I requested Q Television Network over the weekend. I will post what their answer is.

The Q is going to have company.

SHOWTIME Networks Participates in Major Gay Pride Events Throughout The U.S.
PR Newswire - June 07, 2005 13:10

NEW YORK, June 7, 2005 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Showtime Networks, which has given consumers a place to watch quality lesbian and gay programming with the SHOWTIME original series THE L WORD and QUEER AS FOLK, will serve as a sponsor for numerous gay and lesbian festivals and events during the 2005 Pride season. Beginning now and running through November, Showtime Networks will participate in approximately 20 pride events and festivals across the nation, attended by over 4 million LGBT people.

Showtime Networks has secured at least two booths at sponsored Pride festivals. Each booth will promote the groundbreaking series QUEER AS FOLK as well as the return of THE L WORD for a third season. Ilene Chaiken, the executive producer and creator of the hit series THE L WORD, will serve as one of the Grand Marshals at the San Francisco Pride Parade (June 26). Additionally, LGBT lobbyist Arlene Isaacson, who is featured in the SHOWTIME documentary SAME SEX AMERICA, will speak at the New York Pride Rally (June 19). Other Pride events include Los Angeles (June 12), Dallas (June 11), Boston (June 11), Washington D.C. (June 12), Philadelphia (June 12), Cleveland (June 18), Atlanta (June 24), Columbus (June 25), Seattle (June 25-26), Chicago (June 26), Raleigh (October 3), and more. In many instances, Showtime Networks will partner with LOGO (MTV Networks' television network for gay and lesbian viewers) as well as local affiliates. A complete list of Pride events and dates can be found on the Showtime Networks website at sho.com/pride.

Showtime Networks will also sponsor various gay and lesbian film festivals. This includes NewFest, an international gay and lesbian film festival held in New York City from June 2-12, in which the company serves as a Presenting Sponsor and an exclusive sponsor of the Showtime Vanguard Award. Showtime Networks will also be involved in three Los Angeles OutFest events including the 2005 Queer Brunch at Sundance as a presenting sponsor, and a major sponsor of Outfest Wednesdays, a weekly screening event, and an exclusive sponsor of OutFest 2005.

The company is also working with various advocacy groups as sponsors. This includes the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), in which as a silver sponsor, SHOWTIME will have recognition at 23 regional dinners and appear in HRC's quarterly newsmagazine entitled Equality. Additionally, Showtime Networks will be a Diamond Sponsor for the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force Leadership Awards on June 13 in New York City which will honor former US Senator Tom Daschle.

Winsum: I guess the major difference here is that Showtime has a national broadcast to show the country what it is filming, blanket across the nation. And "Q" does not, so whatever they film at the pridefest it cannot be a national broadcast as we do not have carriers to assist us with the task. One would think that this is much bigger for Showtime. We may have better programming but not many people can actually see it.

Frank, its time to release the carrier information.

GO QBID!!!! Long and Strong [Big Grin]

No CHDT, Sherlock. I believe that is exactly WHY there is no price movement. When Frank is done buying shares, he'll make a phone call... (IMO)

And Mousetrap, let me explain something one last time. It's OK to give a heads up about another stock... ONCE. But, no one wants you starting a conversation about it here. That's what your other SEVEN threads are for. By the way, seven threads imply that you are someone who is ignorant of this message board etiquette. Most of us prefer to have all info on a stock in ONE thread.

Also, when your threads are basically MONOLOGUES, it gives the appearance of someone who is desperate and pathetic.

You are CHDT's own worst enemy. Thought you should know.
