we suspect that they may be the telephoney company that Q has struck a deal with for later this year. That Verizon PR was talking about thier upcoming project.

its speculation that seems to add up.

“We were thrilled to discuss being a premium channel for a new large telephony company that is going to enter into the cable arena later this year,” Olsen continued. “We are still in discussions with them, and can’t discuss the name of the company at this time.”

Still in talks. Looks good though!

We are a long way away from realistc predictions Noah,IMO,we need the law firm to do there thing and get us onto an exchange. Then we will know what Q consists of,then all the number crunchers on this thread can give us an idea of what we are worth pps.

Me, I am hoping for .05 by end of summer! Nothing to back me up though.

Commerical Closet: Gay Media Advertising Rebounds, Outperforms General Media
by Michael Wilke

Gay media is back and better than ever. Advertising revenues bounced back in 2004, with major increases for gay magazines, newspapers and web sites outperforming the growth of general media.

For PlanetOut, the parent company that includes Gay.com and PlanetOut.com, it was the company's biggest advertising year yet. PlanetOut generated total ad revenues of $6.54 million, a whopping 41.3% increase from $4.63 million in 2003. By comparison, the overall online ad industry also surged 33% in 2004, according to the Internet Advertising Bureau, while advertising in all media rose more modestly to 6.3%, per the Myers Report.

Mark Elderkin, co-founder of Gay.com and president of PlanetOut, says 2004 was "an amazing year with strong advertising growth for our business."

PlanetOut's next largest competitor, HIM Media, which represents 365Gay.com Gaywired.com and Lesbianation.com, also enjoyed a 25% increase in revenues to $500,000 last year, according to HIM president Matt Skallerud.

Similarly, the decade old Gay Market Press Report, produced annually by gay newspaper rep firm Rivendell Media and ad agency Prime Access Inc., found that ad spending in gay and lesbian publications reached $207 million for the year, an increase of 28.4% over 2003. That compares to a similar 26.7% lift in newspapers overall, per the Newspaper Association of America, and 11.1% growth in magazines, according to the Publishers Information Bureau.

Like the general market, most of the growth in gay print was experienced by local publications instead of national ones, the Gay Market Press report says. Local gay newspapers experienced a 53.9% increase in ad revenues, while national gay magazines generally saw just a 2.5% increase.

Nonetheless, things were rosier for OUT magazine than the rest in its class, according to Joe Landry, publisher of LPI Media's OUT and The Advocate, which are included in the Gay Press Report. Landry says OUT was up 26% in ad pages, and Advocate up 7%, as measured by TNS/PIB. ³We saw overwhelming ad growth. It was incredible,² he says about OUT.

New advertisers continue to seek out the gay market, including Advantage flea control from Bayer, Atkins, Casio, Dell, Eastman Kodak, Eclipse gum from Wrigley, Edge shave gel from S.C. Johnson, Intel, L'Oreal for Vive shampoo and Men's Expert skin care. Oral B tooth brushes from Braun-Philips, Panasonic, Pepsi Cola Co., Scion from Toyota, Sony, Starbucks, Westin and Wyndham hotels.

Previously, LGBT print media suffered three consecutive years of revenue declines -- dousing enthusiasm of the Gay Press Report's publishers from publicizing the data. (The report tracks ads only from April editions of 139 North American gay publications and projects the data for the year -- an approach criticized by some.)

Major growth categories in the Gay Press Report included Health/Fitness/Grooming, with a 87.2% increase, and alcoholic beverages, up 76.5 %.

Customized Gay Ads On the Rise

The report also found that customized ads for gay readers experienced a dramatic increase, surging 242% from major corporations such as Delta, IBM, L'Oreal, Orbitz, Wyndham and others. Interestingly, national publications received only a 3% share of the increase, with the rest going to local publications.

LPI's Landry predicts gay creative ads will rise but is cautions they are not a panacea for success. "If they're done well, they¹re terrific," he says. "If not, they¹re like any other ad."

By contrast, PlanetOut's Elderkin projects little increases in customized ads, though banner ads are a different breed than print. "The development of unique gay creative is not necessarily the right approach. The overall quality of a campaign¹s creative execution, and its alignment with the brand¹s general market messaging, most often has the greatest impact."

Following the burst of the "Internet bubble," as companies moved away from online advertising, PlanetOut strengthened its non-advertising revenue sources. Advertising still accounts for only 26% of PlanetOut's total 2004 revenue, while 65% comes from personal ad fees, and 10% from retail sales of items like trendy underwear and DVDs. Gay.com and PlanetOut have more than 3.4 million combined active American members, 127,500 of whom are paid, the company's financial statement said.

With the anticipated June launch of media giant Viacom's gay cable network LOGO, Elderkin believes the channel will increase awareness of the GLBT community with advertisers and bring them even more mainstream. "It will help show people that being gay is something not to be afraid of," he says. Elderkin also anticipates companies will allocate bigger budgets to gay advertising overall, because of the higher costs to advertise on television.

LOGO's arrival will certainly have a significant impact on gay media sales, bringing greater attention to the market, and confidence to advertisers who already work with Viacom for other networks. LOGO so far has announced founding sponsors just from Paramount (in the Viacom family), Subaru, and Orbitz, but will attract more in the coming year as advertisers sort through their growing variety of choices.

(With reporting by Eric Noll.)

Frank, thanks for getting us Orbitz,we know that they pay well, so go get us some more [Big Grin]

The "Q' will bring in some bank with the ads.

Noah!

No! You're not crazy! But I've got to agree with Rich, Doc & Penny on this, to early for predictions.

However I will say this. There are no "Genuine" Broadcasting National TV Networks that currently trade for less than a dollar a share. It would appear that QBID is well on it's way to becoming just that.

And let me add that I have a core position that I will not let go of for less than $1.25!

As there has been nothing but good news over the long past while, the assembling of the web always has a central point. IMHO, at this point, it is not news of a carrier but news of moving off the "PINK SHEETS". As many have indicated, no one wants to invest in a risky pink sheet and it is not allowed for institutions to invest until QBID is at least OTCBB. I think that carriers are very cautious and waiting also for Frank to change exchanges. I also agree that the Legal firm has told Frank to reduce his float.

Even if Frank does reduce the float by another 1 billion shares, I don’t think it will be the last buy back. I think buy backs will continue until the float is under 1 billion. This in itself will give all of us the 1 $ figure we all thrive for. Remember the smaller the float, the more demand because less is available.

The next issue that will cause a major pps move is the release of the filings. Total share count and all the rest of the numbers that are at this point speculative. This should come shortly after the move to the other exchange as it will have to be put forward. With just those 2 obstacles out of the way, a whole new avenue will be opened. The following math is not unrealistic and posted courtesy of another investor:

I just got back from dinner with some fellow QBID investors. The topic of QBID's future pps popped up...and from our discussion...this is what we came up with...keep in mind that three of the other investors are very conservative engineers...You should have seen the table clothe when we were done...chicken scratch everywhere...lol

1 Year PPS projection

20-30 Million Gays and Lesbians in the US (that are out of the closet...this is a very conservative stat)

3% ROI (marketing effort)= 900,000 subscribers by year 1

900,000 x $9.95 = $8,955,000 x 50% (industry standard...cable companies cut) = $4,477,500/mo or $53,730,000/year

Advertisment/Founding Sponsor program...20 spots at $250,000 per advertiser or $5,000,000/year

Industry average is $2,500.00 per commercial x 8-10 commercials per hour or $20,000 per hour x 8760 hours per year (24/7 programming) = $175,200,000/year

Total Revenue

$53,730,000 (subscription per year based on 900K subscribers by year 1)
$5,000,000 (Founding Sponsor program based on 20 spots)
$175,200,000 (Commercials based on Industry standards of $2500 per commercial/8-10 per hour...24/7 programming)

Total Revenue by year 1

$233,930,000/year

Expenses (assuming 40%)

$93,572,000

Net Operating Income

$140,358,000

Per-share earnings

$140,358,000 / 4.5 Billion (assuming 9 Billion OS...after buyback of 50%) = .0311 earnings per share

assuming a very conservative (S&P) PE ratio of 18 and 20...

P/E of 18 = .56 pps
P/E of 20 = .62 pps

However...QBID is a very speculative stock...and could possibly have a P/E ratio of 30, 40 or 50...

P/E of 30 = .93 pps (our pick by year 1)
P/E of 40 = $1.24 pps
P/E of 50 = $1.55 pps

We agreed that a PE ratio of 30 was very conservative for such a speculative stock...if QBID's soft launch goes off without a hitch...and they PR a major advertiser within one week of the soft launch...our views of QBID being a short term hold will change...we would consider holding a position long term (1-3 years)

.93 x 4.5 Billion = $4.185 Billion Market cap...

At this stage of the game the market cap is the value that the world of stock market investors has placed on the company (at least for today) Much of this perceived value is due to the expectations of a company's future prospects. Market cap is not dictated by how "big" a company is.

Here are some related links on advertising and calculating PE ratios...

hi q freind ,

thanx for the response to my questions and comments i am so happy that you are all such faithful qbid holders like i am.like ive said in the past due to my rather relatively small position in q i am hoping this run takes longer than it probably will,so that i can accumulate the size position that i would like to have for this possible future run up in pps.good luck to you all today in your portfolio's.im still holding many others that have turned to s#it basically but i continue to like qbid, and ican.maybe even btxi the new cdvj.i know this company in the past was a scam and possibly still is but i think that with the new ceo and the herbal industry being pretty good biz that this stock may run again in the near future.im not reccomending though as it has run and flopped already and the history of cdvj is very shady.sorry for bringing btxi to this thread i know it has its own but i sorta wanted opinion on this stock as its own thread is sorta dead.

the q is always new
my trust in its success
will make us all work much less
build yourself a triangle multi empire
and soon one day you shall retire.

just a bit of inspirational poetry for those that dont mind a little pumping hehe.sorry no dd i trade on faith alone which is pretty much insanity if you ask any normal person who is into investing.but then again alot of people think you are all insane for even touching pinksheet stocks.glta.

sincerely noah.

Glad to hear that you got filled. I think we may see .002 again before a climb anywhere. IMHO I think we may hover around these prices till more info is released on exchange or buyback.I know none of us want that to happen including myself, but it will be the biggest push needed for a jump start. Also stimulate more interest from outsiders.
