Viacom to Buy Q in June
My husband's best friend from college who works for Viacom in New York said that Viacom was going to buy Q along with all its programming and staff who want to make the change over to Logo.
Viacom has been footing the bills of Q for the last several months and is paying for Q advertisments. Viacom is footing the salary for the big names who have joined the Q team the last couple of months. You all know it takes money to get big names. Viacom wants Q to be as strong as possible before the buy out. The stronger Q looks at the time of the announcment the easier for the transition. Viacom wants Q to be at ever major event before the buy out to get the word out about Gay television.
This is why Q has not been looking to get up on any carriers at this time. Oxygen is being paid by viacom to run Q on the move to promote the show before the buy out. Q on the move will be fully backed by viacom along with all Q's live programming. Viacom is again paying Q bills and paid for the NCTA boths. Many of the new employees that have signed on with Q is because of the Viacom deal.
Many from Viacom are starting to buy shares of Q since word has leaked out. Jim said Q stock price should increase when Viacom announces the Deal the 1st of June. The deal is worth billions from what Jim was told. Frank and staff will be moved into the logo family. The main goal of frank and Summer Redstone is to get a strong and Family channel up and running for the GLBT community.
We have been friends with Jim for over 12 years and he knows what he is talking about. I read alot of stuff on this board and call it a rumor for now but, wait and watch. June will be big for Q viewers who want to watch a great channel for the GLBT community.
Hope this helps I am very excited for many of my friends are gay and I think this is a needed thing for them.

Ghosty, it is self-evident that you own no shares of QBID stock. Who in their right mind would bash a stock that they own? However, if you do own shares and continually choose to bash the company, then I really have no idea what is wrong with you, but I can safely say losing money is the least of your problems right now. I suggest you do one of the following:

The Palm Springs Police force has just broken into the offices of Q Television Network using a search warrant (brought about by angry family members of QBID shareholders as the shareholders all reside in mental institutions for spending the last 5 years checking for QBID Pr's on a 24/7 basis, the elusive BIG PR, the Holy Grail of PRs, that would supposedly improve their lifes ten-fold).
The police could only find a few recordings of QLive that played over continously on an offshore web-site and was never actually seen on TV. Also found on the wall was a picture of George Michael and George W. Bush holding hands as they both found out that they have something in common.
As for Frank Olsen, he is the richest man in the world living on the Cook Islands for tax protection. His favorite quote is "Thank God for QBID shareholders continously hyping my company so I could sell billions of shares for me and my friends". It was reported he gave $10 million to AIDS research.
William Shatner, asked to comment on the situation stated "I have experienced this phenomena before, could it be that today's Qbidians are yesterday's Trekkies?"

1)Someone said earlier that the website changed. It was said Q television removed phili and chicago to request carriers.
2)If anybody writes RCN, John will reply telling you that Q Television will be offered(philly and chicago), but not sure exactly when. I replied making sure it was not an auto generated email, and it was not. I got a real human reply answering my questions(but he couldn't answer when Q television will air).
3)If you go back and read Frank's old PR(--Oct. 20, 2004): "It is so exciting to see my dream becoming a reality," said Frank Olsen, President and CEO of Q Television Network. "As I have said time and time again, our goal is to provide quality community programming for the gay, lesbian and the curious audience. Our next targeted city is Chicago, IL."
4)Q television ran into agreement issues with Carriers about Oxygen...well it makes sense if you have Q television as a subscription service on one channel, and free on another (both promoting a good show). ...don't get me wrong, I do find it strange the way Q handled this screw up with investors.
5)Chicago Games! (no brainer)
Its also good to know that Frank said about 6 months ago we are going to start to be a reporting company. Strangly, about 6 months later we got an acutal update saying we are in the final stages or becoming a reporting company.

how long have you been here? we have been here for a lot longer and have seen Ghosty perform on many occations and on several stock boards.
No one is being called a basher that has not earned it.

Just heard there was only (1) Winner of the Mega-Bucks Lottery last night. $205,000,000.00 for that Lucky Person. I truly believe that there will be MANY Winners with Qtv, definitely not in the ball park with the Mega Bucks, but for sure a lot of Investors will be very happy. Anyone Is May 1 confirmed for Oxygen airing? I don't get excited about announced dates and don't worry about missed dates . . . too many good reasons why events don't happen as planned. But when Q does show up on Oxygen, we should see some upside movement. I hope to get some more cheap shares by then.
