tech problems solved, RCN says it need time to promote and advertise.
==========================================
oh ya thats right, foolish of me to think any of that might be done before scheduled launch...is it just me or are a lot of these companies out of touch with normal business thinking??? i know rcn is bankrupt and the main reason is cost of building a system versus dollars coming in and i know Q is not going to be the endless money tree but it will bring in a nice chunk of change. ya think maybe you might want to test the function before the announced launch date and maybe at least talk about the new station at the coffee counter. this is stuff even Moe, Larry & Curly could get right.

I agree with you, just stating what their reply was to me from Downing about the delay.

I think it boils down to one thing - money problems. How long before the R/S happens. Possibly before launch? Something is not right and it points to cash.

Oh wait you're right. I did see the PR stating that there were other carriage agreements about to be signed. I think that was back in May after the convention... Right around the same time we were supposed to get an accurate count of the outstanding shares, as promised in a PR, and right before the PR about the big media blitz that was promised. Yes I was definitely misguided. Apologies for ever doubting the accuracy of the Frank Olsen PR.

Thanks for that blast from the past, 1BigTip.
However, here's a more recent picture of what the Q looks like.
(I'm just having some fun with you. Don't worry. October is one day closer than it was yesterday...)

I checked several pinksheets on this site and all the O/S were skewd. You know that number is wrong and a little research shows that they are just using any old data in the O/S, and market cap numbers for pinks. CMKX only shows 680 million O/S tradable. There volume is 4 times higher then that.

Robin I woould like to shake your hand. You actually used quite a bit of your time to battle the idiocracy around the BB world and especially this thread. You gave an example of a pumper that I and many others have long known existed, glad to see the poster exposed to certain ppl that may not be aware. To sum it up, just thanks for spending that time to educated some on how things work in the projects(BB and pink stocks). Oh yea and the original pumper of this stock certainly realized and told people after the first delay. But now he is made fun of and considered to be nothing but a basher. Just wanted to say that after seeing the post about Fast.

I want to buy on the upswing, after they launch. I was ready to buy on the 5th but the rummors and no launch stopped me. I think as a trend stock it has possibilities. The lack of PR is what concerns me.

There is lots of talk about advertisers here. After a little thought on the situation, name me a pay channel that uses advertising? Thats what it is a subscrition channel isnt it? I subscribe to HBO and see no commercials other than HBO promoting their own movies and shows. They have no advertisers. Maybe Frank will have the first subscription channel with commercials....Explain this one to me, cause I am curious...Whooo Hooooo To the MOON!!!!

Thanks dude It's nice to know there is some glimmer of hope alive on the board. I don't suffer fools lightly, and I don't think anyone else should either... especially when your money is at stake. Apparently we're in the minority though in that regard. PT Barnum said there's a sucker born every minute... What he didn't know at the time is that they'd all end up on the internet.

Genuine "Broadcasting" National TV Networks do not trade for less than a dollar a share!
Target aideince sports disposable income of $500,000,000,000.00! That only works out to aprox $24,000 a year per person which is not hard to believe.
If all 15 billion authorised shares were in the O/S & we only saw .1% of that in revenue we would be trading over a buck a share.
Allow me to pump a little more. This won't happen overnight but anyone that has a little dicipline & holds this will see alot more than .005 per share.
If I don't have anything good to say about a stock, I sell it & move on.

Just received an unsolicited fax touting QTV...
A friend who knows I have invested in QTV called to say he got a fax from "The Stock Spotlight" featuring QTV... he sent it to me... this one page report says that TV advertising in 2001 accounted for nearly 40% of all advertising that year and TV advertising represented over $50 Billion in 2001. It says advertising has been shifting from broadcast to cable...
About QTV, it claims that "QTV is a product of eleven years of careful planning and development." It describes the target audience and says the programming will cost $7.95/month on a subscription basis. It claims: "The network is replicating the successful Hispanic and African American niche audience business model, but to a market that has disposable income larger than both markets combined."
It claims that the "Network" is "supported by selected Fortune 500 company commercials called 'Founding Sponsors' which will limit the amount of commercials per day to approximately one quarter seen on other networks. On the Q Television Network, movies and plays will not be interrupted, while sports, talk shows and news will have standard commercial breaks. Additionally, live programming will comprise about 25% of the daily broadcast."
It further states that: "A portion of Q Television's programming is based on interactive technoloogy, developed during the Gulf war, so viewers can proactively participate in the daily scheduled programming."
Footnotes say, "A third party has retained...[The Stock Spotlight]...for a fixed fee of ten thousand dollars for creation and distribution of this report. Individuals thereof may have positions in securities referred to herein and may make purchases or sales at any time...."
