They did the same thing to my car, but when I looked inside, it was empty. Then I tried to start it, and it wouldn't start. I asked the mechanic what was up and he told me they were waiting to be added to the billing cycle so they could get the engine. He does keep telling me he has the engine, he just can't install it right now. I ended up pushing it up a hill and selling it to someone at the top. I feel bad because I drove by in my new car yesterday and saw the old one stalled at the bottom of that hill. I guess the new owner called the shop and they still won't install that engine.

I've been lurking here, while making trades along the way. Got out of AUML this morning at 1.08, and have been watching that and GZFX. ADPR has made a good run the last couple of days.
Feeling better about the Q, and trying to add shares, little by little, at these prices.

We all have red in our portfolios right now and I think their quick expectations at being RICH! has shortened the patience level. It's all good though and I can certainly understand how they feel; I mean it sincerely because I too am seeing red everyday and just can't seem to hit a nugget or get my timing right (but it's getting better). I suppose what makes it different is that I make my own decisions and don't try to blame my choices on other people or things. I also have taken the responsibility to know that stock investing is risky some you win and some you lose. Quite honestly I am still surprised though because it seems the ones who are most upset are the same ones who have already or continue to make bunch of money.

Ah well I am going to hold tight with most of my shares and try to turn a buck or two when the opportunity presents but no matter what I am keeping at least half of my Q for a long term (1 year minimum).

Ok enough serious chatter... I am packing my hopeful vegas luggage for the Q trip. I'm thinking we may as well get a kitchenette to hold all those pickles and turkey basters :P. I'm glad to see your still around and post every now and then. Let's stay positive and hopeful but at the same time not bet the mortgage on it!

GREAT POST...

I AM STILL HERE--TURKEY BASTER ISN'T GETTING MUCH ACTION--MAYBE THAT'S THE PROBLEM HERE.

I NEED TO SEND FRANK AND CO A CASE OF TURKEY BASTERS!! LOL

I HOPE THIS STOCK RECOVERS FROM THE AFTERSHOCK OF THE ALLSTOCKS DRAMA!! I HAVE BEEN LURKING--HOPING THAT WOULD BE BETTER FOR THE STOCK..

I WOULD RATHER LAUGH.. LOTS MORE FUN...I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS BEST FOR QBID. JUST TRYING TO KEEP MY HEAD ABOVE WATER--EMOTIONALLY STILL DROWNING...THAT SHALL PASS..

I THINK THERE ARE MANY STRONG HOLDERS--VOLUME IS LOW--PPS STAYING EVEN OR CLOSE.

WAITING GAME.....YAWN.

NOW WHERE DID I PUT THE TURKEY BASTER??? I HOPE I DID NOT THROW IT OUT!! PANIC....LOL

Not a bad looking house. Looks like if the auction closes, you'll get twice the value for it. If that house with that much land was here in San Diego, the market value depending on where it was located would be 2-3 million dollars.

I was there in 1993 for Special Warfare Training on Coronado Island and the housing cost was extreme.

Oh my, now I have to bid on yet another house! I've had stock since January--love the concept--it is somewhat addicting. Man, if I were to actually win one or more of these. . . .can you image the taxes? Beautiful place--good luck.

Oilman, I do like the idea of not having people tracking through my house while I'm trying to pack. We may go this route when we stop talking and really decide to move. Thanks for the info.

Alright oilman, I just opened up a prizewise account (I gave you the reference) and as soon as they fix the problem they are having with my account (not very positive from an investors point of view) I will buy some tickets for your casa.

Hey, what happened? I click on the QBID thread, but I seem to be at the TFCT thread.

Must be a glitch.

(Don't worry, I'm just kidding around. Prizewise seems to be the only thing keeping the QBID thread alive today.)

DUH.. TO MANY SKITTLES!!

Stage 1 - Accumulation. Stock is quiet, trading sideways and without a lot of volatility. Most everyone ignores the stock because it has no sizzle. Insiders hold large blocks of stock and quietly gear up for the distribution.

Stage 2 - Breakout. Volume jumps up, psychological barriers are broken. Insiders begin to tell their friends of upcoming significant fundamental change. Pros take notice and buy the stock on the coat tails of the well informed. The public ignores it because they have not read about the company in the paper yet. It must be a scam.

Stage 3 - Uptrend. As a larger audience learns of the company and its promise, more buying comes in to the stock and it begins to climb. Pros begin to sell, but slowly. Average investor begins to buy.

Stage 4 - Pullback. The stock has gone up too fast, and some profit taking arrives. The jumpy investor who got the entry timing right but lacks confidence in his or her decision sells the stock with a small profit, and smiles in the mirror. The Pro holds on, Average Investor looks through the newspaper to find justification for ownership of the shares.

Stage 5 - Resumption of the Uptrend. The pull back is short lived, and the stock bounces and continues higher. The wannabe regrets the sell, but provides self counsel on the merit of making a profit, albeit a small one. The Pro might sell a little bit more, but still holds the majority of the original position. The Average Investor is getting excited now, and thinks about what could have been if only he had bought when he first noticed the stock.

Stage 6 - Exhaustion of the Uptrend. The media takes notice, and communicates the company's merits to the masses. The masses buy the stock, and it goes up sharply with strong volume. The Pros sell with enthusiasm. The Average Investor owns it now, and is telling everyone who will listen. The wannabe Pro jumps back on, after all, he was smart enough to buy it when the trend started, so he knows the stock well. Will hope make it go higher?

Stage 7 - Gravity Works. Pro selling begins to weigh on the uptrend, and the stock fails to go higher despite high volumes. The stock starts to go down instead of up, and the Pro is almost sold out. The Average Investor continues to cheer lead, hoping to rally support. The wannabe ignores what the market is telling him, taking a loss is too painful to consider. The company is featured on the cover of a magazine.

Stage 8 - The Second Guess. The stock bounces and starts to go back up. The wannabe Pro averages down while the Average Investor gets back to advising friends of his stock picking acumen. Pros sell their remaining holdings and begin to look for another deal to play, or perhaps start short selling the stock.

Stage 9 - Out of Gas. The bounce is a fake out, and the stock moves lower again. The public own this stock, and they have no more power to buy. The Pro are making money on the short sales now, but are despised by the masses. Calls for short selling to be made illegal are made by the Average Investor, after all, the short sellers are the demons causing the sell off.

Stage 10 - Dead Cat Bounce. The Average Investor and the wannabe Pro have no pain tolerance left, and finally sell for a big loss. The short selling Pros are the only buyers to take the share off their hands, and provide the needed liquidity. The stock bounces, and some short term traders make a quick profit. The Average Investor either swears to never buy a stock again, or tells lively stories over drinks about the one that could have been.

Stage 11 - Post Mortem. Pros have forgot about the stock and are considering carpet samples for their new home in Florida. Average Investor continues to follow the company and buys loads of cheap stock to try and overcome the regrettable loss.

The stock market is mean. You can be a good analyst, but if you can't overcome the psychological traps of trading, you will do what the crowd does. To be successful, you have be one step ahead of the crowd, and trade with unemotional discipline. There are strategies to take advantage of each stage of the market cycle that can be applied just by looking at a stock chart. They just require a bit of knowledge.

As usual I'm researching QBID to no limit!

I only found out about it in March so I knew nothing about it in February. Look at this news that came out in Feb, which caused it to spike from .0001 - .0027.

There have been no bashers about it lately thats a good thing but I may be stirring the soup again with this. Sorry.

QBID PR : Feb 09, 2004 (The Business Press - Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News via
COMTEX) -- A Palm Springs media company that specializes in programming for gays
and lesbians will launch a cable television network.

The Triangle Television Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Triangle
Multi-Media Limited, will begin broadcasting within 90 days, Chief Executive
Officer Frank Olsen said Feb. 4.

TTN, as the network will be known, will be available to about 10,000 cable
television companies throughout the United States and Puerto Rico for $2 a month
for each subscriber, Olsen said.

Time Warner Cable television has agreed to make the signal available to any of
its local system operators that want to broadcast it, Olsen said.

The fledgling network must persuade other cable carriers, large and small, to
pick up TTN's signal.

"We're going to throw sand up in the air and hope the wind catches it," said
Olsen, who has spent 40 years working in radio and television. "It's a slow
business and it can take a while for things to catch on, but we think this can
work. The cable networks can send the signal to whoever wants it without
offending anyone.

"I'll be happy if we get one subscriber," Olsen laughed.

Triangle Television will employ six people to start, and has spent about $6
million developing the network.

Triangle Television could spend another $2 million before it begins broadcasting
its signal by satellite.

Triangle Network will broadcast taped gay athletic contests and fashion shows,
among other programs.

The network will broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but much of its
programming will be repeated several times, standard practice among most
specialized cable television networks.

Olsen declined to discuss advertising rates, but selling advertising on Triangle
Network could be difficult, he said.

"I worked for a black radio station during the 1960s, and a lot of companies
didn't want to buy [advertising] with us," he said. "This could be the same
thing. Advertisers don't want to pick up one gay person and lose two
Christians."

Triangle Multi-Media formerly owned and operated two radio stations in Seattle
that broadcast gay and lesbian programming.

After selling those stations three years ago, Triangle has concentrated on
developing its television venture.

The business was propped up by investors, but the going has been rough, Olsen
said. "We've made a lot of mistakes. We rented buildings that were too big and
we hired too many people.

"But we're going to get this done. I'm 100 percent sure we're going to get this
started."

Palm Springs, with a history of tolerance toward gays and lesbians, is a logical
place for a gay-oriented television network to operate, said Milton Jones,
publisher of Desert Publications Inc. and the Jones Agency, a public relations
firm.

Jones is leasing space to Triangle Broadcasting in his building at 303 No.
Indian Canyon Drive.

ME TOO!!!
(Cuz it would mean we have a carrier contract, lol. )

Thanks for reposting that one, BigTip. It reminds me of my initial excitement surrounding this company, which made me buy the stock, and it bears repeating at this stage of the game. Reading it again has re-energized my belief that this is a real vision, and it will take time, but will get there. Nice post.

Another nice post Big. I have read this before. Looks like his vision is starting to be realized. He has come along way. He has been burned by his PR and voice PR. He must be gunshy and very cautious what he puts out. Vertical this week. September will be the month to watch. Still holding and don't scare easily.
Only my opinion and you know what they say about that.

Opinions are like A**holes,,everyone has one.

Sundance Ties Knot With Affiliates at ‘Out Loud’ Revolution Events

By Shirley Brady

A year after Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy burst onto the nation's TV sets, gay television couldn't be hotter.

With four gay- and lesbian-targeted networks (Logo, here!, QTN and Pridevision) ramping up, Sundance Channel stepped up its own efforts to reach out to its key constituents with its sixth annual "Out Loud: Gay Everyday in June," an on-air and off-screen campaign that taps into Pridefest activities across the nation. Besides showing the premiere of Margaret Cho's Revolution, the network premiered a slate of films and documentaries exploring the themes of family and home within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender com-munity.

Sundance extended its 2004 Out Loud marketing efforts by rallying behind the first -ever "Tie the Knot" mass commitment ceremony that took place June 1 at The Abbey in West Hollywood.

Sundance issued invites, streamed the event live on its website and brought Ms. Cho along to host the historic occasion. Sundance still is celebrating the event on its website, where visitors can view photos or send messages on the "wedding toast" section. The network also gave wedding gifts to the couples taking part.

"We were [in part] supported with a print matching fund program in 35 [cable] affiliate markets, with affiliates investing in the campaigns in their markets," says Sundance Channel SVP of marketing Kirk Iwanowski.

In the cable markets that followed the L.A. kick-off June 1, Sundance created an Out Loud event featuring an advance preview of Cho's Revolution in association with cable affiliates and local marketing partners. It's part of Sundance's attempt to connect to this underserved community and bring its on-air creativity to cable affiliates.

"We just recently completed a 12-month segmentation analysis that really helped us home in on who the Sundance Channel subscriber currently is, and the size of the prospective target," Iwanowski says. "We will utilize this to influence programming decisions and to work in partnership with our distributors to help them target that audience locally."

The research is helping the channel understand how its existing and prospective viewers consume television and media, and thus influences its marketing, such as the decision to invest heavily in national and local NPR instead of conventional radio. And it also helped Sundance make history on June 1.

Sorry.

[b]QBID PR : Feb 09, 2004 (The Business Press - Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News via

You're right about that PR being a spark but many of us bought on Feb 2nd because volume spiked & stayed that way!

In any event I really hope energy hasn't ebbed & people continue to call cable companies.

I almost wish Frank could let us know which areas have recieved the most consistant amount of requests & how much we need to put us over.
