It says in the Washintong Observer Weekly there are 2 ways to gain profits for networks: 1. by subscription fee
2. by advertisements which create concerns: general mass audience should be faced, programs needed to be scrutinized,lots of limitations received...
Paid-channel ShowTime's first season shows in 2000 earned critique as "It's the first time something without prejudice but with illuctration full of gays' self-reflection ....reality" ... part is in simplified Chinese that I can't recognize.Sorry.

i've also been thinking maybe this will end up in the InDemand section of the cable lineup right next to the playboy channel..ppl could pay for a few hours or monthly...a few articles that have been posted here from differant cable magizines have stated that to get on the main channel line up is next to impossible..being a g/l format does give us a chance but the amount and quality of programming available right now might hinder that...those articles also state cable is willing to pay for something new and differant in its veiw on demand areana....going to the InDemand section would work...we could use advertizing just like public tv and get monthly checks from paying veiwers it would also show if demand was big enough for the normal premium section...just a thought no real info

Off another Board, good news if it's true but I think it is.
TWO MAJOR CARRIERS HAVE SIGNED!
Frank responded to a rather harsh message I sent him recently and told me that not only does he have two signed carriers, but expects another signature today. He says if he gets it today, PR should be Monday by Deveney!

Call me crazy... but I like to gamble and still buy pieces of QBID! this board will be the end of me LOL. After all the quiet episodes and rants that have gone on I feel that QBID is taking a step back from always trying to appease the "shareholders". I know that they are trying to accomplish something and when they have news to tell I know they will. Worst case scenarion is I lose all my money... could always be worse.

Holy crap, they were just talking about Martha Stewart on the Tony Bruno show (a sports show in San Diego, Orange County, and LA) and wanted a stockbroker to call in and explain why the stock went up, so some guy called and said he was stockbroker and as soon as they put him on the air, he talked about QBID. They asked what that was and he explained it and admitted he didn't know a thing about Martha Stewart. I don't think he was really a stockbroker, just some sharholder who called the show, but I couldn't believe my ears.

Holy Crap. I took my car into the mechanics yesterday for a tune up and I went to pick it up today to find out they redid my whole car. The body of it is completly different. I asked him what happened. He said, its now the Q Mobile. He pointed to the QBID logo in the back. He said he was fasinated with the stock.

D, I am totally with you here. A lot of folks I think got tired of all the negative vibes. We all have red in our portfolios right now and I think their quick expectations at being RICH! has shortened the patience level. It's all good though and I can certainly understand how they feel; I mean it sincerely because I too am seeing red everyday and just can't seem to hit a nugget or get my timing right (but it's getting better). I suppose what makes it different is that I make my own decisions and don't try to blame my choices on other people or things. I also have taken the responsibility to know that stock investing is risky some you win and some you lose. Quite honestly I am still surprised though because it seems the ones who are most upset are the same ones who have already or continue to make bunch of money.
Ah well I am going to hold tight with most of my shares and try to turn a buck or two when the opportunity presents but no matter what I am keeping at least half of my Q for a long term (1 year minimum).
Ok enough serious chatter... I am packing my hopeful vegas luggage for the Q trip. I'm thinking we may as well get a kitchenette to hold all those pickles and turkey basters :P. I'm glad to see your still around and post every now and then. Let's stay positive and hopeful but at the same time not bet the mortgage on it!
