Deja Q is right. It's an absolute replica of what happened. I'm waiting for the day when the message boards are totally silent about Q. That would be scary.
As far as making that statement - I guess I always saw the glass as half full. Plus I still have money in it so I need to be positive.

Just to clarify my posting of the Hollywood Reporter article earlier today, it's getting criticized on another board for being old news and not enough news, etc...that wasn't the real point. The point was more WHERE it appearered. The Hollywood Reporter is one of THE "books of record" for the Film and Tv industry. A lot of people who previously never heard of us could potentially catch a whiff from this publication. I work in (albeit on the fringes of) the entertainment industry and The Hollywood Reporter is one of the ways we keep track of what deals are going down around us every day. So, it was exciting to me to see Q there. I just called NTI ( http://www.networkteleports.com ) to confirm that they are currently beaming the Q Television signal and they are. I called their hotline and spoke with the receptionist. She knew immediately without having to look it up. I asked if she knew who was carrying the network and she said that she didn't know.
Their phone number is 800-881-5442 if anyone else would like to confirm.

the thing about Q that is starting to worry me is that heretv is up & running and is in the process of beefing up its channel...still it is satalite based and maybe cable will find that distastful but they do have all the funding they need...viacom allready has contracts in the markets we need to be in and of course all the funding they need....add that to the lack of info from Q and it is worrying but the hope springs eternal or at least till middle of september

One thing that never made sense to me, maybe because I wasn't part of it back then so I lack perspective of these past events, is the whole non-announcement of carrier agreements. Every time I hear someone say "they had agreements but they announced them prematurely and the deal fell through" it sticks in my craw a little. They announced a hot product to the public, the carriers had investors (potential customers) calling THEM and they were upset about this and dropped them? Companies pay big money to have phone staffs cold-call us trying to get us to subscribe/upgrade all year long, but a product comes along that has the public calling them instead, and they didn't dig that and dropped the product? I'm adding 2 and 2 but getting 5 here. Any help? Can someone from back then put it in perspective and help me understand that part of what happened? I can see it getting them off on the wrong foot maybe, but not scuttling the whole deal.

I'm only guessing here, and someone correct me if I'm off the mark. I think that they didn't get 'good' phone calls, I think they got 'bad' phone calls. You know, militant Bible thumpers threatening boycotts, etc. so I think they panicked and back-peddled. JMHO though.

The price decline after Sept. 5, 2001 was a few reasons. #1. Sept. 11 slowed everything down including markets. #2. It looks as though they never were on cable, basically just a soft launch on telewhatever. #3. People were selling because they didn't know what was going to happen after Sept. 11th. Thats my take. I THINK IT WAS PURE RUMOR, started on message boards that the stock dropped becuase they spread the word before it happened. That makes no sense to me but what do I know?
ON Sept. 10, 2001 - Frank says "On Wednesday we will begin informing you how to receive TTN. I must remind you again that the fastest way is to contact your local cable company and request your TTN"
I think cable companies knew they wouldn't make money on new networks because people were tuned into CNN and the NEWS for months! So no contracts were signed.
2004 is a different story.

Ok I spent the last 20 hours in my board room with two fellow investors sketching out possabilities. So this is what we came up with.... 1) This is a scam and we go after Frank's assets 2)Frank is actually a good planner and knows he must cover his arshe on the buy back statement and has contracts but has placed a blackout on info to topple pps so they can buy back the O/S to fill the october commitment.
Right now I give it about a 80/20 split with 80% being on the scam side but what the hell I love a long shot!

Thanks, Pharm. I don't see how they are going to avoid "those" types of calls no matter when they make the announcements. They just need to be ready to deal, IMHO. Call the temp agency, hire a few extra phone jockeys and let the mayhem commence. Again, just MHO. Holding long and watching. Might even add tomorrow at this rate. Cheers all.

I agree, but they might have panicked since the contracts weren't actually signed. The only evidence that I can find regarding premature info on contracts in the works is an old hotline update. (paraphrased) Frank says during it, that he'd release carriers when all of the details were finalized and signed. That he'd made that mistake before and he wasn't going to do it again.
