Ed Ingle has two decades of Washington policy and political experience. As Managing Director of Government Affairs for Microsoft, Mr. Ingle manages Microsoft's federal lobbying activities on Capitol Hill and with the Executive Branch, and advises senior management on legislative and political matters that impact the company. Mr. Ingle also serves as Treasurer of Microsoft's Political Action Committee (MSPAC) and chairs its executive committee.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 2003, Mr. Ingle served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Cabinet Affairs in the Bush White House. In that role, he served as liaison with the President's Cabinet Departments, coordinating policy and communications with the Cabinet Secretaries and senior agency staff. Mr. Ingle was Director of Cabinet Coordination for the 2000 Presidential Transition. His first four years in Washington were spent at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Reagan. After leaving OMB, he spent 12 years at Wexler-Walker, a Washington government affairs firm where he represented numerous Fortune 500 companies and major trade association clients before Congress and the Executive Branch.

Mr. Ingle was Director of Speech Operations at the 2000 and 2004 Republican Conventions, and oversaw speech editing at the 1992 and 1996 conventions. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Bryce Harlow Foundation, which promotes high ethical standards in professional advocacy. Mr. Ingle also serves on the board of Operation Hope, a national non-profit organization that promotes financial literacy for inner city youth and adults. And since 1991, he has been a Principal of the Council for Excellence in Government.

Mr. Ingle earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Tennessee, and today serves on the college's Board of Visitors. He has a master's degree in public policy from Indiana University. In 2002, Mr. Ingle was awarded Indiana University's "Alumnus of the Year" by the public policy school.

Alright. For quite sometime I've have thought that Rufus was either extremely smart or in need of a straight jacket. I have tended to believe the straight jacket and after reading his posts tonight, HOW THE HECK IS HE ACCESSING THE INTERNET FROM THE INSANE ASSYLUM?

Sorry but this is way beyond believability.

Looks like someone Rufus looked up on the internet to further confuse the issue. See now everyone should go looking into him and what he was doing at the time.

OT:As I have posted previously, My father recently had a stroke, the following is FIY. I thought I had done enough research prior to helping him and my Mother decide on supplemental Medicare coverage. Well, I was mistaken. According to thier policy they are entitled to 100 days of coverage while in a skilled nursing facility but now I have found out that there are stipulation to those benefits. As long as the patient is making progress according to predetermined Medicare guidelines, that are not easily accessible, the care can be terminated. My father was in the hospital for only a few days and then transeferred to a Skilled Nursing Facility. Once he was there an evaluation was done and Physical therapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational therapy was started. The ironic part is that my Father has been retired for many years and I wondered why Occupational Therapy but that is neither here nor there. After 3 weeks it was determined that he was not making enough progress and the Therapies were discontinued and the insurance and medicare were off the hook. In order to keep him in the facility it will cost $160 a day plus and additional care that is neccessary, like incontinuance charges, application of lotions for the feet or to prevent bed sores, wheelchairs, bed rails, hygiene etc. Basically the $160 covers room and board only.

The reason I bring this up is to inform others that not all is as it seems. With the baby boomers aging and gettting to the point that they may need this type of care in the future, all should be talking with thier parents regarding the possibility of long term care and the insurances available to them before it's too late.

It was too late for my parents who just turned 80 yrs old. People are living long today than ever before and we need to be informed as to how to care for them. I am fortunate that I don't have children and a wife so I can provide the care my parents need. If I had a family there is no way I could be here to take care of them.

I say this for no other reason than to alert those younger than myself, since I'm over 50, of the pratfalls that lie ahead. I know that no one wants to think of this but it is a reality and if you plan ahead it doesn;t have to be a nightmare. Medical and Financial powers of attorney will help to alievate many problems. Living Trusts and wills are a neccisity.

My aunt recently passed away after having a stroke her son, my cousin, was left helpless because he had no standing since no instructions were left. My Aunt having being born in the early 1900's put off making a will or doing any of the things that should be done. Now probate takes over and the fun begins. Family squables, lawyers cuts and of course Good Old Uncle Sam.

If you can take the time to DD stocks you may take a position in, then you should do the same as to what could and may happen in the event of a major health issue for your family. Don't think that parents need to be very old for things to go wrong, My brother had a stroke before he was 55 and hasn't been the same or worked since.

Please do the important DD not just on stocks.

Respectfully
Wally

So, let me see if I've got this straight. Congress gave Rufus a crapload of money through some mandate, to be used to do good things of various nature. And to make that info available to the public, he started CSHD and has those monies are our assets. Now if thats the case, and rufus has all these powerful government connections and what not, how in the world is the SEC even bothering us at all. Couldn't those government high ups just tell the SEC to back off, better yet cant they validate the assets if they were the ones who gave it to rufus?

Wally, very good points....sorry about your situation...

Are you bringing dad home to live with you?...sounds like you have strokes in your family....I hope your doc has told you to take a baby asprin every day for prevention....

Unfortunately, If your dad didn't work a day in his life & lived off welfare his whole life...he would be totally covered, no questions asked....it's only the working class...the middle class, who put into the system that do not get much out if it....

Good Luck with your daddy....you are in my prayers...

Jen, I do geek plays alla time...I've simply learned not to let dough get tied up.

10 & Jen: as long as folks are interested--ie, *not* a distraction-- I could care less. But we had a complaint, on-thread, and I thought, "You know, that *is* is an awful lot of "stuff" without any intervening narrative or discussion. I myself wouldn't want to wade through it all to get caught back up...

make sense?

HINT:

THE FORTIFY AMERICA, FORTRESS AMERICA'S PROGRAM WAS CONCEIVED TO FILL A VOID HERE IN THIS COUNTRY AND THIS HEMISPHERE. THE UNITED NATIONS, OF WHICH WE ARE THE MAJORITY FUNDER OF, HAS IN ITS CHARTER THAT THE USA CANNOT RECEIVE ANY FUNDING OR RELIEF FROM THE UN. ANY COUNTRY THAT WANTS SAID RELIEF OR PROJECT FUNDING MUST SIGN ONTO THE UN's DOCTRINAL PAPER WHICH IS TOTALLY SOCIALIST.

WE HAVE LEAD THE WORLD FOR SIXTY YEARS IN ALMOST EVERY FIELD EXCEPT CHILD BIRTH. THE LAST TWENTY YEARS WE HAVE SEEN A STEADY DECLINE OF OUR STRENGTHS TO OVERSEAS COMPETITORS WHO WE CREATED BY OUR QUEST FOR THE QUICK BUCK AND SHORT SIDEDNESS!!!!!!! WE NEED TO TURN THIS AROUND!!!!!!!

THE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED TO FOCUS OUR BEST MINDS ONTO A SELECT LIST OF ACHIEVABLE GOALS, JUST LIKE KENNEDY DID IN THE EARLY 60's WITH THE SPACE RACE. WE UNITED OUR THINKERS AND BLEW THE DOORS OFF THE RUSKIES WHO WERE A DECADE AHEAD OF US IN TESTING. THEY DID IT THEN, WE CAN DO IT NOW.

EUROPE (FRANCE, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT) HAS THE FASTEST TRAIN IN THE WORLD.
CHINA HAS A MAG LEV TRAIN.
JAPAN HAS THE MOST MILES OF HIGH SPEED TRAINS AND THE LONGEST TRACK RECORD WITH THEM.
CHINA HAS MADE A NATIONAL GOAL TO COLONIZE THE MOON IN FIVE YEARS OR LESS!!!!!
THE TREE-HUGGING ANTI NUKE CROWD HAS STOPPED ALL NUCLEAR ELECTRICAL GENERATION PLANTS FROM BEING BUILT IN THE LAST 25+ YEARS...SO WE BURN COAL AND OIL...CAN WE SAY HYDROCARBONS!!!
OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM IS LIKE 35th FROM THE TOP IN THE WORLD...THAT IS OUR FUTURE!!!! WE ARE RAISING A BUNCH OF NO-NOTHINGS WHO WANT TO WATCH MTV AND HBO INSTEAD OF STUDYING. THE RAPPERS TELL THEM THAT YOU CAN BE STUPID AND RICH IF THEY CAN RHYME OR PLAY PRO BALL OR THE GIRLS WORK THE STREETS.
WE HAVE THIRD GENERATION WELFARE FAMILIES NOW!!!!

I CAN GO ON BUT MY SOAP BOX HAS SPRUNG A LEAK...LONG HINT, HUH.

Judging by the post from Poetter id guess that he probably writes the stuff on the company website. His third and last parapraph match the original mission statement pretty closely, but maybe a bit better explained this time around.

Sorry to hear about things on the homefront Wally....after reading Poetters post it doesnt seem so OT anymore IMO.

Igor, why were you banned?

Some people were getting banned by "accident", the system was spitting them out if they didn't sign in indefinately. Are you sure? Have you tried again?

If you have a problem...let me know & I will email the posts to you....

..or if you want Rufus has assigned 2 moderators, I can PM them & ask them to unban you....

I got no idea why I was banned, I got no explanation at all. I just now tried, and I'm ip banned as well as username, so I dunno. My username on there was "ironchef", mods can go through my posts and see I didn't really post anything terribly negative worthy of a banning. Can you pm those two mods please.

TIA [Big Grin]
