Man, I am so confused on this certs thing. I'm SO sorry if this has been covered already, but I've re-read old posts and still quite can't get it clear in my head. What's the connection between getting the certs and the $15 Rufus said that he would cover???? Never heard of anything like that and am having a hard time getting a handle on it. Also, I see the benifit for Rufus if we get certs (two points were mentioned earlier today), but other than what I mentioned in my first question, I don't see a real benefit. Can someone please help me out on this one.

did rufus also say that if your name wasn't in the books by the 29th than it was already to late? I know that was the deadline for the waatle share holders. Is there anyway this has more to do with them, and is it me or do they close this thing on a down tick everyday.

Vin...you aren't the only one that is concerned, most aren't sure what to do. As I said before, it is too late to order your CERTS in time for the "reset" IMO. Rufus also stated in the subpennyradio the other night, IF YOU DON"T HAVE your CERTS as long as you can show "proof" that you own your shares, he will make sure that what ever you might have coming you will get...just not sure what that would be...

Vin, I'm in the same boat. Someone mentioned that if something were to happen that Rufus would cover the shareholders and pay $15 per share to them. He would then go after the MM's or borkers or whoever to get his money back.
I don't want to sell at $15, so I'm not liking this. I haven't heard the interview, so I can't say for sure that's what he said.
The only way I can see something like this happening is if Rufus has some way to halt the trading and make all real certs the only this there...thus not give the naked shorts time to cover the "air shares". I'm not talking about time to cover as in I'm giving you a chance, but giving them time to cover at really high prices...as in squeeze. Rufus almost sounds like he has something to do this with, but again...that's in the interview I haven't heard.
Anyone have a link to the interview? That one that was put up here earlier was for the interview before the last one.

The other thing with the certs. It also sounded like you might get some benefits from having certs in your name. I didn't think it was possible to give people with cerst in their names something that everyone (shareholders with shares at their borkers) doesn't get. That was until Tax posted about the Disney bennies. I didn't realize. Tax, can you elaborate on what special treatment you get from having your certs in your name?

Chart...I think that it was you...concerned if your cert gets lost or on fire what ever? the Certs that you get are registered in your SS# and the TA would be able to replace it if you lost it...

Right...I searched the literal translation on the web and someone on HSM offered the other one. I gotta agree with you on the allah thing...made me scratch my head, but it was in the literal translation given on the web. He might have said God in arabic...know what I mean.

There could also be good reasons to begin the price reset at a not too "unrealistically" high price. Technical reasons which would make it easier to get to NASDAQ without too may questions and easier acceptance by regulatory bodies of an "acceptable" price reset. Easier acceptance for institututional buyers to step in and that in turn would continue to drive up share prices farther and continue to support the upward movement. This in turn would also force shorts to continue to push prices higher as they begin to cover because of the continued climb. It would technically be very possible to see the pps even climb to $50 or higher even in the first few hours of trading. The continued climb based on the valuation of the company and continued growth could see a sustained climb over days, weeks and longer.

Carbon emissions trading
Carbon emissions trading involves the trading of permits to emit carbon dioxide (and other greenhouse gases, calculated in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, tCO2e). It is one of the ways countries can meet their obligations under the Kyoto Protocol to reduce carbon emissions and thereby mitigate global warming.
107 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) have been exchanged through projects in 2004, a 38% increase relative to 2003 (78 mtCO2e).[1]
The world's only mandatory carbon trading program is the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (or EUETS). Created in conjunction with the Kyoto Protocol, a 1997 international treaty that took effect in 2005, it caps the amount of carbon dioxide that can be emitted from large installations, such as power plants and factories, in the EU's 25 member countries. Operation A country (or group of countries) caps its carbon emissions at a certain level (this is known as cap and trade) and then issues permits to firms and industries that grant the firm the right to emit a stated amount of carbon dioxide over a time period. Firms are then free to trade these credits in a free market. Firms whose emissions exceed the amount of credits they possess will be heavily penalised. The idea behind carbon trading is that firms that can reduce their emissions at a low cost will do so and then sell their credits on to firms that are unable to easily reduce emissions. A shortage of credits will drive up the price of credits and make it more profitable for firms to engage in carbon reduction. In this way the desired carbon reductions are met at the lowest cost possible to society.
