I can enter a buy at Scottrade. They still don't have the dividend shares.
Spent a little time on the phone with my broker after close today. His opinion was that trading would be halted and all trades reversed. If not he said that some people were going to make a lot of money and some people were going to lose a lot of money. I already knew that LOL. According to him, I can sell the undelivered shares up to the equivalent amount of my margin. I would be responsible for any failure to deliver.
I ain't playing that game. Selling short into a short sqeeze just don't sound like the right thing to do here. Remember, there are some big sharks out there in this pond.
Anyway I wait to due date to see if they are delivered, (they won't be, aren't enough shares to clear) and if they are not I start yelling just like everyone else.

Does anyone here using Ameritrade get them so late, you think that's normal? My first thought was, "oh, that's a good sign" (that it wont get busted). Just never really noticed when I got confirmations before if they ever came in this late at night. Maybe it's due to the "special situation" here???

Reversed? No way. There is already money in other stocks from this. Impossible. Also, why would they be covering today if there was gonna be a halt? Just don't see it happening. I hope I'm right of course and your "broker" is wrong, hehe.

i called ameritrade - the guy couldn't explain it or give a reason. he said it should be fixed in the next hour. something is up. plus, he said the symbol was working on his end and then later retracted and said it wasn't

Just called Ameritrade....Need to wait and talk to reorganization team in 45 min. He said the new cusip number could be part of the problem....didn't think it was halted. They are probably getting the reorganization completed....for instance if you bought shares yesterday, you wouldn't have shares yet.....the symbol might possibly end up having a D on the end for a while until everything is settled.

Well folks, we can look at it this way.....the temptation to sell is growing, if our brokers won't let us trade, we have to assume they are trying to protect us. Right? It certainly takes away the temptation to sell......then we would be nervous wondering if we might have to cover if we were allowed to sell.
Good luck to all.

Looks like some brokers are not giving people shares because of that stupid PR from the company, LOL. If it trades again today, theres no way the company can "rescind" the dividend. Give me a break! Could I "rescind" a short order that went thru, just because one of my stocks went thru the roof? ROFL!!

I still worry about selling this because if you remember before the market opened yesterday....the pps was showing .21
I think if the screwup hadn't occured, they would have opened this stock a lot higher. If we had to buy at those kind of prices we would be ripped to say the least.
On the other hand, if someone's wife sold prematurely, I don't think the rest of those holders are going to miss the run just because of her screwup.....What to do????
