that would be 2 days, there can be legal issues if not there, not sure what those legal issues are, or how serious. But thats the rule, you earn em on ex date and they have to give by due date. (also a lot of times these brokers are IDIOTS when it comes to trading rules)

Etrade had me on hold re:1,500,125 shares for 20 minutes before coming back and saying I purchased (shares) after the split and therefore would NOT be getting the split....

Here is what E-Trade says about liability of not being able to product the shares need for a short: "If E*TRADE Securities is or subsequently becomes unable to borrow the security that I have sold short, I will be subject to a "buy-in," meaning that E*TRADE Securities may repurchase the security on the open market to cover the short position, and I will be liable for any resulting Losses."
Remember this is from the E-Trade Agreement and may not be the same as the one you signed.
Here is the entiter section from the E-Trade Agreement:
(h) Sales and Short Sales....

Keith, almost all buys were at .0001 today. It is doubtful shares will sell below that this week. Lots of buyers will be looking for .0002 or better.
I'm sticking with my .0003 by Friday.

JHenry, I am still fretting over your family wanting to buy a house.
If you don't mind, and I won't be offended if you don't, how many pre-split shares did you buy? Those are the shares last week, before the split. Did you buy 100, 200, 500?

The more this moves along, the more safe we are.
I'm listening to the Nightly Business Report. Missed the first few minutes while hosing myself off, but no mention of GVRP thus far.
