Why on earth would I watch FOX? I can always dig up some old Nazi propaganda films if I want to be lied to.

I found this to be an interesting point.

"Israel has justified the carnage by pointing to the 2 soldiers who were captured by members of the Lebanese resistance organization, Hezbollah. But Israel’s defense is hopelessly flawed.

What if relatives or friends of the many US detainees who’ve been illegally imprisoned at Guantanamo, decided to use F-16s and laser-guided missiles to attack the Golden Gate Bridge, the Sears Tower, New York City’s electrical grid, and vast swathes of the highway system? Would that be equally justifiable? Or, more to the point, what if Hezbollah decided to blow up major parts of Israel’s infrastructure in retaliation for the hundreds of Lebanese prisoners languishing in Israeli prisons without any legal recourse? Would that be okay?"

So now your saying they ARE anti-semitic.

Weren't you the one who was LOL, when I said, "Media support, I don't see it, just watch recent news commentary, they are not pro Israel."

Somebody call an anti-spin Dr. I'm getting dizzy.

[Confused]

Confused Glass? Why? Not anti-semitic at all. Just anti-Gordon. A man who initially states he's jewish to prove a point and then needs to qualify his 1/2 jewishness. I'm 100% jewish and have no problem making that statement. Mind telling me what appears anti-semitic to you. The jewish joke? lol

Gordon, you calling me a moron doesn't even rank as an insult from a pseudo high brow liberal such as yourself.

What happened to the eight soldiers killed and 70 rockets fired into a civilian town?

C'mon man, even you have to know how stupid that sounds. There just supposed to sit there with rockets flying into their homes? No cause for alarm ladies and gents, just those pesky Lebanese acting up again. Nothing to see here, as you were.

It's a sad day when "people of the Book" fight each other. But then it's a sad day when children around the world are dying of hunger at the rate of 32,000 a day. Or when Sudanese people are left to die because we just don't care enough. Or when thousands die in yet another Tsunami. I weep for Palestinian, Israeli, Lebanese children who know too much violence, killing and being killed until violence and death is all they know. Will we, the whole human family, ever repent of our hatreds? Will we ever look into the eyes of our enemies and see people of sacred worth?

How many Rachel Cori's must step in front of bull-dozers to stop the brutality of settlement construction? How many children in Ramallah, Palestinian Authority must play near vats of oil where rats are cooked so they have something to eat? How many Arab Israeli children must find a victim of ethnic cleansing half buried in the dirt around Gish, the remains of nearly 60 years ago? How many Israelis must endure months and months of rockets fired over their heads and landing in their kitchens? How many refugees are forever scarred by the massacres at Sabra and Shatila? Will the cedars of Lebanon ever grow tall again?

My friends as I field more and more emails from friends in Lebanon, Palestine and Israel, some pleading for someone to hear their story, fearing their final hour is near, I know the people in that whole region are suffering. My question to you: can we love them enough, Muslim, Druze, Jew and Christian, to fight to preserve their humanity? Can we struggle with them to pull them back from the abyss? How I long to stand as a human barrier, unarmed but for the faith I carry, to keep fighting foes apart til the wounds scab over and some healing begins. Please people of faith, sisters and brothers all, join me in striving to find a path out of the madness. Others in your own ways, please do likewise.

Agreed glassman, terrorism on both sides must stop. For that to happen the excesses of both sides must be recognized. The mistakes of 1947-8 when the fledgling UN failed to serve either people need to be acknowledged.

There are better peace programs that exist now and conscientious people need to act before this spreads.

Iran needs to stand down...

why can you not acknowledge that the issue here is about the Sunnis (Pakistan) having a nuke and the Shia not having a nuke?

Bush didn't even know the difference when he invaded iraq...
the dems are in disarray...

the GOP doesn't have a moral position anymore, they just have better spin doctors...

the UN is not a church, it's no better or worse than any other political organisation

hezbolah is the fist of iran...
the iranians are looking at the culmination of a 15 year plan...
they were at war with sadam (unni) and we stepped in and finished it for THEM...

you think you can just step in and "make it all better"? this mess is not of our making....
we have made it worse

osambinalivetoolong? he just wants the crown of Saud...
he has been trying to get US to help him

taliban translates religious students... think about it..

My friend, you are looking at the situation at this moment as though it has been forever. The Iranians, first of all have not had a 15 year plan, but they are going to acquire nukes. Saddy's scientists are helping.

This mess is our making through colonialism and cold war.

Hezbollah was made by the 1948 decision that did so much damage to Arab and Israeli.

Read Ilan Pappe, Elias Chacour, David Grossman, Eduard Said, Marc Ellis and you will find the best explanation of the root causes of instability, the growth of Hezbollah and Fatah.

For instance, Hezbollah grew out of the Masscres at Sabra and Shatila, but that's getting ahead of myself. Let me give you a timeline that refers to Iraq:

http://www.infoplease.com/spot/iraqtimeline1.html

Now one that refers to Iran:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/country_profiles/806268.stm

Now to the Arab Israeli conflict in general:

http://www.mideastweb.org/timeline.htm

Now while the last timeline only goes back to 1917 and the Balfour declaration, despite the popular idea that this has gone on since Isaac and Ishmael, the real tensions only really began around 1850. Palestinian national identity coalesced a century before that as the Ottoman Empire restructured.

As for Hezbollah (which does not mean Fist of Iran, it means "party of God" hez-bo-llah

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/07/14/israel.lebanon.timeline/index.html

We stepped in to finish Saddy off and Iran was found out for doing what it has long attempted with Russian help: fissile material. The purpose is to target Israel with whom they are at war, and the US, whom they view as the Great Satan.

Bin Laden wants more than the Saud crown, he wants a global state under his rule or a global ash heap.

The Pakistani weapon has little to do with this as Pakistani weapons are pointed South, not West. The dynamic between Sunni and Shia is not as severe as you imagine. It is being manipulated by Sunni who realize the US successful removal of Sady puts them out of the thuggery business.

human nature 101:

BUTTHOLE SURFERS LYRICS

"Pepper"

Marky got with Sharon
And Sharon got Sharice
She was sharing Sharon's outlook
On the topic of disease
Mikey had a facial scar
And Bobby was a racist
They were all in love with dyin'
They were doing it in Texas
Tommy played piano
Like a kid out in the rain
Then he lost his leg in Dallas
He was dancing with a train
They were all in love with dyin'
They were drinking from a fountain
That was pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I don't mind the sun sometimes
The images it shows
I can taste you on my lips
And smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and sugary
And softly spoken lies
You never know just how you look
Through other people's eyes
Some will die in hot pursuit
In fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

"Saddy's scientists are helping." do you mean Saudi's?

If so I think you might be mistaken

The likeliest future nuclear exchange in the Middle East may not be between Israel and Iran, after all, but between Shi'a and Sunni Muslims.

The Pakistani bomb is a Sunni bomb. Tehran is hell-bent on having a Shi'a bomb to counter it.
Sauds are comprised of mostly Sunni's

"The Pakistani bomb is a Sunni bomb. Tehran is hell-bent on having a Shi'a bomb to counter it.

The above is a common misconception. Iran's seeking the bomb primarily to finish Israel off and to defend against the coalition. Pakistan is more occupied with the Hindu Bomb and Kashmir.

It will intensify between Pakistan and India too because if I heard correctly (I collect rocks and minerals) some HUGE wealth in mineral stores has been discovered in parts of Kashmire. Some claim pegmatites that will rival Minas Gerais, Brazil as a gemstone capitol. Others also suggest there may be oil but I do not know if that has really been found.

The Shi'a and Sunni will not exchange nuke blasts until they have dealt with those threats. The Sunni in Pakistan are closer to Iran than you think. The populace supports Iran because they see the bomb as a Muslim bomb that will be used against the West. Musharaff will not live forever and when it falls, Pakistan will ally with Iran and the remnants of the Taliban. The tie that will make this possible is the closer tie of ethnicity.

As to the Saddy's scientists, I was refering to Saddam Hussein's not Saudi's. Sorry for using an obscure abbreviation.
