Yes, it is. Shorting the stock is usually bad. But in this case I hope they shorted outrageous amounts of shares. Why? Because the shorts are now screwed because of the divvy. They are playing beat the clock to buy back all the shares they shorted before the xdate otherwise they have to pay for the dividend.
Regular buyers recieve the divvy. But shorts have to pay because they sold borrowed shares. Factor in this with everyone else who wants to get in to recieve the divvy and demand is outrageous.

.0003x.0004 HDSN is the only mm on the bid. He's one of the mm's that I believe doing the major shorting.

You would think that those who naked short this would have something better to do, than to try to scramble to stay out of paying a divvy for a stock that they been naked shorting. Seems desperate.
