Kitty, I got a similar explanation from Scottrade back around 7/11/2006 when they had placed a restriction on my account (see earlier posts) when I started to inquire about removing the restriction as I had purchased my position after the June 15 cutoff date for the buyback. It took several phone calls, but I did get Scottrade to remove the restriction in my case. As you have specifics related to your account may be different from mine, perhaps this might give encouragement... and keeping calling the Ameritrade and if necessary keep escalating to a higher level of management until you believe your getting a satisfactory answer(s) and resolution actions to the hold being removed. Hope this helps. Good Luck

While TD AMERITRADE verifies the terms of the buyback and updates positions accordingly, opening and closing transactions for PAIM have been restricted.
Inquiries regarding the status of the company should be directed to the investor relations department of Pearl Asian Mining.
Have a great day!
Have a great day....hmmm, but I did make some bucks with a 4,200% gain, shouldn't complain. So I'm out for now with common shares, I went with xkem and xsnx. I wish you all luck!

I placed a sell order for some to see if they would take it and they did so, AT is letting people sell but not buy because AT will have to pay a pretty penny to cover this thing...

Were you originally able to put the buy order in and then later they sent you that message? Cause I put a GTC order in and I didn't get a message at the time of placement.
Thx, Jo

So for a while we're at 48X50, with most trades at 50. Then the ask jumps to 55 and then the bid follows, jumping to 50. Then there's a trade at 50.
So we're expected to believe that someone held out when the ask was at 50, refusing to sell at the ask. But then when the price heads north, suddenly they have a change of heart and sell not at the ask, not in the spread, but at the bid.
It's like they're calling us stupid.

some people here claim that a few brokers are not allowing the purchasing of PAIM, does anyone know if the same happened with PAIV a couple months ago?

yes it did...from what i've read, some restricted shares were sold which should not have been and the brokers are in error so they have to repurchase those shares and drove value up...same situation with PAIM...but the restriction seems to be kinda sporadic because i've heard a lot of mixed things from different people on this board and from my personal experience, I bought my shares last week thursday just fine through TDA, i put an order in to buy more yesterday and it said i could not open transaction on this security...i tried again today and the order was accepted, it hasnt filled but its because im tryin to get in at .0046 and i dont think it will get that low again.

so does anyone know what is the prgress of the brokerages buying back the shares to give to PAIM? I mean are they trying to buy them off the market right now or are they waiting for a certain date of some kind? With PAIV, the stock has dropped back down to about .08-.10 so I'm assuming the shortage was already repurchased by the brokerages...

The reason PAIV is down is because everyone is selling to get their massive profits. Remember that PAIV was around PAIM level not too long ago. I don't think the buying back is completed. Right now, MMs are trying to get in the action. This will soon rocket high like PAIV into penny land.

that articles written 3 posts up was written on july 20th so im assuming the buying back should have started (if the brokerages are smart). tonic seems to be up on the whole situation pretty well, plus he's made a fortune on both, so he must know something we dont..
