Q doesn't seem like a company that will take 10 years to get valuable. One reason is the type of product they have is this in your face media exposure that they are getting from more and more places all the time.IMO

Ligge, I think I agree....would you clarify for me?

....some walk away comfortable for life--they sell on the big bang?

......others stay and whine.

Did you mean they hold long and gripe, or they stayed on the board but did not get in before the big bang?

I didn't read your post as QTN taking ten years to fly. I read it as in your experience of 10 years of observing startups.

EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!!!!
Ladies and Gentleman.......

I have just gotten off the phone with Richard Brown- equity relations for QBID...and i will try and report everything as i heard it!!(Bare with me..lol)
I will write questions first,then answers(obviously..lol)

1.Good call on the Friday PR.
Yeah Frank felt that he needed to address the investors

2. Although, that sorta PR was given out a couple of months ago and many posters are saying "we have seen this again". Do you understand that Frank needs to bring credibility back this time by actually showing shareholders he was not lieing.
Well, i can not get into what Frank thinks he can do or what the plan involves. From the last PR about this, many postives have occred and huge improvements have as well..(i didnt like this ansewr, but understand why he said it.)

3. Just wanna hear it for myself--"Frank is not selling shares".
Frank has told me many times verbally that he IS NOT SELLING SHARES.

4. The indicators are there of diluting, but he definately isnt, so the only thing left MM manipulation, or just flat out naked short selling.
IT is way to complicated to tell who or what MM is doing the manipulation and Q more than likely is being naked shorted

Exactly Frank has already stated that he feels the company will be profitable by the time the games start next year which would be phenominal because the average channel doesnt get to that stat untill 3-5 years.

Profitable for the company will mean all the debts will be paid and the value of the company will imediatley begin to rise. which means our proffits will as well.

I didn't read your post as QTN taking ten years to fly. I read it as in your experience of 10 years of observing startups.

I meant they waited to late and either try and chase (too little to late) and fail or just miss the boat entirely and cry about what could have been.

Depending on your definition of long hold... I would say this is probably a safe one to hold long. I know I will sell some as we rise, the % depends on why we are rising and at what speed, but I expect to have 50% of this stock in 5 or more years. Either as QBID or as a different symbol due to a buy out/merger.

And no, I did not say Q was a 10 year wait. You nailed it. I just meant based on my experience from watching the ones that have tried and failed or succeeded the last 10 years I see Q as very similar to many of those from the past and they are without a doubt, in my mind, on the right track.

Retirement would be nice, of course, but I am in this for the fun and the distinct possibility I can take a few years off, maybe open up a little cafe somewhere, and enjoy some life for a while.

5. Audit completion date
They have called me many times regarding the audit and how much progress has been made. As far as a date, Frank will not ever give out a date anymore that has to be stood behind.

6. Webcam video. I know you must know the webcam wasnt to good, anyway you could hook up a streamlined video to show the real Q live?
Well...i did take a look at the webcam friday before i left and could tell that it wasnt up to par. but, Frank has spoken to cable executives and they frown down on this type of activities.

7. What do you think the negatives are of Qbid Stock?
Obviously the financials need to be filed and become fully reporting. Other than that, Frank knows what needs to be done and is trying his best.

8. Message boards, how often do you review them?
I rarely personally visit them, but i have a few trusted individuals that from time to time will send me emails telling me about the comings and goins on the boards.

Cable delays local launch of new lgbt network, LOGO
By Brad Smith
“I want my Gay TV!” That’s what Viacom MTV Networks would like us to say about its new channel, LOGO. LOGO debuted in about 10 million homes in parts of the United States at the end of June. Time Warner Cable added LOGO to its digital lineup in other cities, but so far, refuses to do that in Rochester.

“The company is in negotiations to carry LOGO in Rochester and our other markets, says Time Warner Rochester spokesperson Brian Wirth. “We may have an announcement by the end of the year or early in 2006.” Wirth adds that Time Warner may also add the premium gay channel Here! (about $10 per month) and Q television, a pay per view service (pricing similar to mainstream movie services) available in a few big cities. Here! and Q could gain more viewers and eventually benefit from LOGO’s addition to cable systems around the country.

Money is delaying the rollout. Both sides need to agree on how much MTV should pay Time Warner (if anything) to add LOGO in more than two dozen cities. As an example, Viacom might insist that cable companies carry LOGO if they want to continue to offer Viacom channels such as MTV, VH1, CMT and as many as 10 others.

The delay may help Time Warner avoid confrontations with conservatives who oppose anything gay. Organizations affiliated with the hate group Focus on the Family have launched campaigns to pressure cable companies to refuse the channel. Time Warner in Rochester won’t confirm that, blaming the delay on corporate negotiations that are “out of local control.”

Should negotiations result in the addition of LOGO to the local cable lineup at the end of the year (six months after its launch), customers may find the announcement in the end of the year mailing that details the annual cable price hike. Cable is a business with at least three revenue streams, but the money doesn’t go as far as it used to: channels pay to be carried, customers pay for the service, and cable also makes money selling advertisements.

Even in a 500-channel universe, a spot on the dial is not cheap. For example, Time Warner and the owners of WUHF-TV 31 Fox Rochester couldn’t agree on the charge to add the high definition (HD) Fox signal to the cable lineup, frustrating cable customers who invested in expensive TV sets to watch American Idol in HD. Some stations dare to suggest that cable should pay them for what can be expensive local broadcasting efforts.

What is LOGO? LOGO is a 24/7 digital cable channel whose president is Brian Graden, a gay man in his 40s from the Illinois countryside who attended Oral Roberts University. He gave us shows such as South Park, The Week That Was, I Love the 80s, Jackass and Punk’d.

Don’t expect to see such extreme programming on LOGO. LOGO bills itself as a mix of original and acquired entertainment that is smart, inclusive and authentic. LOGO features a library of 200 major film titles, documentaries and news coverage, plus original series and specials. It’s not just for men or just for women. Future issues of The Empty Closet will add more details on programming if the service is added.

Viacom promised that LOGO would be on the air two years ago (then called Outlet). America, which had no LGBTQ niche channels, now has several. Advertisers want to reach the biggest groups of consumers as cheaply as possible, and to them, the gay market is more attractive. Won’t the rest of America be surprised to see commercials on gay TV are as mundane – or the same - as the ones they are used to seeing?

As the major networks sanitize their lineups, LOGO and the other new channels may offer the opportunity to come home, flop on the couch and find someone on TV to identify with.

yet another piece of the puzzle.

Looks like LOGO doesnt have the viewers that they originally stated they would have. This could be in our fabvour. They are trying to bully thier way on to TW and all we want to do is say here let us give you half of the subscription cost.

we are not going to be pushy, but we can fill that spot for you. lol

you gotta love our positioning. I think this is great. The Rochester are is a large step.

I think old Franky has a few more tricks up his sleaves yet, actually i know he does [Smile]

I agree that these guys deserve getting "bashed" back (I'd use a Louisville Slugger if I knew where they lived [Big Grin] ), but unfortunately replying to their posts just encourages them to keep posting.

I used to reply to them a lot because I believed they were "reasonable" people who would "care" what I was telling them. I was wrong on both counts. Finally I realized that the only effective response to stupid people is to IGNORE THEM.

Read back a couple pages and you'll see what one "former" basher says: "I would laugh my ass off when people would repost my stuff multiple times." He now is pumping the stock because he says he recently bought shares again and is waiting for it to run very soon.

Too bad that some people put money before personal integrity . . . but that pretty much describes most corporate executives and all politicians that I've ever known [Big Grin] [Big Grin] (I wish I were kidding).
