i put a GTC sell order in before the bell at .0031 it most likely wont fill till next week. and i dont think this is the end of qbid. but, things just arent looking that great right now. i just think the money could be put in another stock for now. right now im at a $2000 loss on qbid off of 1 million shares. but i made $1500 off qbid in december. so, its really only about $500. but still i hate to give back my profits. but if my order does fill, i may get back in qbid at some point later on down the road.
Thats a different approach, I'm getting back in at .0031. Unless it drops below .002, then i will get in at .0025.

Can anyone in TV/Video explain this to me?!?...
If QTV is available:
SATELLITE
C-Band Intelsat 13 (120 degrees west) on Transponder 18
Then why does RCN need bandwidth?!? I am pretty certain that RCN does not just download the signal in one place and then distribute via fiber??? I would guess that they download from Sat in each major metro area and distribute locally..... something just isn't right with this statement!!!!!

Another thought.... does anyone know if comcast for example has independent cable operators in different areas...like McDonalds...ie McDonalds does not own every restaurant... they are independently owned and royalties are payed to the corp for use of the name....
If comcast is similar, I could see how signatures would be needed by the independent owners as well.... this is all in my opinion....thoughts???

As a courtesy... I have decided that I am getting out of Q for a while... I am going to wait until after the mkt opens and see what happens, but even with an announcement of morning show hosts, more shows, Q on the move, etc... this is not going to go up.... investor sentiment is so far down, it will only move with the announcement of carriers.....and after reading the note on the investor page, it will be a couple weeks at least before they announce them... The charts "were" prime for a move up, however, with it piercing the lower bolli band today, the bears have taken over and it will move lower.
This has not been an easy decision as I have held Q for so long through many ups and downs. My 4 mill shares sold now, will buy five million next week when we are in the low 20's... I will get back in then....
Good luck to all!!!!

Rod, how are you this evening? Rolled over my 401K that was with Fidelity to a Fidelity IRA...said they would give me 5 free trades...when it all rolled over...the trade limit was 1000 shares...lol...$2.90 transaction...lol...they wanted $725.00 to trade 5 mil shares...duh?...so I rolled over the $15K I had in MM fund to a Scottrade IRA...can do the same 5 mil for $77.00...lol
...but now...may get 7-7 1/2 mil for the same buck due to the weak hands...while I appreciate and understand the long's pain(I still hold 7 mil...ever decreasing in value), I truly believe this is only a temporary set-back.
...I'll watch this week...but if I can fill my IRA account w/ the 7+ mil...then swing the 7 I have in my regular account...that will be sweet...
Take care, Terry
P.S. Jeff, made a few hundred bucks on UNQT...thanks....Terry

Terry... great on UNQT.... I made about the same... I am hoping that there is a PR tomrrow am for the RCN stuff as they said imminent on the delay. As an old controls engineer, I would be having to stay up all night to get my installations running. I don't understand why it is taking soo long.... If there is no PR, I will sell 1/2 to all and flip it this week/next week. I believe I can easily add 1 mill to my position.

Actually, no, I never did really learn how to program a VCR!
However, I do recall the discussions on this board about the different "forms" types of transmissions. Seems that there is not a standard signal format, and cable companies must send three different signals.
Does anyone else remember the cable guy from New Orleans who explained why QTN had to send their signal through Firestone?
Please correct me if my memory is fading. I think someone, possibly Frank, said that RCN's cables had to be upgraded to fiber optic or HD or digital or something for QTN to be in the right format for a new carriers.

I recall a pr where q would not be ready to broadcast in HDTVun till the second quarter. my guess it that the big carriers will not carry us till this happens.
just my opinion nothing to back it up with other then the fact that there is a dead line that all broadcastors have to be broadcasting in HDTV by. My guess it that by a cetain date the new qualifications for carriage would be that you broadcast in HDTV

3/2/2005 - RE: 2/15/05 Press Release The release of the 123 stations being aired has been delayed due to longer than expected negotiations. Deals of this nature require many approvals and although Triangle Multimedia assumed all important parties involved had agreed, Triangle Multimedia has come to realize that due to the extensive carriage agreement, final discussions are still pending. This in no way indicates that the agreement has been dropped, it simply means more time is required.
3/2/2005 - RE: RCN
Although the RCN rollout has been successful in Boston, Manhattan and San Francisco, RCN is experiencing difficulties extending the coverage area. Significant bandwidth issues in targeted cities have prevented Q Television from being aired. Both parties have addressed this issue and resolution is imminent
3/2/2005 - RE: 2/14/05 Press Release
Applications will be available on 3/09/05 -----------------------------------------------
Applications for what exactly ??
This seems positive to me, "resolution is imminent". Could be all sorted out in the next week or 2 ??

Q Television will be placing an application form on its web site (www.qtelevision.com) where all active members of the GLBT community can apply. The network hopes to have the advisory board operating very soon. It is expected to convene over the internet every other week initially, and then change to a monthly meetin.
Question answered.
Hope ur right bear, I'd take 20%. MSEP looks hot.....

Hmmmmm.......
Couldn't help but notice that many of you observed the conservative positions of the institutions.
Please keep this in mind about these institutional holders. They're exactly that "Holders"! This is a long term bet for them & the money they have in this is earmarked as risk capital. There are institutions that buy a cross section of "High risk stocks" after they've determined which ones have long term potential. They are not day traders and couldn't care less about a 50% spike. They bought with a time horizon & will maybe glance at the holding once a month after they've held it the first year. They are not interested in 100% gains! They bought a handful of companies & are looking for just one of them to realise monster potential 100,000% gains & beyond!

I've been a long holder of this. But I'm out today with a 49% profit. I can't stand seeing my money dwindle away and be lied to time after time. I may come back to daytrade this if it drops into the low 20's. Good luck. Some of you people have amazing faith. Keep in mind the #1 rule....

Highlights of Corporate Seminar
The seminar held in Texas was deemed a great success by all that attended. The open forum meetings were divided into many topics and everyone from senior management, sales, network, talent and support was there.
The goal of the 36 hour conference was to address the current climate of the company, discuss future goals and repair past mistakes.
Internal Communication - Create a new internal structure to better communicate with senior, middle management and support staff. The company's main focus will entail enhancing better software management solutions.
Meet & Greet - Senior management, sales and support met and interacted with Q Television's talent. They discussed ways to work together in achieving content success as well as business appreciation.
Future Planning
1. Importance of carriage - Continue discussions with national carriers and to aggressively target certain demographics important to the company's business model. Continue to build the necessary team to ensure carrier agreements.
2. Sponsoring Events - From the plethora of sponsored events, choosing and implementing a strategic plan to support and sponsor as many relevant events in the G/L community.
3. Advertisers and or Sponsors - Stronger sales initiatives in regards to advertisers. This will be done by enhancing the current sales force and equipping them with the proper resources to close deals.
4. Creative Discussions on Future Original Programming - White boarding ideas in regards to future programs only available on Q Television.
