Share Buybacks vs. Share Retirements Share buyback is a company's repurchase of shares that the company has previously issued. This action reduces the number of shares outstanding. This move usually is an optomistic sign because management believes that the share price is undervalued and sees good use in putting cash to work, increasing mangement control in the company to prevent a buyout, or trying to raise their earnings per share number. Now, a share retirement runs along the same lines, except that the company intends to re-issue the shares later on.

This thread is turning into quite the ribtickler . Some of these comments by Stock and the others laying insults are more funny than most standup comedians , i especially enjoy the little yellow school bus one , that one really had me in stitches , keep up the good work .
Think it's time for all involved to form a comedy troupe , you def have the talent for it . Anytime i have a bad day with the stocks , i can always count on this thread to give me some nice chuckles .
Seriously though Ican is turning out to be quite a story , i'm excited to be in on it , but there is always that chance it can turn out to be bogus , so i'm still not totally sold , at this point i'm pleasantly surprised .
