"...a joint venture to develop the Russian Oil market."
This means North-West does not have capital cash for drilling and extraction. North-West is giving away a percentage of future revenue in exchange for a company, with capital cash, to carry the burden of development costs. If no revenue or loss revenue is generated, this is a problem.
Looking at AURC, same problem. AURC is in financial dire straights and will need to "farm out" mining because AURC has less money than in your pocket.
This is not a good signal.
Best I can figure is AURC, NDOL and North-West are purchasing a lot of mineral rights which none can afford then are scrambling to form joint ventures to bring in revenues, along with hyping stock sales suggesting each is dumping common shares into the markets via direct sales or equity exchange with lenders.
Should you look at AURC financials, you will discover this net worth they claim is less than the liabilities carried; negative value for the company, a "on paper" only company.

westcott i second what you said. this is good news. and it's amazing to see the mood swings by everyone. The people that were once pumping and excited... completely getting pissed because they havn't seen the 8-k. and for all we know it could come out today. and if its not out till next monday so be it. most of you said your in for long haul, so be in it for long haul and quit worrying about it. Parkin also said there should be a PR blitz for the next few weeks...

That news ain't going to get us to 70 cents. Everyone is waiting before much more money is invested on the 8k and 10Q. It's not doom and gloom its cold hard facts! You can't buy stocks with your heart. I have just as much as anyone invested in this and want it to suceed, but it seems if you bring up the bad side of things round here you are a outcast.

This looks like something NWOG has been working on for awhile. I suspect alot of this happening in the future. If we were not so worried about getting the financials today, this would be huge news. Keep an out for Saratovneftegaz.
Purl they do need foreign investment. We have been discussing this for some time. Which is why I believe they went public. Almost every web site you visit will acknowledge this, but this is not gloom and doom. Gazprom, and Lukeoil fall into this exact same category as they are also seeking foreign investment. Lest not forget the U.S. government is probably going to be dumping a ton on money into Russia for a pipeline that the Russians will own, operate and control.

All this would be fine except that NW has been actively involved in cash acquisitions of oil assets.

Here is the difference uptickds. You and many others have opted to hang your hats on the 8-k for near-term performance. Many other people are here for the long-run regardless of short-term volatility. I am just tired of hearing the same crap every day:
E-mail Parkin, call Parkin, where is Parkin, where is the 8-k, where is the PR, this is fluff, where is the 8-k, yes...I'll have a side of 8-k with my burger, anybody meet Parkin, how do you spell Parkin, does Parkin have an 8-k in Parkin, I want my Parkin, anyone else allergic to 8-k, will the new ticker symbol be 8-k, is Parkin French or Polish, how do you say 8-k in Russian?

Whose cash?

Why does it matter, Purl? Remember, this is a "pump and dump scheme":

I wrote many known pump sites are pumping this stock and many in this thread are very clearly pumping this stock. I also wrote behavior of management is typical of a pump and dump scheme. Many warning signs are apparent and many ignored those warnings.
I now write this is a pump and dump stock being confirmed today by pr news. Not only did management of this company initiate this panic selling, they also added confusion and fear with conflicting news; they screwed up.
Bottom line is management, through their written statements, have made it clear their intent is to drive share price up and this is their only concern. This confirms a pump and dump scheme.

West you don't have a clue. I've owned this since it was sub .10. So I can say I'm in it long. But you have to question delays. It seems to me this merger was planned before the buyout. DO I have proof, no. That's my opinion. I'll be holding this stock long after you sell and try to make another buck on something else so don't tell me about hanging hats on the 8K. If you don't like the crap buy a roll of butt wipes. If you want everything painted rosey then, "tomorrow we'll have a PR and stock will jump to a buck as some think it will and continue to climb without a red day for years.."

Calm down, uptickds, breathe into your little brown bag. If you would like to question delays then more power to you. However, why not pick up the phone and call someone at the company instead of firing the same old sentiments into this thread. I am in this, like you, for the long haul. So we have something in common. I am just asking for cooler heads - that's all.

Go play some other stocks that release PR's that are lucky to release a PR monthly...

I have a kitchen, an oven and a pie pan. I have no ingredients to bake a pie. I approach my dear neighbor who lives in a little pink house.
"Suzy Creamcheese, if you will come over and bake a pie, you can use my kitchen, oven and pie pan. In exchange, you can have two pieces of pie."
She does.
While Suzy Creamcheese, wearing her pink sweat pants and pink tennis shoes, is baking a pie, I am out selling pieces of pie to other neighbors.
"This will be the greatest pie you have ever eaten! Famous French chef, La Suzie CreamLaCheese is baking this pie! You simply must buy a piece of this pie!"
After all is half-baked and done, after cleaning up and all have returned to their pink houses, I have no pie, did not eat pie, but have a pocket book full of money. I use this money to pay my mortgage, pay my utility bill and have a bunch of money left over.

Here is how I am looking at this. Every Russian oil company is trying to get foreign investments. He who sucks oil the fastest wins. If NWO ventures with a foreign GOVERNMENT owned entity, the company controling the enterprise is already a foregone conclusion. Oil is a competitive market, the U.S. is offering to pay for a pipeline to the pacific, so it can have first dibs on Russian oil and beat the Chineese. It just may be a possibility that the Indian government is also trying to secure some oil for India. I could be wrong, but this makes sense to me. And I'll say it again, I don't think a company looking for long term investments is going to start by scaming the investors.
Purl I really don't understand the AURC finiancials. I am not a big fan of the company because it is going to take to much time to make any money. Mining is extremely expensive I hope it pays off, but just because Parkin is involved in this pie doesn't mean NWOG is associated with AURC.

Why do they have to come out this week? Read the remark from Parkin, "The merger deal will be concluded after it is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission next week. Assets of the new joint company are believed to total $1.25 billion after the merger."
SO it could be next week it's really anyones guess.
