Hard to do DD on this one, their website doesn't appear to load. Looking at the charts, its way oversold at this point. What are some other opinions? It actually has revenue and looks like a well run company. Would have to see what the product is. AAC is holding strong at .80 (as the "next" ebay)

I don't follow this one closely so I have never heard of PrizeWise. Can you give us an explanation as to what it is and does it somehow compliment their patch products, gun sights, etc?

Upside, Prizewise is like ebay. Except that you purchase $1 raffel tickets instead of an auction. You can purchase more if you like but you only have to get one to win the product. To sell, you set your reserve i.e. 20,000 for a 15,000 car and then they sell the chances to win. Once they sell 20,000 tickets the selling is stopped. Then they raffel, pull one name and contact the winner. Prizewise then pays the seller, not the winner. The only down side I see is that you may want too much money for the object you are selling and your reserve will not be met. I don't know what happens to the $ already paid for that object. But the Upside (scuse the pun) is you have the opportunity to pay one buck and win something like a car. Big payoff. Sorta like many penny stock.

Thats a brilliant idea. But unless they have inroads somewhere or the dough to generate the traffic it needs, it wont succeed. To get 45000 people to pay the $1 to get in the raffle, they will need somewhere in the range of 250-300K hits (at their current buy/hit ratio). And actually probably much closer to 1 million. That takes teaming up with the like of Yahoo, AOL, Bravenet etc... which has a very large traffic base to pull from. Just my analysis.

Also curious how you patent a raffle (even if it is in electronic format).

You can Patent a technology like Priceline did...Consider that Compass Capital Group provided a commitment to provide $5 million in capital funding. Apparently they believe in the company, and one should follow the smart money..

Im in on this. Well diversified company and prizewise could be huge, I liken it to a lottery. I mean, I will spend a buck for a chance to win a 200K house. With 1 in 400,000 odds its much better than the lotto I would think.

The commercial they plan to run is well done to, make sure you take a look at that.

found this on the website....

What if my item doesn't sell enough tickets?

You have 185 days to accumulate ticket entries for your item. If in that amount of time you do not reach the target number of ticket entries you have requested, the raffle will be closed and tickets will be returned to all buyers.

After your raffle has closed due to insufficient ticket entries, you will have the option to relist the item and start a new raffle.

I'm not really concerned about their 17% fee since most sellers will receive a higher selling price than they would on ebay. Also they have a novel idea where 1% of the gross sale goes to the charity of your choice. Think of the money they will make just on the float (holding money) alone. People purchasing tickets need to buy 15 at a time which PrizeWise has immediate access to collect interest on these dollars. The item is not raffled off for say 1-2 months or even longer for major prizes, this can potentially be millions in their bank account earning interest.
This can be a big Opportunity for those of us that buy in early. If this concept takes off, you will become a wealthy person, even if they struggle, they can partner with Google or Yahoo or even ebay,,,,,,The Potentional is Great. What do you have to lose a couple grand, its peanuts compared to the upside….The company has been around for quite a few years and has other products to support its financial obligations and it just reported its 2nd consecutive profitable quarter…..Compare this to the other stocks people are recommending, some of which do not have any revenue stream….Just remember Opportunity doesn’t knock often…

The 17% doesnt scare me because you "should" be gaining double value on whatever you are selling. I was actually thinking of getting rid of my house this way, I would be happy to pocket an extra 100K or so.

Have you guys checked out the registration process? http://www.prizewise.com/register1.asp

Interestsing little math quiz they make you take.

I didn't notice the 1% to the charity of your choice thing earlier. I have to look for that again, but I like that idea a lot, and thanks for pointing it out. Just that one point alone, properly exploited in advertising will get a lot of people to go prizewise instead of ebay. The key will be the advertising, obviously. One of their early PR's on this said something about a strong campaign concurrent with launch, and that will be crucial. I like their sample commercial, but I can't wait to see more ads produced which accentuate their unique platform, the 1% to charity angle, etc. I agree, their set-up is just different enough from the others that I could see a successful non-threatening partnering with one of the big boys being beneficial to all (someday). My email to them asking for any info on airdates for commercials was not answered (for weeks now) and I noticed their launch date has been moved again, now to May 21. This doesn't worry me, as an email I sent them about their last delay was answered promptly with a very positive tone about all the work they are doing to get the site ready. I dug it up:
"Sorry, we're working the office, site, merchant accounts, servers, etc...
literally 15 hours a day. We "should" launch in three weeks. You should
notice small changes on the site between now and then (Just this hour we've
added a new User Agreement and "Animals, Pets & Lovestock" category), but
the main changes are taking place here. Things are coming along, we're
excited."

I received that on April 4 when I inquired about the delayed April 1 launch. I don't care if they delay again, because my gut tells me they are working round the clock to make it fly right. Same feeling I got from emails to Gameznflix weeks ago to the effect, that they are hard at work. Good feeling on this one, holding long. GLTA.

Just so to be sure I'm posting only true info, here's an excerpt from the PR dated Feb 2, about their plans for advertising this properly:

"Steve Rinehart, originator of the PrizeWise system and president of the 21st Century subsidiary stated, ``This concept is truly exciting. Even if we penetrate only 1 percent on of the internet auction market, we will produce revenue of $200 million dollars per year. The launch will be accompanied by an aggressive advertising campaign to let the people know. We believe that they will love PrizeWise.''
"

Aggressive. Nice.
cheers.

I like the concept of the website, but I also agree with the above. Granted, it'd be on a bigger scale than say your home town's volunteer fire department raffle by selling tickets on a national level, but when you consider how many listings with each listing having tons of outstanding tickets, Prizewise would have to sell a ridiculous amount of tickets to sell out on each item.

Basically looking at it as a lottery, look at sites with the same type of theme: FreeLotto.com, Grab.com... These sites when first introduced became huge but since then have garnered less and less traffic. And all people had to do to earn tickets with these was to look at paid sponsor advertising. With Pricewise, you have to buy tickets and even though the chances of winning an item might be better than sites like FreeLotto, it still costs money.

Then again, online gambling does have an extremely huge market.

I love the idea of Prizewise but I'm still torn on how well it could do.

When I go on ebay, its because I want to get a better price on something I need/want than retail.

If my dvd player breaks, ill go on ebay and bid up to the most im willing to spend, and most likely I will be able to get my a new dvd player in a day or two. I dont want to wait X amount of days just to have a chance at winning a new dvd player.

I really do think its an interesting concept, but it will not be an ebay replacement.

I don't know how they are generating revenue. Here are some interesting statistics on Prizewize.com from the sources the professionals use.

Alexa rating - 358,201
That is equivilant to about 50 visits/day at most.

Google Pagerank - 1/10
Google doesn't even know the site exists

Marketleap search engine report - 42 links
Neither Google or AlltheWeb have a link to Prizewize. MSN has one link, Altavista has one link and HotBot has two links. Insignificant.

So where's the beef? Where is the revenue coming from? I smell something fishy.

So basically the stocks looks great but they cant seem to break out yet...even with the positive news yesterday. Why dont they have links from yahoo or other search engines that are more popular like google. Also isnt the cash flow very negative on this stock? I hold a small chunk of shares, and love the idea of the website plus the patents that might get approval from government, but the stock doesnt seem to move like it should with all the positive information out on it. Maybe QBID is the better play if the soft launch goes well. What are your thoughts?
